Which way you would like to run PKHeX?  Launching the PKHeX app or using WINE to run the ".exe"

The app in your screenshot^ is "macOS Sierra 10.12.X" friendly.  If, Sierra is your OS then it should launch.

Since it's not a .exe file, i found another link on this post that gave me this folder, and ran the .exe file using wine as was directed in that same previous post. However, the result i was given was this:

If you want to run the ".exe" with WINE, it appears that you need to install some Winetricks.  More specifically, the ".NET Framework 4.6" one.

Got it to work! I had to approve the application for launch since it wasn't downloaded off the app store, so make sure your security preferences allow you to open those apps.

Mine looked like the top photo but it won't launch.

I believe ReignOfComputer's response  to your topic, Mac Help is correct where he mentions .NET Framework.  --Install the 4.6 .NET Framework Winetrick.

As far as the PKHeX app, maybe kai1998's solution will help:

Each time i try to use the app it just keeps doesn't load. (doesn't bounce)

I try to open the .EXE directly with wine and it just says I need .NET framework 4.6.
Which i try to download the .NET framework 4.6 and it gives me the error of how its not supported by the operating system.

I've spent the past hour trying research but all i can tell is that the installation of .NET framework 4.6 is necessary but don't know how to install it in to wine.

Read back through this thread, I’m sure you’ll find a solution. It seems like a common  nuisance.

As far as installing .NET Framework 4.6, you don’t actually install it on macOS.

Open wine.

And then....

After dumping my save(UM) with Checkpoint and transferring using ftpd>Filezilla I get this error:

Attempted to load an unsupported file type/size

File Loaded:
C:\Users\username\My Documents\Replace\main

File Size:
445438 bytes (0x6CBFE)

First, inject a backup of your save file (pre-FTPD) into your UM game, just to make sure it works.  Then, using (a save manager), export your data to your SD card.  Plug in your card to your PC to do edits. Save your work and re-insert your SD card into your 2/3DS. Import your save using (a save manager).

I got the same error before I stopped using FTPD to transfer my USUM saves.  Luckily I made backups.

hey @jasenyoface ive look through all of the thread. I'm unsure of my issue, its quite frustrating. I'm quite tech savvy, but with all of my knowledge, i cannot figure out the problem. Im extremely new to OSX and im having a hard time! Ive attached my log after trying to apply winetricks. I have no idea what is going on. Ive restarted my computer to try and clear out any apps that may be blocking the process but im just not sure!(null)_install.log

After you try to launch it, a button will appear there (where you took the screen cap, in settings) that says something along the lines of "launch anyway" you will have to hit that in order to launch it as PKHeX is from an unidentified developer.

What RobertJSpradlin is correct.

There's also the option to disable Gatekeeper, if you wish.

sudo spctl --master-disable

  Reveal hidden contents

To reverse:

sudo spctl --master-enable

  Reveal hidden contents

My problem is that when I try to launch it nothing happens.

I can't get PKHeX to open either. I'm running the newest version of Mac OSX and I already chose "open anyway" in the Security & Privacy settings after downloading and unzipping it. The App is there, but when I click on it, nothing happens. Not sure what the issue is. I've run older versions of PKHeX on my Mac in the past with no issues. I've also tried downloading and installing it again, but I still can't get it to open.
