ca_la_g Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 i started using the emulator late last week, and man oh man, it feel so nice to go through the game at 400% speed. in fact, as of right now, i haven't seen my DS for 2 days, don't know where it is, and don't care at all. does anyone feel this way?
Endless Eden Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I think this is in the wrong section but anyways.. There are several advantages to using an emulator.using action replay codes is simply copy and past, using pokesav is very fast and i personally think an emulator is much easier to use. The one disadvantage is that there is no event pokemon no battling over wifi and no pal park... I still prefer the emulator though.
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 The emulator feels uncomfortable to me. I prefer the feel of DS Lite.
ca_la_g Posted June 3, 2009 Author Posted June 3, 2009 oh yeah, also, the microsoft 360 controler sure feel better than my DS, i dropped my DS twice plating with the touch screen
wraith89 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 This is the wrong section. I believe this goes in... um, where would this go? Off Topic? Sure As for me... I prefer the actual one... although emulators allow you to mess with a lot of settings and allow you to mess with the game a lot more than the actual handheld will ever allow you to.
Endless Eden Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 The fellow above you wraith moved it already he is a moderator and has that ability.
NTR-AAQE-USA Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I like playing on the "real thing". I use the emulator only for screenshots.
kuoleva Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I dislike emulators. They just feel so... Unnatural. They're fun to mess around with, to glitch the crap out of games without ruining your cartridge, but that's about it.
bear831 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I agree even if I have only used one once it was awkward to control compared to my ds.
Kaarosu Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I actually like both, thank god for flashcarts. Anyways when I'm on the go I enjoy the handheld when I use the emulator to continue/start a new game. But I use a gamepad as a controller so it doesn't feel awkward (keyboards ftl)
HottSushiz Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 .using action replay codes is simply copy and past You should see how simple getting AR Codes, or bundles in a Flash Cart. and yeah, like some that have posted above, it doesn't feel natural, and using the mouse as a touch screen? feels even more awkward.
damio Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Handheld. The only real reason I have the emulator on my computer is to make AR codes and screenshots.
Kuro Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Anyone mind Pming me a tutorial on getting Pokemon Platinum Emulator and working it or just where to download it and w/e description you know? I'd search around but it's 5:52 a.m atm so I might as well ask others so I can actually sleep
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Hmm, now I just got a wired 360 controller and it feels great... I'm kind of confused to which is better since they both feel awesome to use.
xeomyr Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 now that i have my own DS ... i prefer using the real "DS" to play games ... although i still use emulator to unlock some GBA-slot secret stuffs
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Hm, I'm still gonna go for the DS. The emulator feels good with my 360 controller, but still, it's not the same.
evandixon Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I havent found a good emulator. Either the graphics are buggy, or there is no sound.
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Hmm, I find the emulator to feel pretty choppy, even when it's at good speed, but I'm gonna have to stick with the natural feel of a DS Lite.
KazoWAR Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I use my DS to play the games, and I use emulators if I make any videos.
Steve Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Hmm... I'd rather stick with the DS, when I can actually afford to buy the game. But recently I've started using an emulator a lot. You can get through games much more quickly using it, since you can speed it up.
Orcamania5 Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I like handheld games instead of emulators. I don't like emulators although they are fast because there is no Wi-Fi sections. I liked my DS Lite hence I bought DSi.
xeomyr Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I don't like emulators although they are fast in fact, several games cannot be played in emulators and some of them still lagging/error if you play it ,so why do you mention that emulators is fast?? and also ... NDS' emulators is not as perfect as GBA's emulator ... so don't hope that it will surpass the handheld itself :bidoof: anyway i also bought DSi because of wifi .. but right now ... i don't think that that is the only benefit from getting my DSi .. coz' i realized that i also need DSiWare :bidoof:
damio Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 in fact, several games cannot be played in emulators and some of them still lagging/error if you play it ,so why do you mention that emulators is fast?? Emulators are fast because you can get them to 1000% speed (yes, 1000% not 100%)
