hey guys this is the pokemon Girantina whit the??? item

1.set the pokemon file on mystery gift(platinum version)

2.send it to the game pearl ore diamond

3.go to market and get the Giratina and it is holding the ??? item

and then set it into your BAG and then you see a BIG ?

ps.you need 2 DS AND 2 POKEMON GAME FOR SURE POKEMON PLATINUM

AND YOU CAN choose diamond ore pearl to send the pokemon to.:grog:

The Platinum Orb? Of course that's going to register as a big "?" in Diamond and Pearl. That item was non existent until Platinum. Are you POSITIVE it'll register properly?

I actually doubt that the Griseous orb will work.

Each item, even placeholders (with the no symbol or ? symbol)

Has an ID no.

If gamefreak wanted to introduce the Curse Type Arceus (lets call it CTA),

They will have to give an ITEM to it right (or till a lesser extent, activation using a key item).

So giving Griseous orb won't do, as it already "exists"

Placeholders is literally what it means; Something to take up the empty slot.

Similar to missingno. and the glitch series in the 1st generation.

What I'm trying to say is,

It has to be an unused slot (most likely placeholder slots),

Incase Gamefreak wants to introduce CTA (and new items).

They can't have two items with the same ID,

The game will crash (or to the minimum, can't register data or something).

Reading how they activate CTA off the script will be more helpful.

If by using hex editor we can change the offset for the sprite to activate CTA,

Means it is programmed, just that have to find the item that corresponds to the sprite offset

or something like that I believe.

If we can't do that,

We can go by trial an error:

Shows us that there is a mathematical relation,

So the number is possibly the Id numbers,

So it may be close,

But the most definite thing is.

We need a compilation of ID numbers for EXISTING items,

Than we find the empty slots.

Than use the number of the empty slots and give it to ARCEUS!

(Basically any ??? item won't do, what we need is the ??? item with the correct ID)

Reasoning 1

I have a rom, and I hacked/have a hacked Arceus, can it be traded to a commerical cart?

Yes you can trade a hacked Arceus between roms and commercial carts, (as long as the rom itself supports trading)

After all roms are backed up from commercial carts.

Note that what which is mentioned above applies as long as you aren't trading a hacked Arceus with the classic ribbon across GTS,

As I was told that trading pokemon with classic ribbon on GTS won't work.

Reasoning 2

I have an Arceus from a Rom hack, can I trade it to commercial cart?

I believe that trading is possible,

But if the rom hack had abilities/items/skills not existing in the commercial cart,

It may by glitchy.

As following up and linking to this thread,

Even if you have a Cursed Arceus from the rom hack

(for example, if I'm not wrong, like Fenzo's edition where he obtained a ??? plate and made it ??? in not just sprite, but in type as well)

It may have been modification of existing data

(such as changing the Meadow plate to ??? plate, and changing Grass type to ??? type),

When you trade over to the commerical cart,

It will be in its original form which was modified to look/seem different in the Rom hack.

Those are the two reasonings that I can remember right now

Given that HGSS has a new plate,

It will almost be definitely a Curse plate,

We can just use it on arceus there right, no point mystery gift back

Anyhow,

Our current problem is we don't know what the item no. is the sprite binded to.

according to the image dex there an ow sprite for ??? arceus so theres got to be a battle sprite for it two

the first one sounds the best but i was trying to say is

if you guys/girls find out how to make a ??? type Arceus into a rom

and that rom (with the hacked Arceus) is on my Acekard 2i

can the Arceus successful be transfered from Acekard 2i to the store bought platnium

note: Acekard 2i is like the R4 basically and it supports multiplayer/wifi just like any regaler store bought game...

Also if you need help with getting items i'll be willing to help i can transfer my game bought platinum to my acekard 2i D/P/P and visa versa... got 995 of every item but i think every body dose too so...

what i can do is get from ds store bought game to acekard 2i to laptop and visa versa

laptop/acekard 2i as in .rom file

Oh. As long as the ??? arceus is on an clean unhacked rom, it can be traded over.

(unless it requires an item which pops right off when attempting to trade, than that will be an issue)

Ok, i have had a look through the item list, and i cant find anything out of the ordinary (apart from a few unused key items).

This means that Game Freak simply stuck the code for curse arceus in to prevent the game from crashing, since the ??? type move is basicly another move type.

The only way i see curse arceus seeing the light of day, is to take another plate, and modify it (action replay or not) to be the ??? type.

for example, you take the spooky plate, and change its code to use the ??? typing.

I cant exactly test this at the moment, i need to brush up my action replay code skills first.

It might do, since the code for ??? arceus probably isnt tested for use within battles.

so the game may crash if a pokemon hits ??? arceus, since the game probably dosnt know what ???'s weakness/resistances.

again, another speculation.

What do pokeballs have to do with the Plates anyway?

The Shaymin flower wont work because you will have to add loads of code to arceus for that to work.

He's banned anyway, so there really isnt much point in me complaing anymore.

We really need one of those Disassembiles of the game (Doubt its ever going to happen though)

No matter whatever in-summary sprite it is,

It will be Normal type (in-battle and overworld sprite).
