If that's the case, then they manually put different Mews into each cartridge, because according to Twig's post, every Mew is unique.

Since they are all unique, they have to follow a certain method of creation, namely the Common GBA Restricted method of PID creation (BACD).

What'd be cool to know is the order of the PIDs (since we can reverse the PIDIV to get the seed that created them) so that we can see if an order of creation did exist. Maybe Nintendo had a hidden dev mode rom that can inject pkms, and then they cloned the save onto carts that aren't dev roms.

PIDIVs for a whole box or even just 6 in a row would rock.

Bond697 asked me to look into this as well. I should have screenshots up either tonight or tomorrow night depening on when I get home.

Rows 1+2 from a box of the Mystry Mew save file: The PID/Nature, and the Seed that generated them (BACD method)

1-6, 7-12. Half are CGR, half are CGU.

Anyone find a pattern for the seeds?

Sorry, I am a little confused...

So each cartridge that was used during the event had COMPLETELY unique mews? If every cartridge has UNIQUE mews, and there were thousands of cartridges used throughout this tour, then that means they had to of used a machine to load them all.

Or is each cartridge "set" the same?

Also Kaphotics, take the seed and go back 3 or 4 times with it, just to make sure there is no pattern.

Twig, or Kaphotics, I would love to see a list of ALL of the mews and their PIDs/IVs. I can run a program through it to find patterns... like I did with shiny zigs.

Yes, each mew is unique. The game save has the same OT/ID for each cart, but unique Mews in the PC boxes. This would mean that the game save was cloned, but that a program was used to generate unique Mews in each cart.

Which confirms that HADOU Mew(s) cannot be shiny. Go figure.

Good work guys.

We've been trying to say that all along, but this finally puts the nail in the coffin. The Shiny Hadou mew I put out was a troll, just like DGee's Jeremy Staryu.

What we think happened is that the Mews were generated on a Developer Cart (rom) and the save was cloned over to other retail cartridges which were used for distribution.

From what I can extrapolate, there are a total of roughly 340 RNG calls. I theorize 5 calls to create each of the 6 party Pokemon, with 4 calls for the first boxed pokemon. Each box pokemon after that are generated in lots of 5 with a total of 20 RNG calls up until the last pokemon.

The question now is, when the seed resets... how is that determined? Also if you think about it, if you are generating 1 pokemon, it will ALWAYS be GCR... get my drift? The GCU comes from generating MORE than 1 pokemon in the same lot.

This also means that ALL GCU pokes distributed in this manner can be checked for an "original" seed based on how many were generated at once.

I have updated this information, you can find it here:

http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?13748-New-Event-Checks-for-next-version-of-Legality-Checker!

And again, those of you interested in following my work, look at the screenshots above and you can easily make some determinations from legit pokes found from all of these classes. If anyone has any new/interesting information, please do share!

If anyone can get a hold of someone who purchased or traded for a shiny mystry mew, please send it to me so I can check for an origination seed, BEFORE legality checker comes out and people reverse it to create their own.

i thought no one will offer shiny MYSTRY mew since many people know it is impossible. unless gotten from gts.

i shall try to ask for one. but it may most likely be pokesav or something.

found it. it has invalid thrash bytes though. and unknown GBA type.

Here is a list of restricted seeds that should lead to a shiny mew:

In the Pokécheck database I have found the following restricted seeds on legal mystry mews:

9d9c

6065

20bf

efc8

e95d

5e2b

34f3

20bf

None of these appear in the shiny ones. If twig or Sabresite could have a look in their distribution saves to see if one of the shiny seeds appear on any mew, we could be able to confirm that this distribution (and probably similar others) cannot be shiny (either the program that made the mews into the save file skipped the shiny ones, or they were manually released after they were made)

So why isn't the save file being shared? :S are we sure the save isn't just BS? I mean, really I could download every Mew I can find on this site and others that is from that event, chuck them into a file and put it on the cartridge. Screenshots of the game prove nothing, what colour is the cart? When I received an event Pokemon from Gamestation, the cart was black and security sealed into the GBA SP they were using to distribute it. Just seems phony to me.

It's not.

The people who needed to see this have seen it.

XFR's post seems to indicate a shiny MSTRY Mew could have been legal?

Which GBA event are you speaking of that had a black distribution cart?
