Finally the Japan-exclusive WiiWare Pokémon Mystery Dungeon titles, the Adventure Squad series, have been translated! Patches for each game have been released after months and months of hard work from fans of the series. The team has also worked with the Wiimmfi and RiiConnect24 teams in order to restore the event Pokémon that were distributed for this game. Other features of the translation include:
-Pokémon nickname limit expanded to 10 characters (Japanese 5)
-Buddy Passwords fully functional. These can now be found by hitting the Wii Home button, then pressing the "Operations Guide" button.
-Pre-patched with Wiimmfi and RiiConnect24 for ease of event access. Friend Rescues do not work currently, but are being looked into.
-Item icons and many descriptions ported from Super Mystery Dungeon
-Dummied/beta items ported from Explorers of Sky have been restored. Inaccessible in-game, can be accessed with cheats.
-It's in English now, which is cool.

Typo fixes (Why did TPC have to spell Qwilfish with a "W"? Making me look bad!)

New Feature: From party menu, there is now a new Change Nickname option. If you previously played the game in Japanese, you can use this to correct your names. Or you can change them at any time. Enjoy!

Included is a separate pack for updating from the previous version. If you've already patched your Wad with the translation, but want to update to the latest version, please use this. If you've previously changed the region of your WADs, please change them back to JP before applying this.

Also included now is a .txt file with the Buddy Passwords since some found the Operations Guide difficult to read. (The image resolution didn't give us much space to work with!)

None of the patches seem to be working for me, all are saying it's for the wrong game.

Edit: Found one a version of the game that patched, it's working great now.

Its great to see the game finally get some sort of accessible way to play for us outside of Japan, I've been experiencing issues trying to get the wiiconnect24 events to work, literally since release, and as I'm currently going for all recruits, its getting kind of troublesome. No matter what I try I just don't get the letters on my message board, and would really like some clarification as to how these events actually work and when the letter actually should appear on the message board. I feel like the ideal solution would've been to just have all of those mons available as Wonder Mail W missions, but I completely get the point of this was to keep the game as 1:1 as possible.

When i used mutlipatch on macOS to patchthe rom it didn’t work in dolphin and I selected the right patch for the right version i can try it on windows if needed

Awesome :D Wich type of software did you use for this translation ? Maybe I can do a French translation if you give me the permission ^^

Was very excited to download and try this but no matter what I try flips says the file is not for the rom I tried applying the patch creating it, everytime it said it wasn't correct and wouldn't work. Hope there is an update as I love the pokemon mystery dungeon series :(

Did you try the included header patch first? Please read the readme. I can't really point you to ROMs, but the readme has info about this.

do i need some kind of emulator to play this? like Dolphin?

It can be played via Dolphin or homebrewed Wiis.

These are wonderfully done patches! I thank all the developers for creating this. Because of this patch, I can play a game I've wanted to play since it came out in 2009. I only wish these games released in the US. These could've made money, so other than translating the game, I don't see what stopped Chunsoft/GameFreak from releasing it in the US.
