Well, it's exactly like that. There's only PID, Moves, Species, HeldItem, Level and EVs (not per stat, only one value that's applied to each stat). PKHeX already has the data structure, it's just missing a GUI.

So... is there really no way to read this data at all? There was another thread posted here that asked the same question and someone said that some of the data could be there, and I know someone else managed to get the data of a pokemon through hall of fame records so it must be possible. Unless secret bases are just that one thing that hold basically nothing of the originals aside from the basics for battling the secret base trainer...

Please re-read the first post. This is an English-speaking forum, and this thread is for only reporting false positives with Pokémon you've obtained legitimately, not those you've created. Since you are new, it is more likely that you are not generating things correctly, and that PKHeX is not wrong with its assessment. Use the encounter database to get a starting point for an encounter.

You can use trade bots to dump and trade you back modified files, but it's inadvisable to modify immutable values. Best is to hope that future games allow clearing/setting of all nicknames.

Edit: misread and didn't read the custom firmware part, sadly the console i have access to is vanilla so i guess no fixing things for me.

You need custom firmware to dump and import save files. Once you have your save, then you can try using PKHeX.

Recently came across Pkhex as a possible way to fix nicknames of home-origin mons. I have the original color magearna, problem is, the nickname it currently has, and unfortunate memories to that nickname, I've been meaning to use pkhex to fix that, however, i have no access to an emulator or rom. I've tried copying my save file from the switch SD card onto my pc, i'm not sure if i've done it right, i've got the file, but pkhex says it's too large, and if i'd manage to get it into the threshold, would i have to get it back to the original size it was originally in? If anyone has sources to help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate being directed towards them. I'm quite attached to the magearna, it took me a lot of work to get it, and i simply want to fix it's nickname, to reflect it's ribbon and title ("the cherished") to something more befitting

Yea, take a look for yourself. Just rename those files to wc9 and drag into PKHeX. If they are a Pokémon gift, they’ll load just fine. and as for why some of them aren’t there, not all gifts are permanently in the BCAT. Once the event expires, the team that manages BCAT may choose to remove them. And IIRC your device’s BCAT tends to sync with the server whenever you’re idle in your HOME screen connected to the network, or when you grab a new network gift, so your old archives would have been gone.
