  2. I’ve been browsing the creative section here for a while and always love seeing the incredible fan art, custom sprites, and Fakemon designs people come up with. It takes so much effort to design a good sprite sheet or concept piece from scratch. Recently, I've been looking into ways to bring some of these static pieces to life without having to do grueling frame-by-frame animation, especially since I'm not a professional animator by any stretch. I started playing around with different generation tools to see if they could handle pixel art or stylized anime illustrations well. A lot of platforms struggle with keeping the specific Pokemon style intact, but I did find a useful text/image to video ai free resource that has been surprisingly fun to experiment with for this specific creative workflow. Basically, you can upload your static Fakemon drawing or custom trainer art, and it acts as an image to ai video processor, adding subtle idle animations, environmental weather effects, or even attack motions depending on the prompts you use. I've been utilizing it mostly as a free image to video ai just to see how my static concepts look in motion before committing to manual sprite work for any fan projects. It also functions nicely as a text to video generator if you just want to conceptualize a background scene—like imagining a new route or a legendary encounter—by typing out a description. Has anyone else here tried incorporating similar workflows for their fan games, hack intros, or art showcases? I'd love to see if there are better techniques for getting smooth animations out of static 2D Pokemon art, or if the community generally prefers sticking strictly to traditional frame-by-frame pixel art. Let me know what your creative process looks like these days!
  3. Hi everyone! I've been lurking on Project Pokemon for a while, mostly reading up on save editing and Gen 5 mechanics, and finally decided to create an account. It's awesome to see such a dedicated community keeping these classic games alive and constantly discovering new things about them. Outside of gaming, my background is mostly in web development and tech. Lately, I've been really into experimenting with different ways to create custom sprites, trainer art, and fan concepts. I actually work on some web tools in this space. If any of you are ever looking to transform your rough Pokemon sketches or concept art into different art styles, I’ve been heavily involved with an Image to Image AI project. It works quite well as an ai image editor for this kind of creative workflow. It's essentially a photo to photo ai setup where you can upload a base doodle or image and tweak it. I’ve found it super fun for reimagining old Pokemon designs, generating ideas for regional variants, or just playing around with fakemon concepts without needing advanced digital painting skills. If you're into making custom assets for your hacks or just love fan art, it might be a handy ai image creator to have in your toolkit. Anyway, I mostly wanted to introduce myself properly before jumping into the discussions. I'm looking forward to diving deeper into the ROM hacking scene here, learning from the tutorials, and seeing what everyone is working on. What are your favorite generations to mod or play right now? Thanks for having me!

  5. tried but still doesn't work the others stay at 70 and won't drop to 65 only Lunala's level will change even if I copy it to another box
  6. Hi, I'm new to ROMs and Rom hacking (like, I've literally never done it before AT ALL) and I've been having trouble getting my game to work after I patched it. It's suddenly much smaller and every time I try to open it it doesn't work and I don't know enough to even have a guess as to what's going on. My og .nds file was about 93.1 MB in size but now it's 635 bytes and I don't know if that's what's supposed to happen after applying a patch. Could someone explain what I've got to do (or what I might have done wrong) so I can finally play the game? (Also, I run a Ubuntu, if that means anything.)
  7. What if you change the current level and met level to 70? im assuming the tool mistakenly made them 65.

  9. Hello everyone. I recently got the update 1.0.1 for Pokémon Rojo Fuego and Pokémon Verde Hoja (the Spanish versions of the games). I tried to search for information about what the update holds, but it seems like barely nobody is talking about this. Only information I got is the Enlish version is not getting updated and the German and French versions are getting updated too. Does someone know what changed with the update?
  10. Hi everyone, I've spent countless hours trying to fix my Leaf Green run but haven't found a working solution yet. I got my RG353V and started a Leaf Green playthrough straight out of the box (The only tweak I've done was moved everything to a trusted SD card). At the time I wasn't aware of the issues with the ROM that comes with the console but got over the SS Anne issue using a walk through walls workaround. Since the ROM itself would crash every time I'd try saving the game I put my trust in the save state function. I pushed through and beat the final four but after beating the rival, the game auto saves and I can't get past it. I've looked at many solutions to this issue and this is what I've tried: Downloading a verified ROM, renaming it to match the broken one and loading the save state - outcome: states load but aren't playable, just a snapshot of where I've saved. Tried using a verified ROM to create a save state, moving it to the SD card and using it to save the game - outcome: game loads where I've saved but I still can't overwrite it with my saved state. Tried taking everything save related and opening it on my PC using mGBA (both the verified and broken ROM) - outcome: Says the save state is corrupt and doesn't load. Checked file sizes as many people advised on the forum, both .srm and .sav are 128 kb, save state is 56 kb though. I haven't been able to get the state to work on my PC at all and wonder if there's anything else I could grab from the SD card to get it working. Could anyone please have a look at this and advise how I can migrate my saved state (.state4 file) to a .sav or .srm file? I've attached the files I've found and if there's anything else you need please let me know. 005 Pokemon Leaf Green.sav 005 Pokemon Leaf Green.srm 005 Pokemon Leaf Green.state4
  11. Hello friends! I hope that you are all having a wonderful day! I am doing my first ever playthrough of Super Mystery Dungeon completely blind. I love the game so far, but have had a major urge to be turned into an Axew the whole playthrough. I grew majorly attached to him after Gates to Infinity and wanted to be him for my playthrough of Super. How difficult would the modding process be past the initial basics? Do you know if specifically for Axew this would cause any issues? He has data for animations in GTI and Portraits for his emotions. Is this something that would be as simple as just inputting him in the preselected options, or would I need to go through more steps for this? If I need to manually add in animations myself, would that be something that I can easily do or would it require much more work? How are Growth Rates decided for the player being turned into a pokemon not on the regular list? Would it use Axew's NPC stats, or would it use stats from GTI? If not, can they be modified if I for example want to shuffle my stats to become a bit more of a tank? And on top of that, can I even remove moves from my move list such as Dual Chop to make it so I do not get tempted to use it haha. And also, would I need to delete my save file if I did all of this? I am only a handful of hours in, so I was not sure if it would be needed or not regardless. Finally, would these changes still work on a regular 3DS? I have the game there and have never tried properly using mods on there haha. I apologise for all of the probably basic questions. To anybody reading this, thank you ever so much!

  14. Hmm that sounds like a bug to fix. And as for the gender, you're totally right, and the first to notice that it's totally missing. I'll upload a better version once a more substantial amount of these things or issues have been noticed/gathered.
  15. Maybe I'm just blind but is there a nature edit option?
  16. The tool has excellent potential, but when selecting natures and EVs, the editor refused to apply those natures I selected Modest Venusaur Max HP Max Sp.Attack but it gave me Naive Max HP Max Speed?? Also, and this is by no means a big deal, why is there no option to select a gender?
  17. Is Mimikyu a playable Pokémon? I ask because it appears in the Skytemple starter player tab, but not in the selection area when playing the game .
  18. 1. You can add your own starter choices through SkyTemple as of this version. 2. My understanding is that there's still a hard cap on pokemon count and she's already run up against it, so probably not
  19. i was wondering what kind of updates you will add to this (i hope for more starters~ for another playthrough) and once we get gen ten and pmd sprite repository adds the gen 10 pokemon to its site will you add them to this?
  20. Hi all! I wanted to share a working follow-up to this thread: a Flipper Zero app that sends Mystery Gift to real Gen II cartridges over IR using a custom GPIO board. It acts as the master/sender: link up from the Mystery Gift screen (A-press or idle detection both work) Pick any of the 37 giftable items on the Flipper (Berry → Rare Candy → Mails), set trainer name, set or randomize the trainer ID per send (sidesteps the one-gift-per-partner-per-day check while testing) Region is auto-detected: since the master receives the cart's region code before ever sending one, the app just echoes it back. Only tested on french cartridge atm Auto-retries failed exchanges (they happen, as the OP noted), and writes a microsecond-resolution trace of every exchange to the SD card so that it's easier to debug. The Flipper's built-in IR is useless here (its receiver is a 38 kHz demodulator, blind to the GBC's unmodulated light), so this uses the receiver schematic posted in this thread (BPW34 → MCP6002 TIA 51k‖120pF → comparator → BC337) plus an IR LED, on two GPIO pins with 5 V from the Flipper's OTG rail. Built mine on protoboard. Big thanks to OP for the protocol RE, the schematic, and the reference implementation — this thread did the hard part. Happy to share the source / put it on GitHub if there's interest, and curious whether anyone can test against Gold/Silver or other regions but that means having to build the GPIO board yourslef!
  21. I need help with the hidden trainer on a mewtwo on my pokemon y save file. Despite it having my actual OT, TID and SID and the actual real location that you could catch it in it still adds the Handling trainer. It just tells me the following once I remove the specific Handling Trainer “Invalid: GeoLocation Memory: HT Name present but has no previous country.” Man all I want is for the mewtwo to be in my name
  22. I have done all of this on SysCFW while connected to the internet and haven't experienced a ban. I have been using this method since it released.
  23. You'd need to share the exact script you're trying to run. For troubleshooting, it's beneficial to try one line at a time to see your changes stick. Refer to the batch editing guide, and use the current-value indicator to see what value the currently loaded pkm has for a given property.
  24. But even if i use the drop down menu it still ignores every file which is the part that confuses me and which is the reason i need help
  25. Use the drop down menus within the editor. I promise it's not hard to find the properties you are looking to apply.
  26. Thank you very much for your contribution. I’m new to using a modded Switch, so I’d like to confirm a few things. Are all of the steps performed on SysCFW (real system) while connected to the internet? As of now, is your console still able to connect online normally? Also, are there any known cases on the forum where users have been banned for following this method?
  27. I need help with the batch editor and removing the HT on all pokemon in the boxes and only having my personal OT with my TID and SID alongside with the region and subregion of my 3ds
  28. Thank you very much for the quick answer, I was confused since Groudon transfered with no problems
