I'm going to make just one thread so I don't have to keep making new threads each time I make something new. ;P Basically, I made this thread because sometimes I need the opinions of others, need ideas, want to post my creations and may need help/tips.
Note: This is not a request thread. Please do not ask for requests from me.

Rules

2. You may use the images found in "Renders/Recolorations" .
3. You must ask me for permission to use anything else.
4. Please be honest when rating. :)

Style: I prefer a clean, simple style. Although, I do like it explosive and different in my signatures. :D
Favorite Color: Green. :P
Colors Preferred Often: I like using Green, Blue, Teal Turquoise, Navy Blue, Olive Green and vibrant colors.
Programed Used: GIMP.
Currently Using: Photoshop CS5 Extended.
Favorite Brush Type: Fractals and Grunge.

The middle one, the green shade makes it pop, and and it's a lot easier to read, then the others, also the shade of green blends in with the different kinds of blue very well.

Aw yuck, are those tiny little hairs on the Strawberry, i don't think I'm eating them anymore,

Thank you. Yeah, I don't know to be honest. I guess for other people to use. :p I like rendering. It adds more selection to what is available. I think I will do a another awesome Pokemon next.

My first attempt at a smudge sig. This was actually made for SCV's sig. :) I like this one a bit more, but I rate it a 6/10 on my list though.

I like this too, but I think I should've added another layer with something under the "Burned Lines" layer. But I still like it, especially the burned border. I give it a 7/10 though.

wow, these are awesome renders! The Metagross and Scizor are what they should look like! And the sigs are awesome! Now for the comments :P

The totodile sig's background might be better suited for an ice pokemon like Delibird, Walrein or Jynx.

The Lugia sig looks like it's been smudged in some places but not evenly, for example the middle of the neck is smudged more than the areas around it, and there are small areas of the body that are smudged into the background but right next to them it's not. It's a great sig, though ^^

I like the Cyndaquil sig but I see what you mean by it needs more under the "burned lines" layer. I can't quite figure it out, but it's missing that je ne sais quoi.

@NeoDraven: Well, I'm still not that good when it comes to signatures. :d Try checking DeviantArt for brushes or Google them. The new GIMP versions are not capable of using Photoshop brushes too. ;)

Yes sirey. Except for the Arcanine and Jirachi, I stroked the edges with 1px of black at 70% Opacity so that it mimicked the artist's black outlines that he/she used through out the art. ;)

This is easily a favorite for me. I like that you're breaking away from some of the more "cliche" avatar designs. Also nice to see that sprites really can work with non-pixel art graphics.

All that depends on what type of signature you're making. In Greencat's sigs, unlike yours, the focus is much more on the effects rather then the render. In yours, the render plays the main part. Effects include the text.

This gives your signature flow.

I'm still playing around with text effects. I can do pretty good with non-signatures, but not so much with everything else. I don't want my text effects to be the same thing like most signatures--clean and uncomplicated lettering. I saw a text effect from Pory so I may have to try something similar. Haven't seen anyone besides myself and Pory who doesn't do the usual. :P

I've spent some time on GFX boards in the past, and text used to be something difficult for me, as I think it is for most everyone.

In a signature, if you used a render, then your render should be the focal point of the signature.
Often times, people will create their text too large, or off in a corner, and without the right settings and/or effects, it distracts, or takes away from the focal point of the signature.

Text doesn't always have to be the same color, the same size, the same place, or the same font. However, it is all of those things that you should consider when placing your text onto an image.

He did that intentionally. The signature was supposed to be jumbled mess of effects and everything like. It is definitely no where close to his real potential.

Anyway...

Greencat! You're definitely improving. The Lugia avatar is easily one of my favorites as well. Your art is very amazing and definitely stands out in uniqueness.

The pen tool that you used was distracting to me at first, I can tell what it is now, but I didn't see it until I read the poll. I said that it was good because the effects you used are nice. Overall though, I voted that it was OK because that's how I see it.

You're improving a ton. I really favorite the Lugia avatar that looks as though it's flying out of the square.

I voted 10/10, I would've voted 9.8/10 but closest was 10. It just seems weird how if you look very carefully on Drifloon's abdomen you could see some stripes, and also You applied a Drop Shadow for the Square in the Avatar but not one for Drifloon. Overall, it's very good, best one you've done in a while.

Does not describe what I think of it quite clearly. It is a very beautiful fine piece of artwork Greencat. Definitely one of the most unique pieces of work I've seen. It inspires me...a lot. To try it step away from the ordinary.

Very impressive. The lighting is coming from all over the place, but this actually seems to add to the quality! Very nice work!

The effects are cool, but its way too bright. It pulls the render out of focus and makes it almost painful to look at. Theres also very little depth. The effects are quite well done, but as a whole, that was a total miss. =|

9/10 - Like Illithian said, it's too bright in some places. But I don't think it pulls away focus from Dragonair, since Dragonair is in the middle and has a thick outline, it doesn't affect too much. Around the middle, because of the brightness... you could hardly see the effects you used there, I could see the effects from around the edge to before the bright part, and it looks very cool. But you can't really see those in the middle. Also, I wanted to say, that around Dragonair's head, the Cyan colour you put there is too distinct from the other colours, but Overall, it was very good.

I know this is kind of a random question, but have you ever thought of making custom Pokemon sprite? (That caan exceed the color pallet for DS.) This is an example of one I've made recently,
