  1. need some legit looking pokemon I need an Action Replay code This is for Pokemon Platinum SORRY ABOUT ALL THE BLANK FIELDS All the blank fields can be filled with anything as long as it's legit looking and legal. thank you
  2. Hi, everyone, and sorry in advance if I posted in the wrong section or something! Okay, I need you guys's help with something. Maybe this will be a bit of a tl;dr thread, but please don't go away! I just downloaded PokeSav and decided to try it out. Since this was my first try, I decided to follow a Tutorial on how to use PokeSav I found on YouTube; in fact, I watched two different videos, but there was no difference between them on the following of the steps. Just as a reference, these are the videos I watched: As a test, I simply edited one party Pokemon to a Kingdra, and tried to make it as valid as possible; to do that, here's what I filled in: EVs: None. Let's say it was just caught. IVs: I checked "All max" and then modified them, so that only one would be a 31. The others were something around 20, 17, 19, 7 and 8. Same with the stats edit. Location: GTS - Yeah, let's just pretend I got it from someone using Wi-Fi. No problems there, right? ID: ... now it's where things probably got wrong. I assumed this Pokemon's ID should be one different to my own, considering I got it from the GTS, so I just typed in five random numbers. Secret ID: I didn't put anything here. Perhaps it was a mistake... Then again, I wouldn't know what to put. OT: Jon. I don't know why. Let's say I got it from someone named Jon on Wi-Fi. These are all the fields I assume could have messed up my edit. Everything else is okay. To sum it up, "Met at Level" and "Stats Edit - Level" where the same, "Trainer Gender" was male (even though my trainer is a female: I assumed this is related to the OT), "Poke ball caught with" was an Ultra Ball, "Ability" was Swift Swim, moves were Aurora Beam, Signal Beam, Brine and Rain Dance (PPs correctly inserted), "Date Met" I just put year 2009, "Friendship" 0, "Atribute" Mild/Class Second/Gender Female/Shiny checked; and nothing else was modified. I'm sorry I can't attach the AR code I got. Okay, so, since my AR Code Manager doesn't seem to detect my AR DS for nothing, I have to manually insert all those numbers into my AR as a new code. It took me a lot of time, believe me. I own a copy of Diamond, by the way, and I made sure to type the correct code. I press L+R to activate the code, and when I check out my Pokemon... I see a Bad Egg in the first slot. The funny thing is, it says "Egg obtained in GTS", and "Item: Leftovers". Please, help? I don't know what I did wrong. Also, let me know if I missed any information I should provide you! Thanks a lot in advance!
  3. MewtwoEx and I were discussing about a great member in the site. He always helped out so we decided to make a thread dedicated to him. We want to know what everyone here thinks of SCV. What do you like the most about him? Has he ever done something for you, whether it be answering a question, teaching you about something, or just being an all around nice person to you. And just to be clear, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all We got Narwhal to make SCV a ribbon for being Project Pokemon's Valued Member, though this is all strictly me and Mewtwo's opinion. We hope you like it SCV, and I hope you know that a lot of people on this site appreciate all the good you've done for us
  4. So, I've heard a lot of talk going around about how people think Hoenn was the worst of the region. And it seems like for every two comments of someone talking about how great Johto is, there's one comment for how lame Hoenn was. I really think Hoenn had some great places, but I think the real reason people didn't like it was it's regional pokedex. Hoenn was the first region to have a regional pokedex that didn't include all currently known pokemon. As a result, a LOT of the generation I and II Pokemon were simply cut out. There wasn't even a way to obtain them after beating the Elite 4 until Colosseum and FRLG came out. And I think that's what turned people off to Hoenn. On the flip side, think about the great music the RSE games had! And think about all of the cool locales! Mt. Pyre based on Sakurajima, Sootopolis City inside the volcano, Shoal cave with the changing tide, Mossdeep the coastal town with the Space Center, Lavaridge town with the hot spring, ALL of the volcano routes (the ones inside, the ones with the ash raining down), the desert route, Pacifidlog Town floating on the water like some kind of island bungalow, Fortree city up in the trees, ALL of the routes leading up to Fortree )with the tall grass, rain, wood bridges over waterfalls and rivers), the weather institute, and the above-ground secret bases that could be all over the place (those were seriously fun if you mixed records and went to search for your friends's bases). There really is a large variety of places, and many of them were really aesthetically pleasing. I think a lot of people were turned off by the amount of surfing in large, open, and long routes that took place in this game. It did get to be a little bit tedious and repetitive at times, but I really enjoyed the diving aspects of it. It really added depth (pun) to the game, and it was a unique way to get around. I really liked the fact that you had to dive underwater in order to get into Sootopolis City. All in all, I consider Hoenn to be really enjoyable and probably my favorite region (definitely better than Sinnoh). Anyone else out there that appreciates Hoenn? Or does everyone hate it?
  5. The reason it was so successful was due to all the new innovations it introduced The following is taken from IGN http://ds.ign.com/articles/980/980866p1.html Color The colors, Duke, the colors! Yeah yeah, big deal, right kids? But for those of us who played Pokemon when it only had two colors – olive green and puke – getting to see an actual yellow Pikachu was a big freaking deal. As simple as it was, the Game Boy Color made the world of Johto come alive. Luckily for late adopters (and my little brother) the games worked on the greyscale Game Boy too. Clock and Calendar Gold and Silver were the first games in the series to make use of the time and date to change gameplay. The game world was in real time, and the sun rose and set according to the time. Certain Pokemon were only obtainable at certain times of the day. In addition to making the game more realistic, Nintendo managed to ensure that kids would play Pokemon at all hours of the day. Sleep is for the weak. You'll never catch 'em all that way. Breeding The mystery of where new Pokemon came from was finally answered in Gold and Silver. They need to be shoved into a room together and they like it when and old man watches. The details were always thankfully kept vague, since the very idea of a Ditto being able to mate with any Pokemon because it can transform into a clone is disturbing. These days Breeding is one of the most important parts of developing the perfect team and it started with Gold and Silver. Fathers could pass down TM and other moves, giving egg Pokemon an advantage right out of the shell. This also gave us Pokemon eggs, and subsequently baby Pokemon. And while baby Pokemon are pretty much the worst thing ever (you heard me Togepi!) some people seem to like them. Pokemon director Junichi Masuda loves Pichu, so it's probably his fault. PokeGear PokeGear as a whole was pretty useful, but for me it was the cellphone that sealed the deal. Remember in Red and Blue when you needed money for all those Proteins and Irons, so you did multiple run throughs of the Elite Four with your team of Meowths that all knew Pay Day? What a pain in the Grass-type. But then the cellphone comes along and opens up the option to rebattle trainers who actually leveled up their Pokemon since the last time. Nowadays this feature is still used and greatly expanded on, but when it first appeared it was pretty slick. Special Balls Diamond/Pearl/Platinum has a hojillion different Poke Balls to be used in any sort of situation, essentially turning the game into an even more complicated form of digital fishing. Back in my day we only had three types of balls, and a master ball. We didn't care what turn it was, whether we were in a cave, or whether or not we had caught this Pokemon before. A ball was a ball. Then Gold/Silver came along and added in the Lure Ball and Friend Ball. In addition to setting in motion an ever growing arsenal of new balls, this system is also the precursor to Berries. Players had to collect Apricorns to fashion into the special Poke Balls. Held Items A simple helping of leftovers can change the outcome of a battle, and Gold/Silver was the first game to introduce the concept of Pokemon holding their own items. Mostly it was used to transfer items to other players, since item trading was not a feature, but there were battle and evolutionary benefits as well. It also added an extra benefit to the cloning glitch in the game, since Master Balls and Rare Candies could be held. So now with some patience and a few dozen hours you could have all the Master Balls you wanted. Branching Evolution Besides the Evees, Red/Blue offered a pretty linear approach to evolution. Gold/Silver took that and shook things up. Previous generation Pokemon now had new versions that they could evolve into, given the right circumstances. Shiny Pokemon As everyone knows, anyone who has a shiny Pokemon obviously cheated. Sure there's like a 1 in 8200 chance that one appears in the wild, but besides the Red Gyrados nobody ever seemed to have a legit one. Gold/Silver was the first game that inspired kids to use Gamesharks just to get Pokemon that were a slightly different color. Pokerus So before the whole Individual Values and Effort Value aspect came into play, the Pokerus just doubled the amount of experience that Pokemon received in battle. Am I the only one that is a little suspicious that a Pokemon related disease pops up immediately after we start letting these critters breed? Thankfully the Pokerus is a good kind of disease, like the Pokemumps. Steel and Dark Types Introduced as a way to balance out the elements, Steel and Dark opened up the game to have some more Pokemon that were cool and evil. Some of the coolest Steel and Dark types were introduced in Gold/Silver. Scizor, Steelix, Murkrow, Sneasel, Houndoom, Mukrow… all awesome. The new types made the game a little more strategic, and also opened up another batch of Pokemon for the villains to use, though it's a bummer that all those Dark types got all racially profiled like that. Not cool. Kanto One of the coolest aspects of Gold/Silver was that after you worked your way through Johto, collected the badges and built a wicked team, you got to go to Kanto, and check out the world of Red/Blue. And instead of making it a clone of the previous game, a lot of the world is different. Cinnabar Island is pretty much gone thanks to a volcanic eruption. There's a new train line that runs through the area. Oh and Red is now a recluse hiding in a cave waiting to murder you with his Level 81 Pikachu. And Blue is a gym leader. It's madness.
  6. Well as readers should know I love the pokemon drifloon. Maybe now I have inspired you and you want to catch one now, but you just dont know where. Well your quest for that is over for I am going to tell you here. Or on the other hand you might not know why I love drifloon and why every trainer should have it. Well I'm going to tell you that too. Ok well for starters Drifloon can only be caught on a friday. I know you might be thinking this... Oh Darn! It is monday I dont want to wait that long Well there is good news you dont have to. Just change the date on your DS. However, this only works once per day the changing thing so dont do it multiple times, I've tried it just doesnt work like that. Now where you catch it is in the valley windworks depending on the game its level should range from 15-22. It will be floating right outside the main building it should be pretty obvious. Go up to it, talk to it, it will say Floon!, then the battle will begin. Dont kill it be very cautious. However, be careful too it is a pretty tough pokemon and could take you down. Atleast that is what happened at a 22. I used a master ball eventually because I have the 999 masterball cheat. I'm going to tell the rest later I have to go now! Alright, now for the rest. I think that drifloon is awesome because... It can learn the move hypnosis It is adorable It can learn stockpile, spit up, and swallow It can learn dream eater So many good moves like these, ominous wind and shadow ball Fantina from the show has a drifloon Its a tiny cute balloon so adorable so balloony and floaty Yeah that would be all I really like drifloon I hope you do too

    ohi

I'm new here. ...What? I have to say more? I'm your typical teenage guy. I like Science Fiction movies- one of my most favorites ones is the Godzilla movies. I like old movies that used that awesome stop motion effect- mostly Ray Harryhausen's works. I like how he does stop motion. I'm also into video games, of course. I own a Gamecube, N64, Wii, DS, PS2, PS3, and a Gameboy SP. My favorite handheld is the DS with the console being the PS3. I'm currently into playing Bioshock 2 and Pokemon Crystal. I enjoy comic books, too! I don't own a ton (Only 4- my love for them was only just found) but they're a lot more fun then some books, not that they're bad. And lastly, I love drawing. I'm told I'm very good at it. Heck, if you want PM me for my deviantart or something. And, uh. That's it. I'm too shy to make friends myself so if anyone wants to talk or something, that PM button on my profile likes clicks.
  8. The title says it all, post a video you think is funny and spread the gift of laughter. Pokemon related or not, all are welcome. Here is one I think is funny ! Let's see yours
  9. Hey everyone, I'm new to hacking, and by new, I mean I have absolutely no idea what the hell I'm doing. All I know is that I have an idea for a hack, and it's REALLY awesome. However, I have run into several setbacks so far, primarily, I have absolutely no clue what anything is. I already have an emulator and a White version ROM, but I don't know how to edit it. So, what tools should I use for this? I need a tools for changing trainer sprites, overworld sprites, dialogue, evolution methods, adding Pokemon, editing the mart, and anything you can think of that I missed. So, if any of you could give me some advice on tools and how to use them, I'd really appreciate it, and I plan to keep you all updated on hack progress once I begin!
