1. Most people who use Ubers in Wifi don't even EV their Ubers properly... nor can they breed them for perfect IVs/Natures/etc. Use that to your advantage I also bolded some statements above where you will need to pay attention to... keep that in mind and you will play legitimately.

 4. I'm not sure what you are implying, but I'll go ahead by explaining how a Pokemon's stats are determined. A Pokemon's stat is determined by a variety of things... namely BASE STATS, IVs, EVs and nature. Let's take a look. So let's say you wanted to train a Lucario (just picking that Pokemon for your namesake). These are Lucario's base stats: 70 HP 110 Attack 70 Defense 115 Special Attack 70 Special Defense 90 Speed I'm only posting the stats out of my mind, so I can be wrong here... but just for the sake of explanation, we'll get through this. For now, we will assume neutral nature for this Pokemon. With those base stats, Lucario can reach a maximum of the following with 31 IVs in each stats and 252 EVs in each: 70 HP = 344 HP 110 Attack = 319 Attack 70 Defense = 239 Defense 115 Special Attack = 329 Special Attack 70 Special Defense = 239 Special Defense 90 Speed = 279 Speed Remember this is assuming neutral nature, 31 IVs in each stats, and 252-255 EVs in each stats (however, having 255 in EVERY stats is impossible without cheating, but we'll get to that later). But how did I figure that out? Okay, just remember that a base 100 Stat in something with NEUTRAL nature, 31 IVs and 252-255 EVs in it is 299. Each base stat is equal to 2 absolute stat points, so something with 101 base stat in a field would have with the condition listed above 301 stat, while something with base 99 base stat would have in that field 297 stat. These are for Attack/Defense/Special Attack/Special Defense/Speed stats. HP stat works differently. Just remember base stat HP of 100 will have a maximum of 404 HP (with 31 IVs and 252-255 EVs)... and count 2 base stat down from that. Every 5 base stat = 10 absolute stat points... is all I'm going to say. Confusing? Yeah I'll bet it is. What are EVs and IVs and nature? EVs are controllable by the trainer while IVs and nature are... not controllable at all by the trainer aside from hacking. Let's get to it... For the IVs, a Pokemon can have a value of 0-31 IVs in each stat. 1 IV is equal to 1 absolute stat point, so having 28 IV in attack will give you 28 extra attack points. IV stands for individual value, and that is why your Lucario looks better than your friend's because yours has 28 IV in Attack while your friend's has only 6... but then again, your friend has 19 IV in speed while yours only has 2 in speed. Anyways, you get the point. IVs are basically randomized on each Pokemon you have and are basically uncontrollable. However, if you breed two Pokemon, the baby will have a few random IVs selected from each parent, which is SOMEWHAT controllable, but the ones chosen are definitely not. EVs? Okay... here's the deal with EVs. For every Pokemon you fight, depending on what you fight, you gain EFFORT VALUES. Every stat can have a maximum of 255 EV points each... while you can have an absolute total of 510 EV points max, meaning it is only possible to "max out" 2 stats, a feature I quite like due to more customization and less stall wars like GSC. Unlike IVs where a single IV becomes one stat point, you need FOUR EVs to make 1 absolute stat point. Because of this, the maximum EV you ever want in a stat is 252, because 252 is divisible by 4 while 255 is not. Since 510 is the absolute max and it is 508 that is divisible by 4, the remaining 2 EVs are always wasted because they do not count at all. Need to know which Pokemon gives which EVs? Stuff like Zubat gives you 1 speed EV while a Geodude gives you 1 Defense EV... a Golbat gives you 2 Speed EV... it is quite complicated so look into another source for that, like here. No difference b/w Gen III and Gen IV EV yields... except for one I know... Chansey and Blissey gave 1 and 2 HP EVs respectively in Gen III, but now thanks to the addition of Happiny, Chansey gives 2 HP EVs and Blissey gives 3 HP EVs. Nature... well, you can see a Pokemon like your Lucario has Lonely Nature or something. If your Lucario is Lonely, it gains 10% more attack power, but 10% less defense. All natures except for Bashful, Docile, Hardy, Quirky, and Serious raises one stat by 10% and another stat is decreased by 10%. So which stat does which? There are many resources online that can tell you which is which. For example, click me. So rare candies do nothing but level up your Pokemon... except the only reason why it is said to make your Pokemon weaker than others is that you're leveling a Pokemon STRAIGHT without EV training it. However, if you EV trained it to its fullest, then you can rare candy all you want without caring about its stats "lowering" or anything since they really are not. Hmmm... I may have to reword all this later because it's more of a stream of consciousness than anything else, so if it is confusing you, sorry
 5. Back in GSC, shininess was dependent on IVs. If your Def/Speed/Special IVs were all 10, and if your Pokemon's Attack IV was either 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14 or 15 (VERY specific don't you think?). Due to this system, it would be impossible to have a shiny female Pokemon that only had 12.5% chance of being so due to the way a Pokemon's sex was determined back in GSC (sorry guys, but no shiny female Charizards for you). Yeah, this is why the red Gyarados you received ALWAYS had 97 HP (HP IV was determined by Attack IV or something I believe) and a set amount of stat. Shininess was determined by IVs... so trading a Pokemon to RBY and back to GSC would not make a Pokemon lose its shininess (unless you screwed something up with Gameshark and messed around with the Pokemon's IV). Since IVs are passed down from parents in breeding, yes... you actually have a higher chance of getting a shiny baby if one of your parents are shiny back in GSC, but starting from Gen III shininess was determined by personality value... so no, IVs do not affect shininess anymore (at least not in the way it did in GSC)... so sorry, breeding a shiny to get a shiny Pokemon baby is now determined by the random number goddess (RNG) >.>

 8. Regice takes Heat Wave from defensive Zapdos (standard) as if it was Rock Smash... offensive Zapdos still can't get past the specially defensive versions as Regice has base 200 SpDef (which is crazy). I ran a Calm Regice with only 8 SpDef investment, which hit 480 I believe and no Zapdos stood in its way. Regice's STAB Ice Beam hurts Zapdos and Resttalk allows it to not be affected by Pressure as much. Regice is an amazing counter to Zapdos and I've been using one as such during my testing period for Regice, but with SR rampant, carrying a Regice is impractical when you already have Tyranitar and Blissey doing the dirty work for you. Nonetheless I like Regice.

 15. I was suggesting Snorlax as a support Pokemon to deal with Raikou/Suicune, two of the biggest threats to Charizard. Once you clear them, you're free to blow Snorlax up and proceed to sweep with Charizard. You still need something to deal with Rhydon though. You may want a bulky water/grasser of your own.
 16. I can see Raikous and Suicunes putting a pain to your team as well. Raikou has Crunch to deal with Gengar/Alakazam/Wobbuffet and STAB Thunderbolt hurts everything else but Blissey. Suicune is... well... almost impossible to get rid of without STAB super effective moves or something that can take its hits and boost itself up (no Calm Mind = saving grace). How about a Snorlax? He is an efficient special wall like Blissey, only it has no Heal Bell but hurts a lot more. Only problem with that is... you may as well be sweeping with Lax than Zard.

 18. Tentacruel isn't even 2HKOd by Earth Power from Heatran either... unless Heatran is spec'd or something. Mine even survives a Specs Alakazam's Psychic, which is worth noting. The best spinners in my opinion are Tentacruel and Forretress for OU. And Donphan isn't too bad... it's just not as great as the other spinners Anyways yeah stuff like Leech Seed, other entry hazards, and binding moves like Wrap/Whirlpool/Fire Spin are all canceled out when using Rapid Spin (I used it with Blastoise in GSC wondering why such a weak move with 20 BP and 40 PP exists... and I would ALWAYS get released from Tangela's Bind, which was when I found out it had an effect other than "the user spins rapidly"). Stealth Rocks are not overcentralizing but as someone pointed out it is a "necessary evil" or else stuff like Zapdos will wreak havoc all over the place. I'm still considering a no-Stealth Rock clause and see how it goes. A long time ago I had some NU battles without Stealth Rocks partly because NU (well, before the infestation of Tauros/Tangrowth/Nidoqueen/Medicham/Articuno/Regice/Entei etc...) were mostly bugs and fires and Delibirds who all hate Stealth Rocks. And it seems that stuff like Focus Sash are a lot more useful... with things having more durability than they normally would. Yeah... a game without Stealth Rocks is a lot different from a game with it, I'll tell you that.
 19.

Interesting. Even I don't get privileges to change my own title color...

 20. Falkner should not be the issue here. I believe no one picks a starter just because it is good against Brock or whatnot, since the major consensus seems to pick Charmander, who is disadvantaged against Brock. Just pick your favorite and train with it and it should not be a problem. That Pidgeotto is still evil though... so you might want to grab a Geodude if your starter isn't too strong.
 21. EVs did exist in GSC. It's just that there is no 510 total EV limit, but 255 EV per stats max. Anyways, Houndoom looks like it might pose a bit of a problem to your team. Your only check is Blissey, but once she is down, Houndoom can hurt your team quite a bit, being immune to Wobbuffet's Mirror Coat and hurting the rest of your team with its STAB Crunch and Fire Blast/Flamethrower. Good thing is, Charizard is faster and can revenge kill it, but if you switch into a Crunch, well... there goes your Belly Drum plan I like the Resting Forretress + Cleric Blissey tactic. It seems nice. The thing about Wobbuffet is... no trapping moves, so more often than not, you might find it a dead weight on your team more than anything. Non-Foresighted physical attacking Ghosts and special attacking Darks like Tyranitar/Houndoom are also nasty threats on it, and you'd be hard pressed to find the right switch in if they ever come in. Aside from that, it looks pretty good.
 22. Only to have a Rotom block the way... allowing Rotom to freely set up or destroy your Forry, who was your only source of getting those rocks away. Sad how most rapid spinners are weak to Rotom >.< Fortunately for Wifi users, Rotom appliances do not work in the wifi room! Hurray! Wait... is that a good thing or a bad thing?
 23. Oh right. Another advantage of Stealth Rocks is its WIDE DISTRIBUTION. Many things are capable of learning Stealth Rocks, while Spikes and the more elusive Toxic Spikes are... well... less distributed.

 25. So other than difficulty, what else has improved? I see the competition hack is out too.
