You need to give more information. if you’re running macOS Catalina it won’t work period. if your running EL Capitan > Mojave might need to allow unsigned apps, extract the app bundle move to ~/Applications/ (your users Applications Folder) And click while holding Option or second click and select “Open” from the menu and giving it permissions to launch

No it doesn’t work on macOS Catalina. - Wineskin-2.6.2 by doh123 is a 32Bit application. - wine is a 32Bit application ive posted this 5 times on the previous page meaning you didn’t even check before asking. if you need PKHeX badly you can l do one of the following; - Purchase CrossOver19 - Use Virtual Machine software to run Windows - Use bootcamp - Downgrade back to macOS Mojave. Or wait for Unofficial Wineskin to publish WineCX19.0.0 along with the required wrapper update that adds basic macOS Catalina support Unofficial Wineskin macOS Catalina issue

@jasenyoface just an fyi, Unofficial Wineskin is getting updated to support wine32on64. WineCX19.0.0 (based on the source of CrossOver19’s wine) is built and functional it supports macOS 10.8>10.15, I’ll post back again once the update is released, the engine won’t be released before the update is complete.

The PKHeX.app isn’t using Winebottler but Wineskin-2.6.2 with an older wine version (Engine) The rundll32.exe issue your experienced is due to using a much older wine version as that issue was already fixed upstream in wine. I haven’t messed with PKHeX too much on Sword and Shield but the current version seems decent overall only a few legality issues I’ve noticed. But I have modified some Pokémon for friends that I traded back to them using my Switch Light (editors on the CFW Switch then traded back to the Switch Light)

Before anyone asks, no that won’t work on macOS Catalina. I can however confirm it will work on CrossOver19 when it’s officially released

@jasenyoface thinking about this, PKHeX if compiled as 64Bit and only using 64Bit API’s could be make to function on macOS Catalina already since wine64 can function on it already. If that’s not possible or undesirable for any reason, then I’d expect to see a macOS Catalina compatible Unofficial Wineskin Engine about a month after CrossOver19 source code gets uploaded. The developer has already indicated they don’t plan on publishing a WineCX release based on CrossOver19 right away out of respect for CodeWeavers. @Up064830 & @kricketot not sure what to tell you since it’s been confirmed to work on macOS Mojave by other users including myself. But I’ve moved over to using Unofficial Wineskin since I prefer having current wine releases not stuck at Wine-2.22 and Wine-Staging-2.21 when the current release is Wine-4.19 and Wine-Staging-4.19

macOS Catalina has no 32Bit support, meaning no wine, meaning no Wineskin-2.6.2. (Catalina also needs apps to be notarized) If you really need PKHeX use a VM or downgrade to Mojave.

Their is no getting it working on macOS Catalina since it removed all 32Bit support from the OS. Your options are downgrading to macOS Mojave or using an updated Virtual Machine software and running Windows to run PKHEX

PKHeX.app is a Wineskin wrapper just launch it like a normal application and PKHeX will launch. if your only wanting the new PKHeX.exe grab that from the normal section (not the mono version as it won’t work!) then do the usual “wine PKHeX.exe”

As @jasenyoface seems busy, here is an updated PKHeX.app version 19.07.05. PKHeX.exe had the original icon replace with the custom icon (same as the PKHeX.app from @jasenyoface) Wineskin was changed over to the newer project Unofficial Wineskin Engine was changed to using Wine-4.0.1 as that has better support for dotnet. Still has support for PKHaX launch from the same .app XZ compression used instead of 7z to allow extraction without third party tools. Support for OSX 10.8 to macOS 10.14

I keep thinking I should just make a new PKHeX wrapper with “Unofficial Wineskin” and attach it to a reply. At least then I know it will work for anyone on macOS 10.8 to 10.14

@jasenyoface any reason for not updating this? (I have a newer wrapper working even on 10.8 with the newest PKHeX version) It is also a good idea to swap from Wineskin from doh123 to the updated Wineskin Fork that's stable and works on OSX10.8 > macOS10.14, it directly downloads wine from Winehq and always downloads the latest version of Winetricks.

It works on Mojave so it will work for you, it has just not been updated in while so you won't be using the most recent version of PKHeX Also the version available for download is using Wineskin-2.6.2 not Winebottler.

Your welcome, Not exactly the way I meant but it works, some users might get scared with the cmd being launched. I'm going to PM you a link instead, stock Wineskin can handle that correctly, But I do know Wineskin Navy can.

@jasenyoface You know it's possible to have both PKHex & PKHaX working from the same wrapper right?, If you like I could modify your PKHeX.app to launch normal it will load PKHeX as normal then launch PKHaX when holding Option on Launch. For updating all you would need to do it replace the PKHeX.exe with your version that includes the replaced icon and it's good to go. Also your wrapper should work on MAC OSX 10.8 and up since you have disabled the "GPU Info" checkbox

I installed Both Nova sun and Umbra Moon and both are not showing the new items in shops the prices did change but removed items are still listed. I installed with the drag & drop method and using Luma 8.1.1 Ruutile Ruby is working correctly so I have no idea why its not working as it should, I see on GBATemp others are also mentioning the shops not been updated correctly
