Maybe ill finally find another Onix in the wild?! i caught one the week the game launched and have never seen another since! That never mattered until GEN 2 though lol.

I haven't played in a while.  When it launched I was really into it but it got boring after a while.  I don't care for it's, umm mechanics I guess is the word that I'll use.

What's you're favorite aspect of the game?

Pokémon video games are played worldwide.  In fact, as of March, Pokémon X &Y is the top seller for the Nintendo 3DS console by having sold 16.11 million units.  Coming in second with 15.44 million units sold is Game Freak’s latest game: Pokémon Sun & Moon.  Released near the end of 2016, Pokémon Sun & Moon has been the center piece for this season’s competitive battling.

For months, Trainers all around the world have been attending events such as; Global Link battles, Premier Challenges, Midseason Showdowns, Pokémon Regionals, and the much anticipated Pokémon International Championships to earn enough Championship Points (CP) in order to get invited to the 2017 Pokémon World Championships.  Battles are comprised of teams of four; subjecting Trainers to the double battle format using only the Alola Pokédex.

With the International Challenges already being a third of the way finished, Trainers are busy refining and analyzing their strategies and possibly their teams before they battle in the 2017 North American International Championships. This is the last stop where Trainers can earn more CP before the Pokémon World Championships.  The World VGC is an invite only event; players that have earned top ranks in each rating zone and have the most CP will receive an invitation.

    UPDATE:
So far we have seen the European, Oceania, Latin American and most recently the North American International Championships unfold.  Listed below are the talented Trainers that placed first in each class in each event.  Congratulations to you and to everyone that has made it to the top!

    European

    Oceania

    Latin American

    North American

Please take note of these particular Pokémon VGC Rules:

Hey @jasenyoface, I am a complete noob on this! Do u mind to guide me step by step?

    1. Where do I install JKSM to, is it my MAC or N3DSXL?

    2. Do you mind to take a few screen shot? Or is there any thread that particularly describe about how everything works?

    3. How do I install JKSM? OMG I'm getting confused.

    1. JK's Save Manager is installed on the 3DS.  You can find JKSM HERE

    2. and 3. I suggest searching the internet for those things.

We must stay on topic in this thread, which is PKHeX for Mac users.  If you have any more questions or issues related to PKHeX for Mac, continue to post them in this thread.  Thank you!

Hey I have a question here, which file do I import if i want to start making changes?

It doesn't auto-detect my SD card when i attached it. May I know which file do I import from the following folders?

Do you have a save manager?  A save manager will allow you to export and import your save file to your SD card.

I suggest that you try JK's Save Manager (JKSM). With JKSM, you can export/import your save data to your SD card. After exporting your save data to your SD card, PKHeX should detect your save file automatically.  If it doesn't automatically detect your save file, you can easily find your save file in a folder named "JKSV" that will be on the root of your SD card. Your save file will be in subfolder "Saves".  You can navigate to your save file within the PKHeX app.

Popular 3DS and mobile game, Pokémon Shuffle will soon feature new stages where players can expect to catch some Generation VII Pokémon.

Yes, Alolan Pokémon are finally making their debut!  We can expect to catch the Alolan starters, Litten, Popplio, and Rowlet, making way for a great end for this Spring season.  This is a time sensitive event, don’t say that you were not warned!  Here is the break-down:

    • Litten’s stage is available until May 9.
    • Popplio’s stage will be from May 9 through May 23.
    • Rowlet’s stage will be from May 23 through June 6.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, we are being offered a gift between May 2 and May 30.  Enter Alolan Vulpix!

This month, Trainers have an excellent opportunity to acquire three new Mega Stones for their Pokémon in Pokémon Sun and Moon.  For the first time, we will be able to Mega Evolve our Abomasnow, Manectric and Tyranitar!

From May 17th to May 25th Trainers may register to compete in this month’s 2017 International Challenge May Online Competition.  Battles will begin May 26th and last through May 28th.  This will be a double battle competition that restricts Trainers to use only their Pokémon from the Alola region.  Other rules and restrictions apply.  Head over to Pokémon Global Link for more details.

    Trainer incentives:

    • Abomasite
    • Manectite
    • Tyranitarite
    • Championship Points

Mega Evolution does have its own advantages and disadvantages in battle, so naturally it doesn’t fit in with everyone’s strategies. However, these stones are only available when competing in this event.  Don’t miss out on this chance to add more content to your collection!

Pokémon Trainers can now collect four new Mega Stones to add to their collection in Pokémon Sun and Moon.  Claiming them is simple! Make sure you’re connected to a stable internet connection. Boot your copy of Sun or Moon and then select Mystery Gift.  Select the Receive Gift option followed by selecting the code and password option.  When prompted enter password: “INTIMIDATE.  In game, make your way to a Pokémon Center and locate the delivery person to receive your new items. Profit!

While not being the most exciting Mega Evolutions in the game, dedicated Trainers and Collectors can appreciate a more fulfilling experience with their Pokémon while expanding their inventory.  It is worth noting that Trainers may have to import these Pokémon from a previous game if not received via trade in Sun and Moon.

This Mystery Gift password is the only option to get these Mega Stones in Pokémon Sun and Moon.  Transferred Pokémon from Pokémon Bank will loose any held items.

  13. Congratulations to everyone that was recognized!

Project Pokémon is a special place where like-minded people can come together to contribute, collaborate, share and help each other.  I want to say that I appreciate everything Project Pokémon has to offer, and most importantly I want to show respect and share a huge thank you to everyone that makes this place what it is.

    -THANK YOU!

So its interesting, because when I press info on the wrapped PkHex, the icon shows. But in my applications folder, its just the "generic" application photo next to it. And when I try to put the icon into the get info preview to update it, it gives me an error that says "wine cannot open file type Apple Icon File" or something like that. What am I doing wrong?

So to understand you correctly; When you right click and press get info on your wine.app, the icon  does appear. However in your App folder, the wine.app has a generic icon.  Also, when your PKHEX.app is running the generic icon is also displayed in your dock.

After you wrapped PKHeX, was it's original icon ever displayed? Either running or not?  Also are you wanting to use the icon that I provided or are you simply trying to get PKHeX's original icon to be displayed?  I ask because you asked for my icns.txt file.

If you are just wanting PKHeX's original icon to be displayed, then you need to wrap PKHeX again. That may fix your problem. Sometimes, for reasons I do not know, the icon will not be present post wrap.  Wrapping again has fixed that issue for me plenty of times.

If you're wanting to use my icon here is how it works.  When you edit the wine.app icon, it only changes how it appears in your Application folder or where ever your app is located.  Usually it's as easy as a copy and paste with a .icns file within the "Get Info" menu.  The icon that I provided is slightly different because it is a .txt file with it's icon being the desired icon for PKHeX.  So the instructions within that .txt file should be followed. That being said, when you run PKHeX, it's original icon will still be displayed in the dock unless you alter the icon from the .EXE file too. Which I do so everything matches.

EDIT: So I followed the directions and built the pkHex wine app myself following an earlier tutorial posted. I am having the same issue as @Philbo though. The MediaFire link provided with the icons file and directions is private though. Can anybody assist with this? I got PkHex working and running fine but the icon is bothering me haha.

When I updated this tread with PKHeX 20170424, I fixed the icns issue.

That's awesome that you wrapped it yourself!  It's pretty easy to do after you do it a few times.  So here is the link for the icon: icns.txt -enjoy!

I know that its legal, it existed in previous generations, but i am trying to spawn a seismic toss kangaskhan and i cant get the correct parameters....

while they are valid moves, they are invalid re-learn moves.... so should it be set as an egg, found at a specific location?

and if i put it as transfered from another region, how does one set the trainer as another trainer from that region, or set the parameters to appear as such? (if its needed in order for the kanga to work)
