It does kind of explain what the problem is - your settings only allow Mac App Store apps to be installed. Just go to System Preferences>Security and Privacy>check 'allow apps to be downloaded from anywhere'.

VLC is irrelevent - your computer just associates it with that program. Have you tried dragging the file into PKHeX?

Can you trade anything at all? If you catch a Pokémon in-game, can you trade that? Or is it just fake Pokémon you're having trouble with?

I might be wrong, but whereas legendary encounters are single event flags, the Delta Episode is made up of lots of different flags as you progress through it. I don't even know if diff checking save files before and after the Delta Episode would be much use, since lots will change in your save file as you progress. You'd probably have as much luck trying to replay the Team Flare hideout in X and Y, for example.

Not really. To dump and edit your save file you kind of need to dump your save file in the first place. There's no easy fix, and it isn't that time consuming, especially compared to what we had in 2014.

I presume you mean RAM2Sav and PCEdit? PKHeX is just an editor that runs on your computer. RAM2Sav and PCEdit DO work with the 3DS XL, since it's basically just a bigger 3DS. The New 3DS isn't compatible though, at least not at the moment. From what I understand, New 3DS support isn't going to be coming any time soon, but I may be wrong.

What time of day have you tried this at? Sky Forme Shaymin is day-only. Pokémon in the PC are kind of preserved from changes like this (which is why permanent mega evolutions will reset if you leave them in your party, and stay as they are if you deposit them beforehand), hence it changing to Land Forme when you withdraw it. Kyurem's forme can be changed but you won't be able to unfuse it in-game I don't think, since the data for the Reshiram/Zekrom won't be in your file.

Nope, unfortunately not, it only works with physical copies. It's nothing to do with the console, you plug your cartridge into the save editor dongle that connects to your computer.

All Spinda have different spot patterns. Well, pretty much. There are billions of combinations, so the chances of ever seeing two the same are pretty much impossible. PKHeX allows you to make any pattern you want. Some of Spinda's Pokédex entries mention the odds of two Spinda having the same spot pattern as less than one in four billion. Since Spinda's spots are based on its personality value (a 32-bit number), a simplistic model would put the odds at 1 in 4,294,967,295, which is indeed smaller than one in four billion; however, it is actually possible for two personality values to produce spot patterns that are visually identical, so the real odds are somewhat higher.

Probably nothing to do with editing your save. Have you updated the game with the latest patch, to 1.2? Or even 1.1, since that only came out a few days before? You can't go online unless you do.

Met locations have to be programmed into the game. "Bryant Park" won't be in the game, I doubt it anyway. "A gift"? "A faraway place"? I don't know, you'd have to ask someone who has one.

"Wouldn't go through" what? I can't figure out what you mean. Pokemon Bank? Because that has no hack checks at all. You can put anything in there. Literally anything. A Xerneas with no pentagon from Kanto. A Mew met in Lumiose City. Protean Dragonite. Volcanion from Sinnoh. A Magikarp with Judgement. Anything. I've made loads of Pokemon and transferred them from X to Alpha Sapphire, from scratch. It's not difficult. Uploading a file would be pointless. Just make it up. Game? Alpha Sapphire. Met? Mirage Island? Oldale Town? Anything will work. Is there any reason you want your Pokemon to be hatched? Have you tried just making a regular Pokemon? If you really want a "template", just Bank a random Pokemon from your Alpha Sapphire game, then put it on your Japanese X/Y cart, then open it in PKHeX. Then all you have to do is change the species, met location, moves, ability. Which kind of defeats the object really. But give it a go. Because anything will get through Pokemon Bank.

From the Cyber Gadget thread... You can, it even keeps all the met location data despite not showing in X and Y (shows as a "faraway place" or something). You can also make an OR/AS born Pokémon, inject them into X/Y, and then transfer them into OR/AS with the correct data displaying. Just don't try and do anything with any of the four new moves/three new abilities that aren't coded into X and Y, or you'll regret it. I don't know if PKHeX has a mechanism to prevent people from doing this? You can trade them as long as you've not done anything stupid like given them an illegal ability or move. That includes Pokémon with egg moves that weren't hatched and have a met location, multiple egg moves, tutored moves with the wrong game origin, wrong met location, illegal Pokeballs etc.

I doubt it will be an "event". Zygarde is so insignificant, unimportant, it's just there in X and Y. Kind of like Rayquaza in Ruby and Sapphire, Giratina in Diamond and Pearl, and Kyurem in Black and White. So it's highly unlikely they'll do anything with Zygarde in X and Y. The two moves will be for the Zygarde-orientated game(s), which will probably be announced in the middle/late in 2015. Zygarde will get two new formes which use those moves, or one which uses both. Thousand Arrows will allow it to fight Yveltal with its ground typing. The moves are in X and Y for the sake of it, and to allow people to battle with the games. You can't really say they haven't chose to us the Eternal Floette. Events often take way longer than this to be released.

It was kind of a given when they took the trading restrictions off Reshiram and Zekrom (the only two Pokemon that you couldn't legitimately get shiny) a few days before release. Other than those two, all the other wild Pokemon in OR/AS have been shiny before now. They also took Hoopa off the "blacklist" of non-tradeable Pokemon, which suggests it will be officially revealed soon. Legendary Pokemon are never different when you rebattle them, other than location perhaps.

It changed in XY, which is what Destinyy was referring to. The odds have now doubled - 2/8192, or 1/4096. The Shiny Charm still cuts the odds to a third, 3/4096 or 1/1365. This has all carried over to OR/AS. There has been talk of the Masuda Method not stacking up with the Shiny Charm due to the wording in the item's description, but I don't think anyone's too sure. Gen 5: A shiny charm said to increase the chance of finding a Shiny Pokémon. Gen 6: A shiny charm said to increase the chance of finding a Shiny Pokémon in the wild. The Friend Safari in X and Y has a completely different rate, which is unaffected by the Shiny Charm because it's already ridiculously low (to encourage people to register friends on their 3DS - 1/512.
