Eviolite wont be a thing. I mean, it said that you activate Mega Evolution during battle. I see it as being similar to Darmanitan's Zen Mode, except as an item instead of an ability. So no, chances of Eviolite being a thing is pretty much nonexistant. I feel like Smogon will just ban the megastones for convenience - they could really wreck in the lower tiers, even if the lack of item means it'll be gimmicky in OU. ...I don't really think they'll have an effect on the competitive metagame, unless we're including TGC.

Vaporeon, no question. It's the only one that is usable but at the same time doesn't look silly (i.e jolteon). Well, besides Espeon. I hate Espeon, though.

Well darn, so it's just like a normal Pokémon game but with models instead of sprites? Is it like that for the battles too or just the overworld? Oh, and I think someone got a Shiny Sylveon - it looks pretty cool, it's a nice blue colour. For him though that must have been one of the worst moments of his life... I mean damn, finding a shiny at a demo? Of such a popular Pokémon?

Speaking of Pokémon, both Lucario and Mewtwo have had the spotlight shone on them once again due to the announced Megavolutions... so which character would get in? Lucario? Mewtwo? Both? Oh, and will the super-form play a part in the character if either of them do get in? As a final smash or an alternate form (like zelda and samus have)? Just checked their posts, and nah that's not me. If I was here before it was probably Shadow something, though. And yeah, it has been a while. I've been pretty good thanks, I just finished school so I'm about to go to college to do Computing, Philosophy, Law and English Lit. No idea what I want to do after that, but hey, that's future me's problem. Overall though I've been pretty great, good to see you again. ps: Thanks for clearing that up, evan. Nice to meet you!

I know this is for online battling, but this really makes me question how in-depth the customization goes...

After going through it, I still have mixed opinions about Mega Evolutions... On one hand, I feel like they're placing it on Pokémon that people want to use but aren't good enough for people to bother. Ampharos, Mawile, Absol... On the other hand, I really dislike the idea of giving Mewtwo and Blaziken MORE power. Oh, and Ampharos has silly hair - I like the addition of Dragon type though. Mega Kanghaskan I really don't like, I mean, all of Kanghaskan's Pokédex entries talk about how much she tries to protect her child. Throwing a steroid-induced baby into the fray just seems contradictory to the whole "Kanghaskan protects the weak baby!" thing they had going on. Overall I like some of the Megolution designs and dislike some of the others. Overall I don't feel like it'll affect much in competitive and'll be used more as a "final E4/Gym Pokémon" thing. I don't much care for it, but in the end it wont really change anything.

I'm going to try and go through the games as I did as a kid - blindly and choosing Pokémon based on their name and looks. Of course, since I've already seen the starters... I'm going to have to go with Chespin. He's just so adorable, and a grass/fighting that isn't Breloom is really appealing to me.

Hey there! I've used a lot of names over the years (starting with GUMMY and Shadow), but the main ones I'm referred to are Boom and Smogo (the names I used with most of the people I met). Call me whatever though. hopefully nothing mean. It's been a long time since I got into Pokémon - I started on Shoddy and ended on Pokémon Online. I'm looking to get back into competitive Pokémon for Generation 6, so there we go. I can't remember if I ever actually came here but I've known about this place for a while - I was on the rain server with CuleX and Shogun/rain when I first started competitive Pokémon, and from CuleX I found out about this place, although as stated I don't think I ever actually registered or, well, did anything. I noticed that it's against the rules to have more than one account, but I legitimately can't remember if I ever had another account (nor do I remember what a password to said non-existant account could be). I mean, it's been a few years, so feel free to delete my old account if you know of one I may have had at any point. Sorry for any possible troubles in that regard. Anyway, to cut it short, I'm looking to get back into Pokémon so I browsed around for a while and decided upon this place. I have a fondness for small communities I guess. Nice to meet you. :creep:
