  1. BWME is still beta. Have you tried replacing with Tinke? Nate is located in 47, pal is 73. Replace image and palettes.
  2. For each sprite you see, there are notehr files that go along with it. There are eight files in total. You have to replace all these files. You can use BWSE to get a general idea of which files contain which. For example, Sprite id#0 is Nate -> Files 0-7. Sprite id#1 is Rosa -> Files 8-15, etc.
  3. Use PPNFR to replace files if Tinke isn't able.
  4. It seems to regenerate the palette for that specific file (BWME and Tinke). That is what it looks like to me. I've been thinking... What about a string of used colors near the top (1pixel per color)? I'm not sure how they read colors and maps but I wonder if that could allow them to have the same colors.
  5. Did you try to sync the palettes? (Sync Pal). (looking into it) Be sure to check colors. I think you exceeded the 16col limit. edit1: It has something to do with the palette. The color maps are out of order, leading to mixup.
  6. You want to use 1_238 image and 1_239 palette. Go to those files and extract them. I've already posted instructions a few posts ago...
  7. Unpack the 1.narc, do not unpack the .bin that holds the image you want.
  8. 1) Use Tinke to extract 238.bin and 239.RLCN 2) Unpack the 1.narc 3) Navigate to the image and palette file (Do NOT unpack the image file! Just extract the .bin file). 4) Open up PPNFR and open the NARC 5) Go to Index 0 (Image) - > Replace file 5a) Replace with your 1_238.bin file 6) Go to Index 1 (Palette) -> Replace File 6a) Replace with your 1_239.RLCN file 7) Reinsert NARC into ROM. Success.
  9. 1) Download PPNFR (http://projectpokemon.org/mirrors/PPNFR.zip) 2) Open NARC 3) Find the files you need 4) Replace 5) Reinsrt NARC into rom.
  10. When you change the files (I'm assuming with BWSE), it only changes the image. Each image also has multiple other files that come with it. These files control various other things including animation. You have to swap all of Hugh's files with Nate's files, not just the sprite.
  11. a/0/0/2 or a/0/0/3 Use PPTXT and find the text. Replace and save.
  12. Not at my computer so not sure, but try 176 for BW. Edit: http://projectpokemon.org/rawdb/black/msg/176.php
  13. You can't apply it to yourself. And yes, trainer class corresponds to different sprites, music, and different class name.
  14. It modifies the trainers you battle.
  15. BWTE edits opponent trainers, not you. It doesn't modify the trainer card.
  16. 1) Find Nate's file (you just did this) 2) Find the file file you want to replace Nate's file 3) extract those files 4) go back to Nate's file and click Change File 5) Save - since you are using a previous existing character, that should be all you need to do.
  17. Unpack the non palette files to get the images.
  18. To be truthful, I use GIMP. I think Infranview will work (not sure though).
  19. I've never been inside that narc so I'm not sure. But if the images are compressed, uncompressed them. Else, just open the image.
  20. Reduce colors in your modified image, insert it, go to palette tab and change color.
