  1. when I first went to Kiloude City she wasn't there,so I left and came back about 30 minutes later and she was there... No, pokemon bank is the only way so far, but we have to wait until December. Japan gets it earlier.
  2. I agree to an extent. As a competitive player myself, I will be using a number of the newer pokemon at first just to see how they may fare on the competitive field. However, the problem with using the Pokemon Bank to transfer pokemon over, is that we don't know how it will be able to detect cheated pokemon. Sure, you could spend a while making great pokemon and then 'try' to transfer them to the storage, only for them to be rejected. We'll have to wait to see how the online aspect of storing pokemon will affect this. Also, someone might be able to crack the 3DS....eventually. Pokemon gen 6 has only begun and no doubt all main future pokemon releases will be on the 3DS. So eventually, it should be cracked allowing for pokemon editing.
  3. you should be able to get them, but it all depends on whether or not someone would risk putting a high level pokemon on there for the potential of receiving a level 3 scatterbug/fletchling. The highest level pokemon Ive gotten was a level 22 Pancham from a Japanese player. The highest I've sent out was a level 20 female Eevee. So it all depends on the player.
  4. Well so far, out of all my Mega Pokemon, Charizard and Mewtwo are the only ones with a different form.
  5. As for the Pokemon designs....well....oh heck here we go with the love/hate aspect of the new generations. Here are my views in the spoiler below. As you can see, the good outweighs bad in my opinion. Slurpuff and Avalugg being the worst looking pokemon this generation, I think anyways.
  6. Yes. Previous 1-5 gen pokemon can be encountered while progressing through the game. I like it. It's exciting not knowing which kind of Pokemon will appear. Like the first route when you begin for example. It has new pokemon like Scatterbug and Bunnelby, but it also has ones like Pidgey, Caterpie etc
  7. So, I managed to get my Eevee to evolve into Sylveon. I made a video of it and it's currently uploading to Youtube. I'll post a link when it uploads. Really happy that I evolved it. EDIT: Here is the link to my video showing my Eevee evolving into Sylveon.
  8. I'll go first. I got my copy of Pokemon Y yesterday (8th October) and I have to say I am LOVING the new game. I've played for around about 9 hours so far. So I chose Chespin first. I usually start with a Grass type. I chose Chespin since most people are liking Froakie's evolution. Chespin is actually quite good. Even though the first Gym is a bug gym, I beat Viola with Chespin only using Rollout! I've put my review in a spoiler incase your don't want to read what I've written. Well at this point, I'm going for my second badge and I LOVE the game so far. Lots of Pokemon to catch (mostly the old ones, but the variety of them is good), the trainers are easy (downside), the Rollerblades, Trainer Customisation (shocking prices, p3000 for a hat? Sure no bother!), Furfrou grooming among other things has made this an enjoyable game so far. It will take a good while to complete to the full extent and I cannot wait for the PGL to come online to see how that affects the game play.
  9. This thread should be reserved for discussion regarding the games. Anything regarding Pokemon X / Y such as the play style, Gym Leaders, Pokemon availability etc should be discussed here.
  10. I love the new Blastoise. I will be getting Squirtle. Venusaur looks the same so it doesn't really appeal to me. As the new Charizard...meh. I like the orange one. What intrigues me about Charizard X is the issue of it being shiny. By making it black with blue through it, how would it look if it were to be shiny? I'm guessing they'll put the shiny lock on it so it can't be shiny like they did with Reshiram, Zekrom, and Victini. I don't know if you guys have seen it, but a Mega Aerodactyl, Gengar and Abomasnow has been confirmed thanks to someone who got the game early on. I think the Aerodactyl and Abomasnow look cool. Not too sure about Gengar though... I will be getting a copy of Pokemon Y on Tuesday thanks to a close friend, so I'll be adding things about the Mega Evolutions (in spoilers) as I go along in the game.
  11. The two on the right are new fossil pokemon: The T-Rex is called Chigorasu and is a Rock/Dragon type with a new ability called "Hard Jaw" which increases the power of Biting moves like Crunch and the other one is a Diplodocus called Amarusu and is a Rock/Ice type with a new ability called Freeze Skin, turning normal type moves into Ice type moves and increases their power.... I'm excited for their evolutions. There is a white dog called Torimian which is a Normal-type It has a new ability called Fure Coat which reduces Physical Damage. You can also customize its appearance Finally, the Psychic-type cat called Nyaonikusu, which has male and female appearances. Male is on the right, Female is on the left. Movepool varies by gender. The male is more of a supporter while the female is more of an attacker with, female Nyaonikusu knowing Extrasensory and male knowing Miracle Eye. It has Keen Eye or Infiltrator
  12. Starter first evolutions.....erm.....yes to Froakies?.... Fennekins stands up....what the hell is up with Chespins? Just NO! Chespins is called Hariboogu, Fennekins is called Teerunaam and Froakies is called Gerogashira. All of them are pure type.
  13. I love the new mega Garchomp. Scythes for Arms....hell yeah!
  14. if this list proves to be true....I have to say that I'm excited. The descriptions of the pokemon are interesting to say the least. What is weird are the types. Poison/Steel, Dragon/Fairy, Fairy/Dark, Water/Fighting, Grass/Flying, Poison/Electric, Rock/Electric, Rock/Ice, Rock/Dragon, Fighting/Flying, Ice/Fighting, then of course, the Metal Legendary pokemon. These types, like Mewtwo Ex says, would completely break the meta game. There would be too many types to try and counter, so many different combinations of moves to face, making it more unpredictable, which is great. I love it! As for the Metal Legendaries....I don't think so. Maybe steel type, but not metal. Why introduce another type and give it only to Legends? I'm so excited lol. Probably the most I've ever been for a Pokemon game.....October can't come fast enough!
  15. This whole "Mega-Evolution" thing has me really divided. On one hand, yes its a great idea. Pokemon like Ampharos, Kangaskhan and Mawile, which don't really get the battling experience they deserve, are getting the chance to evolve in massive powerhouses and become a force to be reckoned with. What I don't like about this though, is why give it to Mewtwo, Blaziken, Lucario etc. Those Pokemon are already powerhouses (Mewtwo especially) and don't really need any further 'evolutions'. Now on the other hand, it feels too much like Digimon. As soon as Mega Evolution was revealed, Digimon was the first thing that popped into my head. I don't like the idea of the pokemon only being able to "Mega - Evolve" during battle only. Pokemon is all about evolving permanently. Why give a pokemon the ability to evolve only for a short time? Evolving and then switching back to its regular state after battle is just a complete Digimon rip-off. Game Freak are obviously running out of ideas if "Mega-Evolution" is their new concept for new generation games. I guess we'll just have to wait until nearer release date to get the full story behind this concept. Personally, I don't think it will work all that well. But I'm old fashioned, I like the old way better.
  16. Source video? I think if they release a car pokemon it may be time to abandon the franchise (not really). A car pokemon would obviously signify they have ran out of ideas for new pokemon. A cone pokemon...yes I must admit that I laughed my head off when I saw Vanillite and its evolutions. Trubbish, again I laughed when I saw it and Garbodor. Over the years there have been some laugh out loud moments upon viewing the new generation (for me anyways). Wobbuffet, Nosepass, Bidoof, Bibarel, Probopass, Mime Jr, Roggenrola and Klink/evolutions Those pokemon would pale in comparison should a car pokemon be released and we all know it.
  17. It's highly unlikely that it will be a car pokemon. A pokemon (natural) which is a car (man-made mechanical)....extremely unlikely. Yes Porygon and Mewtwo are man made pokemon, but a Car? Come on. Orotto/Aulotte has yet to be revealed so at this point speculation is all we have. My opinion, I think it may be a flying type or a Fairy.
  18. Try watching this and following this guy's instructions:
  19. Vivillon's pre-evolutions have been given their western names: US: Scatterbug / JP: Kofukimushi (コフキムシ) Bug Type US: Spewpa / JP: Kofuurai (コフーライ) Bug Type Also, the little Lion Pokemon (Unknown Classification): US: Litleo / JP: Shishiko (シシコ) Fire/Normal Type Then the Flower Pokemon (Unknown Classification): US: Flabébé / JP: Furabebe (フラベベ) Fairy Type
  20. I think we're all over bashing the Fairy type. Before Gen 4 and 5, the only good Dragon was Salamence/Rayquaza and maybe Latias/Latios. Beside Salamence and the occasional Dragonite, I rarely battled any other Dragon. Flygon/Altaria were practically non-existent on the battle front (still are). Then with Gen 4 and the arrival of Garchomp, the need to have a Dragon Type Pokemon on the teams exploded and everyone used one. Again this happened once Gen 5 was released and Hydreigon/Haxorus/Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyurem came into play. The power of Dragons doubled and now nearly everyone has some type of Dragon on their team. This might become the case with the Fairy pokemon. We're all bashing them because of them being Cutesy, but, they could in fact be (and probably will be) meta-game changers. If Fairies are able to destroy the Dragon types, everyone will start using the Fairies. Gardevoir/Azumarill/Wigglytuff (and possibly Clefable/Granbull) will see a huge resurgence on the competitive field, teams will change and they will become one of the best types to use in recent years (up alongside Fighting/Dragons/Water/Fire/Psychic). As for Blissey becoming a Fairy Type...I'd say it's extremely likely that it will. If Blissey were to become a Fairy, I'd say it could become one of (if not the best) battler in competitive play. It's HP and Sp.Def are already through the roof. Giving it power over Dragons would lead it to become one the greatest pokemon (over statement perhaps, but true).
  21. With Fairy type now being revealed, and it being super effective against Dragons, the metagame will change entirely. No doubt, everyone will use the Fairies at first, depending on which pokemon will be revealed Fairies, but because of them be good against Dragons, and with everyone using a Dragon type, everyone will have to change around their teams. No doubt, the Fairy type may be weak against Fighting and or Dark/Steel Pokemon. As for other Fairy types, Clefairy and Snubbull are my fore-tellings. Clefairy has to be. If Jigglypuff is a fairy, then Clefairy has to be. Three types....meh. I don't believe they'll introduce three type Pokemon. Gyarados and Charizard are begging to become part Dragon, as Iris believed Charizard was in the anime lol, but I don't think three type pokemon will be around until they make another generation (here's hoping).
  22. So, the new pokemon were revealed at E3 and some of them are meh (Skrelp and Clauncher)... but there is one that has caught my attention. Fletchling's evolution, Talonflame, looks like a complete baddass: Talonflame - Fire/Flying Other new Pokemon: Vivillon - Bug/Flying Noivern - Flying/Dragon Clauncher - Water Skrelp - Poison/Water We also have Hoarde encounter, meaning that we can encounter a group of pokemon : Sky Battles are confirmed (about time too): Plus the Fairy type. Sigh. I do like though that they are super effective against Dragons. With this new Fairy type and only Gardevoir, Marill, Jigglypuff and Sylveon revealed as Fairies, it's entirely possible that the cuties with only one type could be revealed as Fairies too....Yes Clefairy and Snubbull, I do mean you two. So what do we think so far...?
  23. Copying your cookies while visiting someone's home has no effect on the program. As Hozu said, you'll need to have a sufficient amount of berries so that the program can submit a berry for the game. Without the berry, it will encounter the pokemon but the 404 error message will show up under it and the pokemon won't be at the tree to befriend. As for Rank, it only means how good the pokemon will be. Rank 1 will encounter pokemon with good moves and find good items. It goes from 1-5. 1 being the best rank and 5 the worst. Rank 5 only finds pokemon with a rubbish move, whereas 1 finds pokemon with a good move. Hope that helps you.
  24. You're not the only one this has happened to. Read the first page dude and follow the instructions. This issue has already been resolved.
