; CERO is the Japanese rating company (A for Everyone, Z for 18+). Yeah, the cartridge ID is right (you did leave out a "J" though). And you've made sure you have done a fresh install of Cyber (uninstall first), then had it update on it's own, then try to access the Pokemon codes through the program without using either modified program?

; Smogon is basically useless, and always was for things that matter. If you want something "legal", it takes research. Use Serebii and Bulbapedia to find the information you need for any given Pokemon's possible designs, and which Origin game it needs to be to have what you want. I'd say, make it hatched, drop the transfer move (which I doubt you'll really need in the first place), and put it in your favorite Ball that can be obtained in Gen VI. It can even have it's Hidden Ability! For hatching, Met is wherever you want. Mark the Hatched as Egg option, then set that to the Pokemon Daycare (I think it is the first option on the droplist). As for the groups, if you search PokeGen or PokéGen, you should find at least one of the two I'm in. Though, at least one of them has made it members-only for posting, so you'd have to give a join request... and with how many there are of people just wanting other people to Gen for them (not the purpose of the group), I ignore them. ; But, if you send a request and it's not accepted, send me a message and let me know what name to look for (and remind me why, since I tend to forget...). On the other hand... did a search, and found a bunch of stuff with the same name as well... so here's the two I am on (hope the links work right): https://www.facebook.com/groups/248462871893024/?ref=br_tf https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pok%C3%A9Gen/185475008263872

You want them to pass legal checks? Make them "legal". There are rules on them. Such as: -No Wonder Guard on anything that's not Shedinja. And such. -EV limits. (No more than 255 to a stat, no more than 510 total.) -MATCH ORIGIN REQUIREMENTS. This includes, but is not limited to: Moves/Abilty/Nature/IV's/Gender/Shinyness/Event-obtained, etc. -Don't tamper with unnecessary parts of the file. To make sure a file is a "legal" as possible, start with one you got properly in-game, and modify it to what it would otherwise be. That way, you are even still the OT and such. Also, unless it's a Gen V or older Pokemon, I recommend a Reroll on the PID after you finish modifying it, then apply if it's Shiny or not. Also, there are groups that exist specifically for this kind of thing. I help mod a couple of them on Facebook, for starters. We don't really need minor technical help on how to Gen on this thread... It's supposed to be for help/support/maintenance/etc with the program itself. Edit: Ok, looked at your file... -Caught in a Moon Ball? on X/Y? Obviously hacked, since ONLY the Johto region games have access to the Moon Ball. Other than that, it's a bit over-convenient designed... With that kind of Pokemon, it should ALWAYS be designed as "hatched". You can still have it be in any ball you could catch it in in the Friend Safari, since Ball carries from Females when breeding. Edit2: And, after checking your moves, you didn't even try to make it legal. One is an Egg move (and you didn't have it hatched), and one is ONLY obtainable for Charizard before Gen VI.

What is the ID of your game cartridge? The number/letter info on the front of the cartridge, under the "The Pokemon Company Nintendo" label. Do you have any other Japanese game cartridges? If so, you should test with them as well. If not... really, spending over $300 merely to cheat on a single game is what some people are doing. Switch to full importing and start learning Japanese while you're at it. Heck, you can get your extra language credits for college easily that way too. If you are trying to do that whole "Transfer English save to Japanese cartridge" method, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case to begin with. Seriously, not a smart way to do things (modding the data is bad enough). Since it seems there are some people that are having this problem, I guess we should start with trying to find out if there is any variance in the cartridges. Also, it could be possible that for some reason you are in a blacklist area for their server (as in, you get the base program, but they won't support use). I have no idea if this really could be the case, but I wouldn't believe it impossible either. Also, MAKE SURE you are trying this without the modified Cyber Editor (with a fresh JP install, let it update, and don't replace anything.). The modified Editor just makes it easier to access the save file with PKHeX; you want to make sure it's even going to work first.

Depends on your Save Dongle brand... if it's Cyber's, then you use PKHeX, as it's the only standard way to do so. If it's not Cyber's... then you wasted your money as far as I know. You may also want to get the English-modded application of Cyber (also on ProjectPokemon), which makes it easier to do things. Simply run Cyber, select your game cartridge, right-click, choose Advanced Edit; when the Hex Editor comes up, select a "0", replace it with a "0", then hit the finish button. Say "Yes" to the first popup, but stop before confirming the second one. At this point, you load PKHeX, which will have access to the Hex-editing file, and can edit as desired. Then export the edited save over that one, finish Cyber's action, and it will write your edited save to your game.

Cool! So, what are the other "Outfit Val" options for? Do they customize the rest of character appearance, but just not yet organized? Will all clothes options be easily settable soon? Possible problems I've noticed: -Wonder card editing -Party editing (I avoid this by just extracting their data then putting the modified file in the PC) -Various Event Flags Apparently, changing your badges doesn't affect story events... doesn't allow re-battling Gyms either. Wonder if that could become possible (I so wish they'd just make all trainers and Gyms possible to re-battle as much as you want, post-E4...)

Ah, so that's what's going on... I wonder if the other "corrupt save" issues I've come across are for the same kind of reason. Should I notify when I come across those, to hunt them out? They've never been of much interest to me, since they were nothing important (changing Event Flags, Trainer Data, etc. for the most part). Will the "Full Pokedex" be a "Legal-full" or totally full? And how do the Male/Female options work for species where one or both don't even apply to the species? (or will that be changed to just have the applicable options?)
-
Just restore one of your backup saves. Cyber automatically makes a backup before you do stuff (unless you turned that option off for some reason...). Also, if you got a PC of Bad Eggs, that's error on your part. Don't blame the program for your mistake. It just means you have some learning to do on how to do this right. (You can't just say "I want whatever random layout I want", you need to actually make it possible. One of the side reasons I tell people to only Gen Pokemon as legit as possible.) There are various threads/groups that help people with that, if you want help.

Actually, Kaphotics? I notice that the option is in the program, but none of the options are selectable... is this planned to be available soon? I have to agree, it would be kind of neat to have the character barefoot with no hat on the beach! "unreleased item"? What do you mean, BattleLegend? I can put on every article of clothing in-game (I got everything long ago), but I am interested in actually fully removing them as well. The fast-edit while using PKHeX would be nice too. (Or is that another feature that results in a "corrupted save" issue, and therefore useless?)

Does get the game list from the servers? (If you select the "Show All" tag at the bottom, it will show all the games you can run it with) Also, despite not showing your game, does it let you make a backup of the save (this will work even for games not recognized, as it doesn't use the server for that).

msn152: I meant other Japanese games. Cyber is literally region-locked, as those specific Japanese-version (language chosen from the language-menu at the start of the game doesn't matter though, just the game's coded region) games are the only ones that it recognizes (There is a list of them; just check the Save Bank on the program itself). Try uninstalling the Cyber program, reinstall it, update it, LEAVE it in Japanese, and try seeing if it recognizes your Japanese game(s). Lacrima08: Have you tried getting the program fully updated while leaving it only in Japanese, then trying to use it like that? Don't add the English-mod version, just leave it Japanese (after using it once, you should know what buttons need pushed where anyways).

Actually, read the full data there. It says "Could not retrieve game information from the server. Unknown game." Did you try any other games? It's possible you literally aren't connecting to the server now (which would result in the same thing)

Oooh, that makes me wonder for having full character-outfit editing... add/remove hat, eyecolor, shoes, whatever.
-
First: Do you have Cyber updated? That could make a difference (I dunno. I updated on the spot). What game are you trying to use it with? We assume Pokemon, as this is ProjectPokemon, but just want to make sure. NOT all games are supported by Cyber (or Powersaves, for that matter, despite being blatantly worse than Cyber) Did you try multiple times with the same result? If so, then buying a new copy of the game won't help at all. If it has a different result, then buying a new copy of the game won't help either.

Since "Egg" is just a cover over the Pokemon visual for players until it hatches... No. The Pokemon is there, no different, just "in" an egg. (Look at the data in the Generator; the difference is only a flag that says "Currently in an egg".) If you are looking for help Genning things, there are numerous places that specialize in help with that (I help with a couple groups on Facebook that are for helping with PokeGen, but we are moving on to PKHeX, despite it being called a PokeGen group).
-
In particular to that "currupt save" problem, there are still parts that aren't quite safe to edit, despite being able to do so. The Pokemon in your PC are ok, but not in your Party (the Battle Box in particular isn't allowed to be edited). Some parts you should be wary of editing, Kaphotics has made note of in the program (such as comment for that part being in research). Enough of the save needs to match what the game is looking to load... I dunno how/why. Makes sense though. It's not like they ever made the games with the idea of "Lets have everyone hack whatever they want" in mind, after all.

Strictly speaking, that's true. But it has to be far enough in the game to actually do so. It's not possible without a Save+PokeDex.

... You are using a Japanese 3DS, right? This isn't the kind of thing where you go "Hey, let's mod a save file... on a game with no save file.". You have to actually have started the game to some extent, and particularly have obtained the Pokedex in-game to use Bank. If no Japanese 3DS... buy one. Then you can also enjoy other games that don't go to your Region or play them before everyone else (like Smash Bros. 3DS next month!)

Sigh, more overly-modding than was ever needed... Which will probably cause Cyber to go for the Server-side region lock on their system (since they seem to be open-minded for cheating, but not to the point of breaking things). Such I've heard is already starting to happen. More importantly than stupid over-hacks, what about Trainer Promo vids? Possible to extract?
-
So, wondering: Is it possible to extract Trainer Promo videos from the save? That would be the best thing since Shiny Mega Gardevoir! (I doubt it, since it seems only rendered when you view it in action at the building or when viewed by someone else...) About that XY editor: I just downloaded that program... it does blatantly less than PKHeX, unless it's got hidden options I couldn't make appear. Not worth translating. (nor hard to do so, from anything I found; it's got less that 30 words in that window, just re-used a lot).
-
You did update it fully before replacing with the English files, right?

Kaphotics has already commented on that. He designed the program to keep some things more legal. (Abilities is an easy one to do that with)
-
That's not the point. I can just use the Dex Editor to fix this. I just wonder why it happened in the first place. (When I looked at the data in PKHeX, it said I'd Met Normal Diancie, but Encountered Shiny)
-
Um, so, any idea why PKHeX added a Shiny Diancie and not a Normal Diancie to my Dex, when all I did was add a non-Shiny Diancie to my Box, and never touched the Pokedex settings? And can I just edit it to be correct, or is that not yet secure?
