After my tests, it's not even worth touching the Clothes section editing. It is only slower than just changing them in the in-game changing room/hair salon, and is nearly total nonsense to try to figure out what combination of numbers cause what effect. A particular clothing item may even be affected by a totally different clothing item! You can't actually apply the Skin features (from the Trainer Promo) for non-promo parts, so that is pointless too. (Or at least, none of my tests did it. If you set things to non-usable numbers or unusable combinations, then your character can be forced into their default (start-of-game) outfit and not have any changes at all from the codes. The few things of interest you can do: If you set an item to 0, then it will remove it. LITERALLY. Remove face option, you have no face. remove shirt option, you have no upper body. Just a clear empty area that screams CHEATER. Same for Hat, though some people may not realize that is the case right away. So, I guess you could just run through the game as the invisible woman or something.

On that note, the Japanese Gen VI wondercards page says: "Files will not be hosted here until file editing becomes available." Considering that PKHeX does that, why the heck aren't the W.C. files being added there? Is this just laziness on that project? Those files would be quite useful...

In the case of Meloetta's, the game isn't recognizing a form change, so doesn't revert it (doesn't have a flag set to check). I assume you are not having it change forms in battle with it reverting back to it's non-natural state? Most likely, the game just automatically resets Xerneas' form after battle as a natural function, since it already would change it's form when it entered battle, setting the flag to revert it afterwards.

Correct. Despite the program being able to insert Pokemon without limits, non-legal can't be used for trades online, and some can be blocked from battles online. Please don't use this thread as a Pokemon Request thread. If you have requests, PLEASE take those requests to threads/sites that exist for that purpose (or make one!). There are a couple I mod on Facebook, for example (originally from use with Pokegen, we also support PKHeX)

The driver is on the CD, and if I recall installs as part of the program installation while the device is attached. It really shouldn't be hard for you to find another computer that does happen to have a disc drive to copy the driver from the disc to a flash drive? If that is really not doable, then you could ask someone to upload it and link to it. (Gotta say, in this day and age, that problem is almost mind-boggling... there are even USB-disc drives for computers that don't have them)

The better question is: Is it worth 300-400 dollars to you to merely cheat in a game, just to get things that have intentionally been made easier to get in-game by the developers, or which are easily traded for online with those that have extras (and yes, there are people who have them, and will trade for your Magikarps)? That is seriously the only real question, unless you have a real desire to switch to importing your 3DS games instead of buying locally (which I do prefer, since translations are lousy and I'm already enjoying Smash Bros. for 3DS). And no, there is absolutely no foreseeable non-Japanese support for anything like this, as has been stated so many times in this thread.

Also, it's been noticed that only the earlier releases of the game will work with Cyber. Later releases have a slightly different coding on the ID, making it treated as an unknown game, and it's very unlikely you'll know until you already have it.

Unlike many common cheating devices of the past, this device has you attach the game cartridge itself to it, allowing you to edit the save file directly without attaching it to the system at all (as well as back it up). You DO need a Japanese 3DS to play the Japanese game. Because of Bank not caring about Region settings, however, if you HAPPEN to get a game cartridge that already has been played to where it has the PokeDex, then you can Gen Pokemon into the game and then store them to the Bank to give to your non-Japanese game. But, if you get a new X/Y game, then you'll need a JP 3DS to play that game anyways... or just regret wasting all that money so you can cheat. Though, considering you can play the game in any language in any Region (set up at the beginning of a new game)... people should really just go full Japanese gaming in the first place. (Heck, it doesn't hurt to have a second language, especially when it has the things you love!)

It's been a long while since I cared about PID's, thanks to Gen V, but I've gotten an interest in certain Pokemon from the past (particularly a couple of Events that are very unique) So, I want to double-check how PID's work with different things, only applied to Gen III/IV. -Nintendo Event (Does PID matter? If it does, which Encounter Method is used for Gen IV Events?) --ex: Crown Suicune Event (Zoroark Movie) -In-game Gift (Like with Events, does PID matter, and if so, what Encounter Method?) ---In particular, the Togepi from Pokemon , with it's unique Tri Attack. -Hatching (from what I've read, Hatched can have any IV/Nature/Shiny/Ability combo, yes? If not, what's the limits?)

1: your game must already be played (preferably up to the PokeDex) for this to be doable. (even if the Editor sees it, it can't do anything without a Save initialized) 2: Apparently, more recent(-ish?) copies of the game have a slightly different save signature, making it not recognizable by Cyber Save Editor. Supposedly, a fix is to be up at some time, but no one will know until that point (if it happens at all). So, buying a more recent copy simply to cheat is, at this stage, quite possibly money wasted. Also, It seems something is wrong with your attachment?

Well, wrong place to ask (this is for about the Modified Editor, NOT for help fixing your mistakes). There are places made that exist for that purpose (such as a couple groups on Facebook. They are named after PokeGen, since that's when they were started). As to your problem, looks like your Met and Egg Met data is backwards, first off. Would need to see the file itself to really tell though.

Hm... I hadn't tried it before, but I can't get PKHeX to import any of my *.pkm files from Pokegen... It just says "Attempted to convert previous genation Pokemon. Conversion Failed."(Wanting to get the Event Arceus' into Gen VI, and too lazy to want to Transport) Edit: I managed anyways, thanks to PikaEdit! Loaded the file in there, saved in .pkx, then cleaned up in PKHeX.

Got it. Well, good thing I've started testing then! Not sure how far in I'll go, but will bring out what I do.
-
Then, do you already know which one affects which item, tops, bottoms, shoes? If so, could you explain which is which? Not trying to be a hassle, it's just that's why I've been asking about it in the first place, other than Hair Color and Hat they aren't labeled... and it's taking a while to test them all. (I ended up totally invisible! It was kinda cool, a floating hat...)
-
Ah, I see. That does make sense. What about the others? Do they at least cover all the appearance options?
-
Ah, I see. That does make it difficult. I'll need to see if maybe some of those problems were fixed in the last update and I just didn't check... What about the other clothes options? Could you list which is which? Also, I notice one is grayed out and can't be changed... why? (I was really looking forward to total control on outfits...)
-
I can see that. I can't think of much that it doesn't already do! However, there is still the problem with various edits resulting in a "Corrupt Save" error, mostly with editing certain Trainer-related data, editing Event Flags, and (at least sometimes?) Wonder Card data (though those were identified as being caused by Cyber's Editor, at least to some extent?), as well as not having full control over the Outfit selections/removal yet. Hm, on that thought, is it possible to add the effects that are normally only set temporarily in Trainer Promo videos? I don't think you'd see much difference even if so, but just came to mind so I'm asking.
-
That may be, if you don't have something that actually helps or a real question, there's really no point in knowingly wasting space with meaningless comments. The update will come when it does, and that's it. That said, it would be nice if we had any kind of estimated timeframe for when that will be, to help calm the mob...?
-
Yep. In the new Pokemon online world: LEGAL DOES MATTER. If you are going to Gen, do it properly. So looking forward to the next PKHeX update... >_<
-
That does make sense, that there is a difference in those with the updates already applied to the cartridge, so they are treated differently. That aside, is there any time frame to plan on for the next PKHeX update? I'm curious to try out some of the other features working!
-
If you are getting it new, that won't matter, you can't insert a save until it has one to start with. If it has a save, then you're already set.
-
What would you do with the Save file in the first place? It wouldn't do you any good to insert into a non-JP cartridge, since the program checks the CARTRIDGE ID, then just reads the save. You can't skip the need to import a JP cart. Really, just play the games legit. Cheating in these games doesn't really help you do anything you can't already do on your own legally anyways (breeding for the Perfect Pokemon is SO much easier, with guides made to help you along, OR even people that will take requests to do it for you!), and every item can be obtained in-game if it's meant to be obtained in the first place (or trade for, if it's an X/Y-exclusive MegaStone). If you are looking to Gen a certain Pokemon, there are groups that exist for the purpose of doing that for you then trading it to you. If you are wanting an Impossible Pokemon (ie: unreleased, illegal Form, etc) then definitely not worth the time, since there is Legality Checks on certain parts of online play (not all, but not worth dealing with) and it just makes people hate you as "cheating scum" (or whatever the current hater term is now) when you use Wonder Guard Volcanion/Mega Mewtwo and such.
-
That has been answered to death... If you got a new JP game, then yes, you need a JP 3DS. When you buy one, you can get it bundled with Smash Bros. 4 3DS as well (coming out this week). Importing has more perks than just this cheat method.
-
Hm... so your problem was fixed when you changed your OS Language settings? I hadn't thought of that... I have mine set to Japanese Locale, but with English standard (So almost everything appears in English, but it treats things and can type in Japanese). I wonder if there is a connection?

Something I've been wondering: People with that no-detection problem... You are using a Japanese cartridge, with a save from that game (not ported from another game), and have all updates for both system and game? I really don't see it likely a cause, but I can just as easily believe that any of those could be variables for the problem (like people wanting to hack their system, making for a slightly different save format or something, I dunno; the smallest things are known to make big differences in unexpected ways when it comes to data...) Also, these are Japanese games bought new (not used) from trusted sites (only one I personally trust is PlayAsia)?
