Actually yes, im doing one for my future hackrom (Pokémon Ashinyngray) but most of the important changes are listed in the documents above for download and as i said before, i will be updating this list everytime there are new worthy ideas. Most of the other changes i have written are focused in making the game more complete; such as placing stronger NPC´s, editing evolution ways, some sprite editing, adding pokemon which the original rom lacked in locations that fits them and other stuff. If you need any ideas just PM me.
  2. The main purpose here is to improve all pokémon who need it, through the Editing of moves, abilities and typing combinations by doing minor changes on each pokémon. This will upgrade the usage and battling potential of those pokemon proportionally. Already good pokemon will also be improved (in a non-broken way of course) by giving them new roles or perfecting their skills with things they still lacked. These changes will ensure a whole new and more balanced metagame while at the same time making it more unpredictable and diverse. Another plus is the fact of a dramatical size reduction in tiers. This thread will be use to discuss the fixes i already did for many pokemon so far and to point out any mistakes ive made, or things i might have overlooked when it comes down to making them fair playable and of course to contribute with new ideas (as im runing out of them) for pokemon who still need to be fixed. Another important purpose of this project is to serve as an standard metagame for any Modified Roms who chooses to use it, which will save up time so you can center more in other rom editing areas, but also to bring the competitive aspect of the game into modified roms as well. Just a few extra easy rules to follow here; Be Polite. Use logic when suggesting something. Example; A pokemon with no arms shouldnt be able to learn any punching moves or either have an abilitie such as Iron Fist, unless of course it´s pokedex entry info suggests otherwise. If you can also run down calculations in order to be more accurate. You can also use real world logic if you know what the pokemon is based of or if it fits its theme. Example; Kangaskhan=Kangaroo=Well known Puncher= Iron Fist+Elemental Punches. Or Unown=Unpredictable=Moody+Assist+Metronome+Accupressure. Make sure of using spoilers if you are going to place a large list or something alike. If you dont agree with something, be sure to let us know the reasons behind it. One last hopeful thing, if GF staff ever sees this, they may use various pokémon updates from here to fix some of them. They have done it in the past, so why not later? and you can see proof of this in some of the threads/videos i utilized to pick up some ideas in the credits. I´ll add people or any other materials that helped this project to the credits below here. I have come to think of this because they both share several things; They´re both from Hoenn, Both We´re very timid, both Have a Roselia and Flygon (both roselia´s share Magical leaf in their movepools) both Wally & Drew are major characters to the R/S/E sagas and their teams central pokemons seems to be green color focused, aditionally both also share very similar character design. Now that i said all this and you already know the differences between both characters, what do you think? could he be Drew´s In-Game/Manga counterpart? or would Wally just be the inspiration for the making of Drew?
  5. Hello Everyone! Im writting this cause i know that this has something to do with rom editing but im not 100% sure if it should and can be placed in these area of the forum, which is why i have come here in the first place to ask this. The general idea for my post is to make a thread on how to fix many pokemon that are not up to the standards of the actual BW metagame (i already fixed A LOT of them), by making them good trough Typing, Ability and move editing (of course using logic for each change). This also at the same time creates a whole new and more balanced metagame in which almost every pokemon is highly popular or at least has potential to play in OU. This will also serve as an standard list of use for all pokemon rom modifiers to be able to include in their roms and at the same time serving as a modified metagame for all those who chooses to use these changes, as all of the pokemon are competitively fixed in a non-broken way. But there are still many pokemon that needs to be fix, as im short already in ideas and this thread will also serve to help in that purpose for the ones remaining, or to discuss the matters of such. So does this go over Rom Editing Ideas Thread or should it go somewhere else? or neither of them? Also, has anyone found out how to edit egg moves? As you said in the first placed this will aid people who dislikes the whole narc process or don´t fully understand it, it will also sometimes be better to save up sometime, so i say hell yeah ! as i voted that i agree with it. Programmers are meant to make users life easier, aswell as their own ! LOL.

  8. Would asking someone like netalzero or any other a faster way? LOL but i understand anyway its good to learn ...On the other hand Egg Move and tutor Moves Editing YAY where the heck are they located if you dont mind me asking?
  9. Thanks for the tip, i normally do narc file editing but since rom editing is so much faster its easier so i use it sometimes n_n

This is Really Needed as Aragornbird also pointed out, since it´s troublesome to use the method suggested be Aragornbird everytime you edit somethin previously to using your tools, i got an error message because of that when i was going to use the ingame trade editor since i had previously moded my rom with Netalzero´s Wild Pokemon Editor.

That´s the same message i was getting (but in spanish since my windows is in it) but since he added rom support ive been using it from there and it generates no problems so far, so use rom support instead of narc file editing and you should be fine. Just in case if someone is using TwistedFatal´s in-game editor it crashes if you have used wild editor before it, however it works fine if the process it´s done backwards in v1.0.4c ill download V1.0.5 and check if the problem remains there since i believe its the same issue with Kazowar´s B/W Trainer Editor. Anyway i´ll notify this there aswell if it´s not already in there.

Ive also been using that program lately but still lacks a few adjustments i think, TwistedFatal is working a bit on them, so for now i wouldnt use it to edit holding item ratios with 100% safety. and o yeah good suggetions aswell Andibad ! i forgot those too ^^ ...for the rare edit pokemon that andibad mentioned i think its exactly what you said and it does require scrypting, on the other hand theres already a tool someone made for ingame trades editing i think it was pedro250 the one who did it, its called 5 gen evolution editor, it also lets you edit the evolution ways as the name suggests. Edit: Got confuse ray over the editors , the one that it´s supposed to do that is twistedfatals Ingame Trade Editor, sorry for the mistake n_n
  13. Yeah thanks a lot its working like a charm n_n. Oh btw i forgot to mention just in case that my windows 7 is 32 bit just in case. And another little suggestion; *Relic Castle Maze End 1* should be Chamber Entrance and *Relic Castle Maze End 2* should be Volcarona´s Room/Chamber ...if im not mistaken. I guess then you should later aim for this next things to update your program; Cool Features for Future Updates - Add White Forest Grass Patch Editing - Add Wild Pokemon Holding Item Editing - Add Roaming Pokemon Feature I mean if everything goes well and you get all the info i think the narc for holding item ratio its already out there but gotta look for that, i don´t remember where i saw it really.
  14. maybe if you overwritte everything in the same narc you´ll get it lolz i didn´t know we were supposed to make a new narc file to keep the changes though it could be overwritten in the same file LOL...well adding the txt as i said will keep anyone else from doing the same mistake when managing it from narc file. Edit: with the new rom support you added im having no trouble or bugs when editing also route 10 and village bridge shows up ok now n_n.

As i said before i had the first version and i was trying to modify rufflet to appear on the same routes he normally appears on white but for black instead, so i maded the changes of like 8 or 10 slots to add rufflet and braviary to where they appear, but after that i entered here and downloaded the newest version and tried to keep changing the narc to my will and then i noticed the route 10 has only the cave pokemon and the villadge bridge lacked the other grass patches, all this having the error i mentioned since the first version and that´s about it. ps: i didnt change victory road F1, i changed the route; OUTSIDE VICTORY ROAD ! since there rufflet also appears.

I edited the post to be more exact since i was editing as you were posting. - For the error to be reproduce i just loaded the narc and then selected Village Bridge and when i click on generate it shows up after that, as simple as that, i can still modify it but the error pops up before doing it. - My narc was a clean narc it has only been modify by your program here´s my narc file ; anyway route 10 needs to be fix since its mess up anyway ! 6..rar

Ive been running the older version of the program and so far i have found only one error that pops up whenever i load Village Bridge and route 10 (which is mess up now) to add rufflet there and when it pops up it tells me if i want to continue or close it. If i chose to continue in village bridge after that only shows shaking grass spots...sorry for not uploading the error image as is in spanish ps: im running win 7 aswell. Ill download the new one and report if the error is still there ! and dont apologize for updating so much, on the contrary that´s great Edit: The errors still shows in the lastest version the screenie here; and the actual info here on Route 10; http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Unova_Route_10, another thing the changes i maded in both versions were not kept in the any of both versions, except in Victory Road which is the only other route i have work in so far. I´ll report other errors if i find any !!
  20. LOL that´s good news n_n but also consider to add the txt file aswell and even maybe adding the nitro explorer in the downloadable file but since you are going to add ROM support i guess the nitro explorer will not be so needed then. Anyway thanks again for your hard and quick work
  21. lol i noticed it when i went to try them and i was like WTF? but now i see the reason hahaha anyway its what i suppose aswell ! but i guess i will have to wait for that since im a bit lazy lately cuz my emulator is crashing now don´t know why, so i been testing things on my flash cart and it takes more time that way. Anyway im already aware on how to edit everything else you mentioned so far, just let me know what you find about it if you can n_n

Thanks ! i been trying it and everything and seems pretty nice in my Eur Version ...also looking forward for pokemon swarming and roaming pokemon aswell, but i guess you still need that info to proceed there, let´s hope andibad can get the info quick Also instead of placing restrictions why not emphazize in making the user more aware of the info on how to work the program around cuz those lil letters down in the window are not so noticeable, maybe making them Big Red Blooded and within movement will attract the attention of the user before, or even placing a link in there to a thread and also a txt file maybe helpful n_n
  23. got it, but i was really interested in this to add some new learneable moves for many pokemon but thank you anyway guys, so i guess ill have to wait or research a bit more the codes and everything else and check if anyone has info about this for fith gen then since it wont be possible to make it in 4th gen then !
  24. um...this is GREAT and now is when i get to see it lol...a little suggestion if no ones said before, adding a tutor move editor and the pokemon who learn each move might be useful, this way to make some pokemon learn another moves aside from the 22 that almost all get from their levels and also to help and avoid having to edit egg moves or HM to get the desireable moves. For a clearer idea what i mean is making Each of the tutors (or just one of them) be able to teach your pokemon more moves available to then they dont normally have and etc PS: Just in case you don´t add this feature can someone tell me where to locate the tutors narc to modify them?
