  1. I seem to be having some problems with 5 gen Pokemon as well. I bred a few that I wanted to use, then popped them in pokesav to give them EV's, moves, and items. Those are the only three things I edited. After editing the newly hatched lvl 1 Pokemon I leveled them all up with rare candies in game. Out of the 5 Pokemon I edited 2 do not pass the checks at the GTS. I simply cannot figure out why since each Pokemon was treated the same, they all have legit movesets as well. If anyone could provide some insight into what I did wrong or how I fix it I would appreciate it. EDIT: Taking my Haxorus to the Name Rater fixed that problem. The same solution did not work for my Cofagrigus though. I checked if the PID (that the game made) matched the gender and ability just in case, they do. What could possibly be wrong with it? cofagrigus.pkm
  2. I just discovered your program today and I had a few questions. Does your program normalize trash bytes or will i still have to use trashbytes.exe? Does it apply the proper hidden hex values for each version? Finally regarding the code section, is that only for when I generate an AR code or will I have to do that even if I load my save file into pokegen? Thanks for your work on this program and thanks for any answers you can give.
  3. Thanks for this, works great so far. The only problem I have with it is that I can't expand the window at all, nothing major just kind of annoying. Lol EDIT: Oh and the Start GTS button doesn't turn into a Stop GTS button like the DNS button does.
  4. Great, thanks again. Oh but do you have any idea about the abilities? Is there a place the lists which one is ability 1 and ability 2?
  5. Okay first of all, is there a guide to what types of PIDs should be used for each generation? (Type 1, type 2, etc) The Legality Guide doesn't mention anything about this. Secondly if a Pokemon has two abilities, how do I know which one is ability 1 and ability 2? Do sites like Serebii and Bulbapedia list them in the correct order? Lastly I made four Pokemon using the legality guide, legal.exe shows them as being fine. Three were Hatched and one was Common NDS (A-B-C-D). Could someone please look them over in Pokesav though? Check things the legality guide doesn't mention, and even things it does mention just in case. Things I really want checks/things I might have screwed up on: -The hex values. Not sure I used the correct ones for each game. -The PID types. Not sure which types are used in each gen or game. -The correct ability for the PID Please be as thorough as possible and thank you so much to whoever does check them over. kyogre.pkm toxicroak.pkm aerodactyl.pkm blissey.pkm
  6. Would you happen to know what types the other gens need to be? Oh and do you mean all Pokemon caught in a 4th Gen game (d/p/p/hg/ss) or do you mean the Pokemon that came out in d/p/p? Thanks for the quick answer btw.
  7. This question has been answered for me in this thread: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?9002-Where-am-I-going-wrong I used the wrong PID type, works fine when I try a type 1 PID. This is the new one, can someone please check it to make sure I did it right this time? kyogre2.pkm
  8. The Legality Guide mentions nothing about types in each gen, is there a guide to this somewhere? Also do all Pokemon from Gen 4 have to be type 1 or just Legendaries?
  9. Yeah that's what I thought. Any idea why it's saying that and what can I do to fix it?
  10. Could someone please check these four Pokemon I made using the Legality Guide? I'm pretty sure three of them are but I'm not so sure about Kyogre. Thanks. kyogre.pkm blissey2.pkm aerodactyl.pkm toxicroak.pkm
  11. No, I get it. You don't seem to be understanding it would be easier if you just used sendpkm to send a Pokemon to that other game instead of having him deposit something, then swap it with another Pokemon. Your method is something we would have been doing if this GTS was created before sendpkm, since it came after though this method is a novelty.
  12. It's cool and all but pretty pointless since you could have just used sendpkm on each game for the same effect. Less steps and easier. @Tritlo I wasn't saying it was a bad thing, it's pretty useful for checking IVs and Secret IDs. I was just checking to see if I missed something.
  13. No, I meant a full summary of all the Pokemon currently in the GTS and all Pokemon currently wanted. And if it's true there is no search function, how would people actually use it then? Without a search function the only use it has is to convert Pokemon on your game to Pkm files on the computer.
  14. @M@T Using your GTS is there a way to see a summary of what Pokemon are currently in and what Pokemon are currently wanted? It would be great to use this to run a request GTS. People could deposit anything and seek something, then I could whip it up in Pokesav and send it out to em. Oh and thanks for this program, it works great.
  15. So basically you're working on a way to transfer Pokemon from the DS to the computer? Man that would be really great to find out secret IDs for people that don't own flash carts.
  16. Ah yes, now that I look at the code I can see different colors used for success/fail. The printout just made it seem like a fail since one of the programs posted here had that printout as an error. And yes, I was using my DS on the same network to test it out. So that would explain why it didn't work for me. Guess I'll have to have someone else test it for me. Thanks for the fast help.
  17. Alright I cannot seem to get this to work for me, not sure exactly what the problem is. I forwarded port 53 properly but when I start the dns server it says, "DNS server started on 0.0.0.0:53" Any clue how to fix this? Also could you tell me, step by step, what exactly I need to do? First I start up sendpkm with a pkm file, then the DNS server? Any help would be appreciated.
  18. I've gone through the thread and several programs and scripts have been posted that do similar things. Sendpkm worked for me from the start, so I use that for myself. I do want to send Pokemon to friends though, without having to send it to myself and trade, of course. So would anyone be kind enough to tell me which of the things in this thread, or any other, is the best/most successful way to send pkm files across the internet?
  19. Oh right, because the game picks which set of 3 Pokemon you encounter on each walk? Also damn, beat by one day.
  20. Something in my mind clicked today. The Pokewalker and the HG/SS game carts use infrared to communicate, my laptop has an infrared port. So shouldn't it be possible to have the game cart communicate with a program on my computer that emulates the Pokewalker? Some benefits I can think of off the top of my head: -Ability to use the Pokewalker without leaving the safety of your basement. -Could program the emulator to just give you massive amounts of watts to make unlocking later courses easier. -Might be able to chose which Pokemon/items you find on your walk. As I know nothing about how the cart and the Pokewalker communicate or how infrared works I'm not positive this is even possible. Maybe someone more knowledgeable about these things could pass along some helpful information or start working on a simple program by themselves.
