  1. Hmm. Would these actually be illegal as PKHeX shows, or is it a false error type of deal?

    PKHeX Error

Even though I am using hardware (actual GBA + legit copy of the game)?
  3. I went through the English & Japanese event pages to put some Pokémon onto my Emerald cartridge (shown below). For Chansey, I get, "Ability does not match PID." For Zangoose, Seviper, and Milotic, I get the other image below. Why is that?

  5. So, I checked the RTC stuff after replacing the cartridge batteries. In the RTC section, I see the below photo for one of them. Does that mean the game was started 909 days ago? Also, on a new Emerald save, should I import it to PKHeX and do the Berry Fix or do I not need to worry about that?
  6. I have 2 Emerald Versions with old saves from childhood. Am I able to see the exact day/month/year I actually started the save? Thank you.
  7. Any updates since?
  8. 3yrs later....so that was a lie, haha. Nah, but any update?
  9. I'm not sure of the answer to the OP, but he did explain clearly, lol...
  10. Anytime! I know it sucks when people reply with all types of BS except an actual answer, so there ya go, haha. (and yes, I understand they want people to research things, but c'mon, guys)
  11. This is a note I wrote back in 2020, so I don't know if anything has changed, but in the Batch Editor box, you can use: =Box=1 .Country=18 .ConsoleRegion=1 Which would be Canada. USA would change from "18" to "49." At least back when I first wrote that note...Then change the box number each time you run it if you need to.
  12. Looks like PKHeX was released 9-10hrs after this reply and seems to have this event now. Sweet.
  13. Requesting both untouched Pokémon from:
  14. Oh wow, thank you so much! _______________________________ ¡Muchas gracias!
  15. EDIT: Huge shoutout to @ERNESTO JG! Ones I am looking for: Hatterene, Grimmsnarl and Blissey from this event. Scizor, Hydreigon and Blissey from this event. Gimmighoul from this event. Chesnaught, with the Rock Tera type, Great Tusk, & Iron Treads from this event. Chesnaught, with the Rock Tera type, Walking Wake, & Iron Leaves from this event.
  16. Strange, but gotcha. Yeah, at least make sure you have a backup of the Pokémon on a computer and then back that up as well. Literal history.
  17. I want to take this patch here: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/5842/ and simply swap the title screen to the Japanese one. When the patch is made, it gives the .gbc file in the attached file. EDIT 4hrs later: So, I found an offset for the title screen at 98000, which got me the photo below...that's about as much help I can be for a starting point. silver.gbc
  18. If I change the 45 catch rate, though, wouldn't that make it illegal in Gen 1 at least? I'm not sure why PKHeX mentions Gen 2 if I pick the Gen 1 games anyway (I assume since they can trade together, but eh). Since it's definitely a 45 catch rate regardless. Regarding the Mega Drain part, I manually put that there with PKHeX since it was highlighted green. I thought the green meant it was fine to put onto Kabuto and stay legal. Would it be hard to code something within PKHeX so that for Gen 1 games, it only lists Gen 1 moves it can actually have from Gen 1 itself (and the other Gens that do this)? The catch rate is 45 is Gens 1 and 2 either way, though, so I'm still confused on changing the rate if it's 45 in either Gen1/2 games. Basically, I'm confused since even if it's a Kabuto in Gen 2 and you did give it a a Bitter Berry or whatever, at the end of the day, the catch rate is still 45 in Gen 2 so I don't know why having it as 45 in Gen 1 (how it legally is obtained anyway) makes the error happen. Know what I mean? Sorry if I'm explaining this poorly, just woke up. How do legally-obtained Gen 1 Kabuto get traded to Gen 2 then on the cartridges anyway? Still 45. EDIT: Just found this reply by you touching on the same topic and I noticed you said, "Catch Rates are modified when transferred to Gen2," but in this case, Kabuto's catch rate is 45 in both Gens? https://projectpokemon.org/home/forums/topic/57375-pkhex-new-update-legality-errors-contribution-page/?do=findComment&comment=269388 I'm thinking the optimal thing to do would get rid of the green highlighted moves if that particular move can't be learned in the Gen it is from or something.
  19. Can't seem to find a pk1 file on the site for this?
  20. EDIT: Seems to do with certain moves on multiple Pokémon, which wants me to ask....why are the moves highlighted in green even an option if it makes this error happen? Hi, not sure why this Kabuto is showing as illegal. I downloaded it from the in-game Downloads section on this site and loaded it onto my Green Version (that is using an English translation patch). 0140 - KABUTOPS - 9BF2.pk1
  21. Hi. So, I found a "one-to-one" (as they're calling it) Green Version patch that basically translates the game to English. Info can be found here (not sure if linking this is allowed) - https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=492958. To patch the English Version of Green, you have to use the correct USA/EUR version of Blue with the SHA value of D7037C83E1AE5B39BDE3C30787637BA1D4C48CE2, which I did. I have my cart flasher, the correctly-patched .BPS English Green Version.gb file, and my original Japanese Green SAV file. Basically, I want to put my Japanese backup SAV on the translated English patch. The problem I am running into is: It keeps saying the save file was destroyed (attached below) when I overwrite the fresh English SAV with the original Japanese one and load up the English version of the game. Can this be fixed? I also attached the SAV files. I assume it has to do with the language differences... POKEMON GREEN_ENG.sav POKEMON GREEN_JAP.sav
  22. Same with the one I linked, no need to take shell off. I actually didn't even know there were readers out there where you need to do that, haha
