  1. Maybe you're missed something, either in what you're telling us or what you've seen. So far: 1. Caught 3 Ralts and 3 Lotad on Japanese Emerald Using Ralts as an example, the 3 names are: ラルトス (unnicknamed), R A L T S , R a l t s (last 2 using native keyboard on Japanese Emerald) 2. Traded them to English Emerald. (names can also be seen here) 3. Pal Parked up 4. And in PKHeX.. As expected, they're all seen as JPN. Anyhow I doubt what you've said is a 'Mew-centric' mechanic.. It is to be noted that I do not think a language tag exists for Gen 4.. EDIT: Also looking deeper into your post, you probably just *thought* it was English. Language tags only started existing in summary screens in Gen 6. To be certain it isn't in English, you'll notice the spaces between letters are wider, and/or the letters are bigger. Japanese 'English font' versus Standard English Font (Not too mention, there is probably another issue; if you changed the nickname via PKHeX, it is likely you used the wrong font, if you didn't know that Japanese Gen 3-Gen 5 Roman character fonts are different from English games.. But I'm not going to throw that accusation out there just yet. More of an 'extra info' kinda thing for other readers) IN SUMMARY: Pal Park doesn't change your 'language of origin' when shifted upwards, even if your nickname matched Species name. You probably didn't know that language tags don't exist until Gen 6. And didn't notice the differences in font displayed.

Fell free to use PKHeX to edit what you want... Hope this can help somebody... PS: sorry for the bad english... Im not fluent

  3. Thanks again @theSLAYER I just moved it to Bank and it does have the JPN tag. Sorry for the confusion this thread might have caused. I hope you can see where I was confused myself with the info I read. But I got my little blue boy safe and sound now

  4. That is excellent news then! I actually didn't try moving up to Bank yet and then onto a Gen 6 game because I was under the assumption that gen 4 and gen 5 games has language tags from what I have read online but of course not everything we read online is true. As for the nickname thing, I only used the letters available on my Japanese emerald cart. The Mew didn't go thru PKHex and tbh I'm ignorant as to how to use PKHex lol so nothing of that nature. Just me misinterpreting some info. What I read was that they introduced different language pokedex entries and I have the link for the info I found. And with this it made me believe that I was supposed to see language tags starting in gen 4 https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Foreign_Pokédex_entry#:~:text=Foreign Pokédex entries are a,Pokémon in nine different languages.

  5. Upon (a much later) investigation, Ruby/Sapphire has a "bug" (that was not fixed in 1.1, but was fixed in Emerald) that didn't do the &7 loop for picking a valid strain. Future commits/releases will be adjusted to allow strain 0/8.

  6. Fair enough, I'd love it if you took it on and got some confirmation for it, so thanks for looking into it. I'm scratching my head and definitely dont want to burn more money on Japanese B2/W2 if I don't need to

Amazing. A program that can drive even the most successful Pokemon YouTubers to madness. 10/10 will never host for blaines again.
