I'm sorry you had a bad experience with another person taking advantage of your work, and I can understand why you wouldn't want that to happen again. That sounds incredibly traumatizing, and I wouldn't be surprised if it had stopped you from developing entirely. However, the edits I had in mind were:
- Removing the dark type from Seviper
- Changing its abilities
- Giving it the ability to learn any TM/HM.

I randomized a different hack and wanted to port the randomized Seviper from there to here.

I'm not interested in doing anything with your work other than playing it with that change in mind. Ultimately, you have decided not to allow me to do so, and it's unreasonable for me to expect you to do it yourself, so I simply have to go and enjoy a different hack.

I was simply expressing disappointment, because I found your hack otherwise very enjoyable. I am fully willing to admit many faults, and praise much of your ability, and I have in my posts. You didn't need to be condescending, it's a pokemon game from 2009.

Nothing in the post was condescending, if anything it's just a straight to the point answer. Everything was already said and you are mad at me for not meeting your expectations and that's fine I cannot blame you. Just so you know, it's in the plans to allow adding a cheat password allowing any mon to learn any TM/HM. Removing Dark-type can be achieved by toggling vanilla mode. For everything else I cannot do much for you I'm afraid...

Lol are you seriously mad that a MODDER doesn't let you edit his mod? It's his version, he can do whatever he wants with it, you are not entitled to have your desires catered for. How about you pester Chunsoft about how scandalous they won't give your their dev tools so you can edit their game? See how stupid it sounds?

Am I supposed to have the Veil and the Gracideas in my inventory or in storage because I can only hold 38 things in vanilla difficulty and I have 68 Gracideas in storage.

You don't have a limit of 38 items in Vanilla, you have two ultimate items in bag. Have a bag full of Gracideas with one Purify Veil.

Hi i have a question soo i did altar of dreams right i went two times and completed and no creselia fight, currently im doing scyzor quest i got into the deoxys fight but dint recruit them i guess i gotta back a second time? Idk it was kinda meh cause i only had to use my two starters only the first time which i dint like tbh but i guess its for the game fun anyways its that normal do i have to wait or have sum to make creselia appear?

Go to the Altar of Dreams with no mission taken maybe, just like in main game.

As for Deoxys recruitment, it's normal for it to behave that way. Just like base game you don't recruit Mesprit after the first fight, or Dialga or Regigigas.

Hi, I am also having a similar issue.  I completed Bidoof's wish but can't seem to unlock Jirachi's dungeon in main game.  I also went back and recruited deoxys, but failed to unlock the dungeon for eternatus.  i've done dozens of missions since, still can't unlock them.  Also looking for reason why I can't find gliscor in the future area (already beat that special episode as well). Is there something I am missing?  Fantastic rom hack by the way!

Edit:  I found you already answered the eternatus question, so nvm on that one!.  Still wondering about the others though, and if there is any advice for the marshadow unlock

Starglow Cavern: RNG unlock, has a password unlock in 3.1 but for now it doesn't

Gliscor: as the post states, it appears when you unlock Destiny Tower

Mount Tensei unlock: Illuminate mons

Hi thanks for answering my creselia question but i have another issue and its about shinies to be more specific milotic and feebas i went to the bottomless sea and milotic dint appear at 39 also i wento to surronded sea feebas appesrs in the recruit thingy but it only spawns closter soo idk if its a bug or sum i play on drastic the game last version runs on it pretty well

People always found shinies where they are supposed to be so I guess you just didn't spawn one

Yo! First of all, props to the creator this crack is a blast. I tried a run with purple kec and beldum and the difficulty curve is crazy. Got through the main story and everything.

There are some things that I am unsure as to why they mightbe occuring. I have not had the cutscene with scizor talking about the world treasures. I instead got the locations unlocked from talking to npcs in the spinda cafe like in vanilla. That started happening getting the secret rank like normal. Any ideas? Scizor is nowhere to be found in treasure time or the guild either and wiglytuff just has the usual team raider dealogue. I have befriended both palkia and dialga, the later of which before i actually beat darkrai. The passage of time is still unavailable, so idk.

I've just recruited cresselia in the altar of dreams and unlocked a dungeon from that.

Is there anything that might have missed?

(PS for science i made a savestate, released dialga and recruited him again in temporal tower, however i just recruited him again, nothing was unlocked afterwards that i became aware of)

Scizor arc starts 3 mission days after Marine Resort

Passage of Time is unlocked by clearing Special Episode 5

That is what I'm saying. I've played for way over those 3 days and no cutscene. Should I have been able to recieve the missins of the treasures by talking to npcs in the spinda café? I feel that might have been a bug.

There's no bug as everyone has been able to trigger the scenario consistently after doing 3 MISSION DAYS, 3 normal days doesn't work. I don't know what exactly is different in your case otherwise as it worked for everyone. You don't receive this quest by talking to an NPC, the scenario proceeds automatically.

Haay! Thanks a BUNCH for making this! I could literally write a few pages of text about all the little things, and big things, you've done that I think are neat. I'm not sure that'd be fun to read, and you, of all people, know all those details better than anyone. ^-^ So, Yeah! Had to make an account to tell 'ya that, and to share some of the workarounds I've found for some of the odd behavior or bugs I've run into.

 

First off, I love playing with full randomizer on. I've completed the base game and several other story type hacks before, and I enjoy the strange, adjacent difficulty it provides. Random minibosses in the form of legendaries being on a floor's spawn list, reviver seeds becoming the only way I have to restore PP without guaranteed max elixers in certain dungeons- let alone apples. (Also I love the Solorun 'challenge' as a quality of life option for me, specifically xD) I also am using DraStic on an android to play this. 

I mention this because I occasionally run into some odd glitches. Things like the Outlaw Job Board being permanently empty, all jobs having bugged out descriptions such as repeating "save my kid!" repeating and overlapping the jobs below them, all items in a dungeon looking like differently colored 'thorns' and having a stack size of (0) [hilariously leading to multiple items in your inventory 'collapsing' into a single stack of 0 when sorted], cutscenes or after action reports following a job completion leading to a black screen crash, and a single time I had a monster house that spawned Executor and Ariados. Not usually strange, I understand; except that these two, instead of playing their usual animations, would randomly swap color palettes, sprites, and rotate like some cursed copypasta game.

I personally find these amazing and amusing. However, not everyone does, and luckily, I've got a workaround that might help! I mean, it's always helped me, but again, I'm using a specific emulator on android and full random all the time. Anyways, whenever I see anything that indicates some kinda messed up internal calculations, I do this:

1. Save the game. Quicksave if I'm in a dungeon.

2. Go to the emulator menu and reset the game. Think of turning a physical DS on and off with the power switch. Note: Simply exiting or killing the application did not work, only resetting the game from within the program.

3. Load the saved game. Not an emulator save state or quicksave state, those remember the bugged out numbers.

4. Watch as the Job Lists function, all those 'thorns' become regular items right in front of your eyes, and there cease to be horrible multi-headed psychic spider-trees spinning like slow-motion tops. <_<

 

I hope all that helps! And, if I had time in my own busy life, I'd try my hand at making those sprites and portraits for 'ya. Thanks again!

Glad you like the game! I wonder how did you get this memory leak thingy though? I thought I fixed it all the way back in 3.0.1's revision

Hi, relatively new to this rom hack (and really enjoying it!), and have a question about evolution of the starter pokemon. I've reached the point where in the base game, the starters would be able to evolve, and had a comment from Ursaring about how Luminous Spring has changed, but I am still unable to evolve them. In addition to this, the Marowak on the beach is no longer there, so I cannot do the one-time dungeon. I was just wondering whether there was anything I am missing in regards to being able to evolve my starter pokemon?

Known bug unfortunately, it will be fixed in the next version

I have no idea? I've been trying to figure out if there are any triggers on my end. I do have several other applications running at the same time due to having a folding phone, so perhaps straining its resources; or maybe DraStic has a problem under stress that can cause it? If you can think of a place I can look to find out, I'll gladly let 'ya know.

Oh, actually, is there a way to check which patch I have currently? I'm pretty sure Ive got the latest, 3.0.3, as I downloaded it last month, but you never know.

That explains why I couldn't change Hgrowliths typing or ability 

I was going to give it solid rock or another typing to not be 4x weak to earth because kid me remembers that earth quacke and power are scary moves (and rock head is pmuch unless since it only gets headsch and flareblitz after level 50 and both of those have low pp but that might get solved by the new grinseng system)

And the rock item only protects agenst steel and the fire and arcanine items agenst water wich i don't care about because finneon is my partner (wich i would have also liked to already be fairy type but i to my understanding you can get evos earlier so thats probably not a big deal)

Maybe I'll just switch to normal growlith or just be a bit more careful

Also I lowered my difficulty during the bidoof special episode (just to learn work up 1 level later wich trivialised the whole thing lol) not realising that I wouldn't be able to increase it again probably just a user error of me being sleepy but if there was no warning that you cant increase it again till postgame it might be good to add that

Other than that I really like what you have going on here

Whelp, I may have to eat my proverbial hat, I just ran into a memory leak that didn't instantly get fixed by resetting the game. Everything on the 5th floor of Revival Mountain was a glitched Spike with stack count (0), did the quicksave->Reset-Load game, and then they were glitched Thorns with stack count (0). Strange. After going up a floor it was fixed; post reset that is.

I was doing an escort with a shiny Nidoqueen, if that helps?

4x weakness is just a bit less than x2 damage in PMD

I wonder why you are getting this issue... the only way I can reproduce these is by using a Reviver Seed cheat. I'm afraid besides that I cannot see a way to fix anything as the only way to reproduce it I found was by external tools
