GracideanoHana グ Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Ok so Im wondering what makes a hacked pokemon a bad egg in PBR. I know one reason, if the IVs and EVs are too high. I want to use my Celebi, but it is hacked. I didnt IV and EV hack it and my friend used a Pokemon modifier on his Diamond and traded to me. The only thing unlegit about it is that it says that it was Apparentley met at Mt.Coronet and Lv.13" Would I still be able to use it in PBR offline?
GracideanoHana グ Posted April 16, 2009 Author Posted April 16, 2009 Ok thanks (I feel n00bish) Have you ever tried that though?
randomspot555 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 All a Bad Egg is is a result of a transfer error when copying the save file's Pokemon. I've had 100% legit Pokes get turned into a bad egg. I've heard it also checks for illegal EV distribution, but I can't find a source for that.
Delta Blast Burn Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I Don't Have PBR I'm Just Assuming Based Off Of Information From Trusted Sources
HottSushiz Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 (edited) We had a topic about this in the previous forums, with lots of ideas, and suggestions, some people say it's the Ability, or Hex number, etc although through my experience i had a Scizor, with HeatProof as the ability, but with everything else as Legal, it got through the test. Ah i have found the threads from the previous forums i can't tell which one is the correct one or they maybe all right so i suggest to check all of them >>> http://forum.pokesav.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2747&hilit=pokemon+battle+revolution&start=40 <<< >>> http://forum.pokesav.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1848&p=14525&hilit=pokemon+battle+revolution#p14525 <<< >>> http://forum.pokesav.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1892&hilit=pokemon+battle+revolution&start=20 <<< >>> http://forum.pokesav.org/search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&keywords=pokemon+battle+revolution&start=50 <<< Edited April 17, 2009 by HottSushiz Forgot something
Destati Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I remember PBR wouldn't take my Lugia once. Turned out the location information was wrong.
Jiggy-Ninja Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I've heard it also checks for illegal EV distribution, but I can't find a source for that. It does, I've had it happen to me.
Destati Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Actually, If I remember also, My Lugia had a perfect IV spread and a Bold nature... Doesn't that conflict with the algorithm thingy?
Greencat Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Usually when it has been poorly hacked and if it doesn't pass Legality Checker from Sabre, then chances are it won't go through.
GracideanoHana グ Posted April 24, 2009 Author Posted April 24, 2009 I know this sounds weird but all my Pokemon including with hacked moves worked on PBR
Concorde105 Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I dunno... My Spiritombs with Wonder Guard and definitely illegal movesets made it through. Could maybe only check EVs and location, I don't know.
Narwhal Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I have used pokémon caught with the pokémon modifier cheat and they don't turn into bad eggs, so it must be the IVs and/or the EVs.
lugialucario Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 On my diamond version, I had a lot of hacked pokemon and PBR turned bad egg into only the pokemon had more 510 EV's, my pokemon had 31 IV in all the stats aren't trouble
