GoldTrainer Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Does anyone besides me actually care about their pokemon. Ya know, kind of like how trainers in the show care about them (I know, I have a very active imagination). If so, speak up.
Mewtwo Ex Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I like my first Pokemon Sceptile [sPRITE]254[/sPRITE] more than any shiny and i would never part with it.
wraith89 Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Voice of Sentimentalism: [icon]144[/icon] from my Blue version gave me the best memories ever. It was one of the most useful Pokemon ever and I had a lot of fun with it. Although... my file is deleted along with my precious Articuno itself... Voice of Reality: But they are a bunch of digital bytes and whatnot... what do I care?

Voice of Reality: But they are a bunch of digital bytes and whatnot... what do I care? Dude, just because they are in a game, doesn't mean it is wrong to actually care about them. Sometimes its like this: Voice of Reality = BORING!!!! Anyway, I cared about my team from hoenn so much, that I reraised them in sinnoh, with the addition of a Roserade. Like I said, I have a very active imagination, so I like to pretend that the pokemon I have are actual creatures. I don't go too far with that though.
duct.tape.fairy Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 My Charizard I had in first gen, moved to second, lost when the second gen games erased. <3 Currently, I absolutely love my Empoleon, Rapidash and Luxray in Pearl.
HottSushiz Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Umm I kinda don't understand the question so I'll try my best. It has been my favorite Pokemon probably from the start since it's electric type, and it's fast. It's also awesome how if Gyarados is out, i predict a TBolt, and Jolten just heals away. I know this is usually Electivire's job..... But i prefer Jolteon.

The truth hurts, does it not? Voice of Sentimentalism: Honestly, I do feel the same though, which is why I do not use Pokesav to hack Pokemon in... which does not exactly feel the same...
(s.i.e) Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 not more then in any other game i play. i suppose i can say that they are tools to complete the game.
GoldTrainer Posted November 18, 2009 Author Posted November 18, 2009 not more then in any other game i play. i suppose i can say that they are tools to complete the game. I know it is just a game, but still, "tools to complete the game"?! Dude, thats cold.
Mewtwo Ex Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Actually he is right. Do you use your story Pokemon for competitive battles?
ssbbmaster Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Well I have two pokemon that I use and care bout the most, Gallade and Gardevior. I liked them so much, i used them through out the whole platinum game, and i beat the game with them. Infernape is also in my list,so is lucario. I can Never let go of them...
Mewtwo Ex Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I have traded my 2003 Sapphire Sceptile to all regions in all games: Ruby, FireRed, LeafGreen, Colosseum, Emerald then to and back then to Diamond a little to Pearl and next was Platinum and now is in HeartGold.
Guardna Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I love my pokemons. Binary files are so easy to manipulate...
Abiezer Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I love my Charizard from FR(still have it). From the 4th gen breeding, I have to say Gardevoir, Togekiss and my old Infernape(1st I ever bred), he still is very usable.
darklord Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 oh my god yes!!!!! i know it's creapy but when i hade my freind over to play pbr i didn't let him use some he said it was because i wanted to win but it's because i love them watching them grow up it's like being a parent you know you grow attached if you raise it a lot like my umbreion and espion i raised them together and i love them and have a very good straggly for them
Dolebiscuit Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I have to admit, I get quite attached to "baby" Pokemon, or the pre-evolutions if you prefer. They're really weak and helpless, but just the thought of the little tykes out there trying so hard to grow up to be big strong Pokemon is really touching, and adds a new level of emotion to the games for me.
Chrpica Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I like my Blue "Dream Team"- Venusaur (My first), Blastoise, Charizard, Pidgeot, Mewtwo, Mew. Luckily my Blue cartridge hasn't wiped, so I recreated my Venusaur on my Platinum and just pretend it's the same one. )
mewmart Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Great to see so many passionate Pokemon players around here. =D
randomcouchpotato Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 it would be hard to get me to part with any starter or legendary
Delta Blast Burn Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Lol.... I felt bad releasing a bidoof in diamond once.
Eon-Rider Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 I'm just going to go ahead and say it. I think it's absurd how you people are emotionally attached to data. Of course, I have favourite Pokemon but I've never that far to actually feel anything for them. For example, I use bitter medicine on my Pokemon all the time. Revival Herb is so much better than a Revive. I honestly don't care if they don't like me. You might say I'm like Paul from the anime but that's just how it is.

Well, I doubt anyone worries about them like real beings. I care about what I do on many games, because it takes a long time to get there, so it's more of a time investment I'm caring about.
randomcouchpotato Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 same here ---------- Post added at 10:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:15 AM ---------- the only reason its hard to get me to part with a legendary is because there my huge powerhouses that can take down anything this series can throw at me, i even blocked some of the checks so i could use them in the battle tower
