Also this area is for event gallery errors, not for PKHeX issues.

Sorry about that. I assumed this was the right place because I got the attached file from the event gallery. I downloaded the dev version but still no luck, I'll wait for the stable build.

No worries. Well, create a mgdb folder in the root of your PKHeX, then place the card in it. It should work until they’ve included it in the stable build

I think this is the right place. The “WC #0025 - ポケセン Pikachu (Mini & Jumbo)” isn’t guaranteed to be jumbo or mini. Just redeemed a code and it was neither…

Edit: Got another code and redeemed on second account. Also no other mark than Premier Ribbon.

You don't get Tiny/Jumbo marks automatically, you have to talk to the size checking NPC and then she gives you either mark.

I have a question regarding Gen 1 Mews. How come they have different catch rates?
I found online, that it should be 45, but some of them in the event gallery have a catch rate of 83.
It is also not clear to me, why some have the nickname box checked, while others don't.
What's interesting is that those with the nickname box checked have a catch rate of 83 and those without have 45.
Is there a way to see more information about the pk1 files? Like I've seen people talk about trash bytes. How can you look those up?

45 is the unconverted (original) catch rate value. When it is transferred to Gen2, it becomes "Bitter Berry", which is item # 83. Then transferred back to Gen1, it remains as # 83.

Nickname flag is derived from the name being unmodified, without trash bytes. Potentially they are because they have been transferred to Stadium, which can alter those bytes.

So then are we sure, the Pokémon in the Event Gallery are legit? Everything Gen 2 and above looks right, but Gen 1 seems kinda sketch, even what's been posted in the forum - at least some of them xP
I know it doesn't really matter in a game this old and without even online functionality, but it just wouldn't feel right..

I wish, I backed up my Gold save a few years ago, when it still worked. I had an event Celebi from germany (OT:JENS) but didn't have a device to do so..
Just recently I got an Epilogue GB Operator, but when I tried to backup the save, it said, that there was none.. I then put it back into my GBC and was devastated when it didn't have the "continue" option.. ;_;
