Heart Gold & Soul Silver - Good Names?

You're not getting me. There is no data fr Crystal in a sav structure for DPPT, and there has not been a third game for the Red and Green remakes Fire Red and Leaf Green. And you screwed up the pattern. It goes like Red Blue (Green in Japan) Yellow, Gold Silver Crystal, Ruby Sapphire Emerald, Fire Red Leaf Green, Diamond Pearl Platinum.

And what I don't get is why they decided to go with these names. Heart has nothing to do with gold and soul has nothing to do with silver. What is up with that?

I don't know about "Heart Gold" so much, but "Soul Silver" definitely sounds cool. In reality, however, the names don't really matter because I' going to eat these up like a fat kid would eat up a big mac.

Soul Silver was awesome, much better then Dawn Silver. But Dusk Gold sounded good. Duck Gold and Soul Silver sounds good.

If that's what they're going by, then Crystal will be called "Mind Crystal."

I'm almost 100% sure there is not going to be a Crystal remake, but if they were to call it that, it would most likely be called that because it fits into the concept of parts of the body such as heart and soul.

Funny thing is, Pokesav only shows Johto Gold and Silver, but not Crystal. I'll bet it's just like FR/LG... no third installment

That's my point. Back on topic, I've gotten used to the names and now think they sound perfect. Could have been better but now these sound better then they did before. Just needed some breaking in.

Actually, getting used to them makes them sound extremely cool. Just get used to the names, and they will seem perfect.

Now that I'm thinking more about it, I think I would have liked the names better as "Silver Soul" and "Golden Heart" just a thought. They're nice and pretty as is, but that just sounds more 'courageous' and 'Champion-like" in my mind.

Hm, well I just realized. The girls name depends on the name of the game. If it were Dusk Gold and Dawn Silver, then they would have to call the girl Dawn, which is an already occupied name. So I guess these names are better after all.

Those names weren't used in hacks, they were made up. And since I got used to these names, they do sound awesome.

I personally think Heart Gold sounds better then Soul Silver. It has this sound to it that just seems right. But the names really don't matter that much anyways, because these games will stand on gameplay alone.

I get Heart Gold, but Soul Silver refers to a pure soul, with Silver being one of the most pure metaloids.

I couldn't really care about the current names. They are official, its not like I could change them even if I didn't like them. I admit though, Soul Silver does roll of the tongue better than Heart Gold.

The one thing I'll never understand though, why were all the hacks Dusk Gold and Dawn Silver? Ho-Oh was the fire type phoenix, the rising sun, and embodiment of life, while Lugia was the psychic ryujin, the setting sun, and embodiment of death. It really should have been Dawn Gold and Dusk Silver. lol

SoulSilver sounds good but HeartGold seems to not fit together. Because Heart is Red and Gold is Gold. And for SoulSilver it fits because, usually when you imagine of a soul, you imagine a whitish-silvery colour....
