GumbyX Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Hate to be a pain, but what exactly does PokeStock do? I can't find any info on it using Google (other then this and a translation thread from last year). Sorry for going off topic.
M@T Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 That's a kind of super-complete Pokesav with lots of new functionnalities (just like the C-Gear editor). It also supports GBA games.
GumbyX Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 That's a kind of super-complete Pokesav with lots of new functionnalities (just like the C-Gear editor). It also supports GBA games. Ah ok. No wonder a translation is wanted so badly.
Codr Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I'd hate to think how bad the written data is garbled from what it should be by a program with a UI THIS bad. This may just be worse than Pokesav.
Kaphotics Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 That's what you get with visual C++ 6.0 theres some cool stuff this program does that doesn't relate to the pkm data
Codr Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 That's what you get with visual C++ 6.0 That doesn't prevent you from making a proper UI. theres some cool stuff this program does that doesn't relate to the pkm data I realize that, but it can still be done wrong.
Guested Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Does anyone at least have a version of this program with the text encoding for folders and the text files done correctly? It got corrupted, probably from a download in XP, maybe? Any links to the source?
M@T Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Does anyone at least have a version of this program with the text encoding for folders and the text files done correctly? It got corrupted, probably from a download in XP, maybe? Mine is corrupted too ; file names look like "âeâLâXâgé+é-é+é¡é¦Ä®ò¬é+ùpêËé¦éÛé¢ëµæ£é+Ägùpé¦éÛé¢éóò¹". I'm using Vista with East Asian languages support (I see Japanese characters correctly). But the programs work properly, so that's not a real problem. Any links to the source? The source is private, hence the translation problems.
Guested Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Yeah, the program works fine, and the text displays correctly for me, it's just those text files that are all corrupted. The program is easy enough to understand, but I figured I could provide more insight into things with the readme files. Yeah, I meant source as in "where it came from" not the programming source code.
Acanto Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Does anyone at least have a version of this program with the text encoding for folders and the text files done correctly? It got corrupted, probably from a download in XP, maybe? This may not be the best solution, but anyway: - Open the *.txt file with Mozilla Firefox; - Go to View -> Character Encoding -> Japanese (Shift_JIS) You will now have the text displayed correctly. EDIT http://www.motobit.com/util/charset-codepage-conversion.asp Online converter; upload the file and convert it from Shift_JIS to UTF-8.
M@T Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Yeah, I meant source as in "where it came from" not the programming source code. Oh, sorry. The download page is here : http://u1.getuploader.com/PokeStock/ The password is amu for PokeStock zip's ; not sure it works for other files.
Bond697 Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 That's what you get with visual C++ 6.0 my point in saying this was that it's annoying to plug in a translation because none of the normal tools work, not that VC++ is bad.
Kaarosu Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 This sounds like something that i can waste my free time on now that I have some again. Unless something else comes up.

paf Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 in this page this showing the applicatory ones of pokestock. http://pokeduck.web.fc2.com/PokeStock/ in the images it only recognizes each pokemon for an icon (an image of pokemon ..... this is what I want to say) that mine pokestock does not make this ..... pokemons is identified only by its names.someone that it uses this program knows as is that makes this program to recognize pokemons for the images?
Kaphotics Posted February 12, 2011 Author Posted February 12, 2011 Probably have to run it in AppLocale. I haven't tried to get the poke icons to appear in the box editor.
Kaarosu Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 (edited) The program itself doesn't come with the images, you'll have to get these on your own. Each image has to be in .jpg format and has to be 90x73 hmm lets see what else am i forgetting... oh yeah and the naming sequence you have to use is: p<dex #=""><gender><shiny>[Dex Nr][Gender][shiny].jpg So for example: A Female Bulbasaur, the file would have to be named "p001f.jpg" | A Male Bulbasaur would be "p001m.jpg" A shiny female Bulbasaur would be "p001fs.jpg" | A shiny Male Bulbasaur would be "p001ms.jpg" Someone should be kind enough to make these for those who use this tool, or i'll do it myself later on after i finish translating some more. Anyways now you know how P.S. Haven't figured out the special cases with pokemon with different forms quite yet but it should follow a similar format. Ex. Unowns would be p201[Letter][shiny].jpg </shiny></gender></dex> Edited February 13, 2011 by Kaarosu P.S. Always good
paf Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I understood. but you can make these images to be used in the program? I can help it arranging the sprites of this site: http://pokemonmythology.110mb.com/viewpage.php?page_id=71
faospark Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 is me alone, but when I try to inject Generation V Pokemon on the high Link I can not see their sprites ? they are invisible another thing there are new C-gear skins where can I download them?
Acanto Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 is me alone, but when I try to inject Generation V Pokemon on the high Link I can not see their sprites ? they are invisible That's because their sprites are not programmed in the game, it's not an error on the software's side.
faospark Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 That's because their sprites are not programmed in the game, it's not an error on the software's side. so it is organic, thanks for the info
paf Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 it has some project of translation of pokestocker?.I tried to modify the C-gear skin of mine pokemon black using the archive Piplup C-Gear Skin.zip but they do not obtained.someome that obtained can post me step by step as to change it skin will C-gear? I only receive this message C-gear skin dates has been lost!
Kaphotics Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=T9HMSDYU All of the pics of the Pokemon to make the dex/box editor look prettier. There's another zip that has the small ones but it's passworded. @paf, we know it won't save the C-Gear skin. We have to wait for a program update that fixes it.
paf Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 thank you!they do not exist pics for the arceus with plates?somebody has the .txt archives of the folder pokemain translated?
AllyKat Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I will keep an eye on this program for English updates. The Black City editor is my main concern. It would save a lot of effort. It would also be GREAT if there was a Action Replay code for the Black City/White Forest!!
