Can’t edit Pokémon Colosseum starter Pokémon? I am using PKHeX on my PC and all I want to do is change my starter Pokémon Espeon and Umbreon’s natures to Timid and Calm. For some reason, when I simply do that in PKHeX, it gives it the red triangle icon with the explanation point in the middle, and says it’s “illegal”… I have no idea why just changing the nature would make it illegal. Any idea why this is happening and what I can do to fix this issue?

This is a save file I statred as a kid. However over time it became ...a "save file bank"...were I would store pokemon from other games. The game has not been beat and is only at the thrid gym but has not beaten it yet. Yet this save files has a lot of great things. -a good amount of shiny pokemon - All the pokemon from pokemon colosseum - Not all but a good amount of the pokemon you can get from Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness -Lots of Ribbon pokemon ( great for a Ribbion master challenge) - Lots of sercet bases of other players all over the map ( have fun finding them all and battling them) Note: I guessing I used a game shark on this as a kid with a freind...like why is there a level 4 mewtwo on here lol....but It kind of just addeds to the charm of the old save file lol Enjoy !!! -
So I had never played Colosseum before and didn't realize how early you could start snagging Pokemon. I assumed there'd be a tutorial or something. SO I missed the Johto starter from the peon I battled in Phenac. Can't remember the name but it was the one w/Croconaw. I went into PKHeX, managed to generate a legitimate Croc and placed it in the PC. Upon loading the game again I noticed that "Snagged Pokemon" did not account for the Croconaw I generated and this concerned me as I read you need to have caught and purified all 48 shadow Pokemon as part of the criteria for catching Ho-Oh at Mt. Battle. My question is, does the game check total snagged Pokemon or total purified Pokemon for this criteria? I read all other shadow Pokemon I missed are obtainable again, but from what I've gathered the Johto starter you first battle is no longer obtainable if not caught in the Phenac peon battle. Will I have to start the game again? Thanks in advance.

Thanks to @Baegislash for helping me convert my German Colosseum save to NTSC, I was able to do the E-reader battles again and make save states. Here is a set of North American Colosseum E-reader shadow Pokemon save states. The OT name has been changed to PPorg and the TID/SID have been changed to all 0's. So you'll have to import your own data and Pokeballs if you want something outside of the standard Pokeball. You will also need to import your own Pokemon as I cleared mine.- 1 comment

Thanks to @Baegislash for helping me convert my German Colosseum save to NTSC, I was able to do the E-reader battles again and make save states. Baegislash was able to convert them back to PAL and after a little testing, they're working just fine. Here is a set of European Colosseum E-reader shadow Pokemon save states. The OT name has been changed to PPorg and the TID/SID have been changed to all 0's. So you'll have to import your own data and Pokeballs if you want something outside of the standard Pokeball. You will also need to import your own Pokemon as I cleared mine. * I used the Colosseum/XD save editor to change the saves into every language. All the German saves have been labeled French and vice versa. From my experiences, that program is unreliable and the options are actually backwards.-

Hello readers! About a year ago I found on an archived Geocities Page linked via a strange Pokemon forum a zip file which contained a readme, and a strange binary file called colbtl.bin that is to be used to replace Pokemon Colosseum NTSC-U's copy with a program, that instead of GBA trading over the link cable, flashes any region of RS with a self-contained save file that is expanded. The gba displays info with a splash screen, while the Gamecube appears to fail the trade. I have painstakingly dumped this save file via FIX94's tool. You need to extract this zip file, grab colbtl.bin, put it into a Legit US (or possibly British/Aussie) Colosseum ISO (using GCISOTOOL, GCISOREBUILDER, or GCMTool, maybe wiiscrubber), and replace the file. You also need a way of loading the iso, so either PSO, XenoGC, Wode Jukebox, Swiss, Nintendont, Devolution, Wiikey/Wasp Fusion, QOOB, or other loaders/chips. No actual Nintendo rom code is in the zip file, all of it was freely given as public domain by an ancient hacking group. I suspect FIX94's PokeLoad Gamecube HB exploit for Colosseum and GoD, would be able to allow a talented GC hacker to make some sort of .dol executable on a memcard, that has Ralf@gc-forever's Colosseum Codes for enabling, farming, and Swapping the Ageto Celebi Event out for a selection of events, or allow them to hex it in, along with patching and loading colbtl.bin from the card's dol to trick Colosseum into flashing duplicate saves. There is no current way to set the save file in the colbtl.bin file. Hopefully some data can be found so that the data can be swapped like how Decchi.bin has swappable wondercards. Here is the zip, which also has my personal save file. That one has the word current in the filename. colbtlsv.zip
