Hi there! I am planning to use Pokesav to re-EV some of my Pokémon (they're level 100). I am aware that editing them will make their trash bytes come up as hacked if they're a hatched, Pal Parked or event Pokémon. I’d love to be able to edit them and fix their trash bytes afterwards. Sabresite's trash byte normalizer looks like just what I'd need, however I can't get it (or the legality checker) to work. When I save a Pokémon file, drag and drop it over either the tb normalizer or the legality checker I get this: http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/Sim9/shot1.jpg Clicking ok creates this weird file as seen here, above trashbytes.exe (seviper.pkm): http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/Sim9/shot2.jpg I can't seem to do anything with that file. If I try to open the file, I get this: http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/Sim9/shot3.jpg I'm aware that it’s possible to edit a Pokémon’s trash bytes in a hex editor, but I can’t find where 0x48 to 0x5D (where the trash bytes are) are here: http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/Sim9/shot4.jpg (By the way, the Seviper in the Pokémon file hasn’t been modified in any way. It’s Pal Parked from Emerald.) I have searched all over the internet, these forums and Project Pokémon’s site, but have not been able to find anything which solves my problems. The ideal for me would be to be able to edit my Pokémon on Pokesav and be able to fix their trash bytes afterwards, preferably via a trash byte normalizer, or otherwise via a hex editor. Would anyone be able to help me? Sim

I am wondering where one can download the Trash Byte Normalizer mentioned in Greencat's Pokemon Legality Guide. I've asked about it a few times before, but I did not get any replies yet so I felt I'd just make a topic. EDIT: I found it. This thread can be locked.

I downloaded Legit.exe but when I try to check Pokemon it doesn't do anything. It just always says "Press the ENTER key to exit..." Also where can I download the trash byte normalizer? Everyone said you could get it on the main site but I can't find it anywhere. Is it even necessary if I'm making hatched Pokemon? I know I can nickname/renickname back to original name but what if I want it to have a nickname?

Coded in VB.Net Originally made because Sabresite wouldn't release his, I decided to dig it up and add more languages and Platinum support. Thanks to Codemonkey85 and Jiggy-Ninja for some help. NOTE: Platinum Trash Bytes will be shown as Invalid in Legality Checker! Checking support will be added later (hopefully) Korean pokemon show up as invalid in Legality Checker, but they also show up as invalid if you use Sabresite's normalizer. I recommend using http://www.casiopia.net/PokeMod/TrashBytes.zip for DP pokemon, as it has a batch function, but this program supports both DP and Pt. Games/Languages Supported: DP: English, Japanese, Korean, French, Italian, German, Spanish Pt: English, Japanese If you would like other languages added, and have a ROM (hopefully you obtained it legally), a Flashcart (Or a SAV backup device) and a GBA pokemon game. PM me Tell me what you think. Tell me if you find any bugs Trash Byte Fixer.exe

k, so as you can probably tell im trying to create legal pokemon. But i hit a typical wall...I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING! So the purpose of this thread is to create a "dummies" guide to the three programs above, so that everyone (including myself) can create and edit better pokemon. Depending on the usefulness of the guide, this thread may even be stickied! Note: The guide you are posting must try and: -be simple enough for someone with basic computer knowledge to understand -have a step by step format on how to use it properly -acronym meanings in brackets -include examples -troubleshooting( based on the most common and easily fixable issues) (moderators**you may add and edit this first post if i forgot something) Thanks
