Friend Code (Nintendo Switch)

Friend Code (3DS)

NNID (Wii U)

1. E-card trainer editor is fully done, seems to work well. Aparently you can't make trainer pokemon shiny (I used a-save's pid generation tool to test, male/female pid worked). Everything can be edited. The only detail is that the Pokemon and moves words from the easy chat system apparently don't follow the same logic as all the other categories, so those words are basically broken right now. Which tool did you use to decompress the raw files? EDIT: ok, nedcenc is the tool Could you explain the merge process a little more? Getting raw into savs is really interesting. Also, the regi dolls present probably has the ROM code somewhere in it, meaning it can probably be easily modified for other regions... but for what I've seen what it does is send a script to RS, then it gets executed in the mnistery event screen and kills itself when it's done doing its job. Also, I've looked a little into it and the trainer structure is easily found in the decompressed vpk from a trainer card (using Team Fail's tool to extract it). The only difference is that it doesn't have the checksum in the vpk file (I guess it's because the vpk itself has a checksum for its data?). With Team Fail's tool making a save with a custom trainer is really easy (still needs hex editing though). I may add a export as decompressed vpk button by using an already decompressed vpk file as "template" to make the process easier. May including a decompressed vpk file in the program infringe copyright? Also, for the one asking about conversion to dotcodes: in caithsith page you can read the following: - Nintendo E-Reader dotcode bin maker - A tool to make a set of Nintendo E-Reader dotcode bin files, given a vpk file. Source code is included - VBA 1.7.2 e-reader: this VBA can load either bin or raw files. When loading bin files you will be prompted to save it as a raw dotcode. EDIT: for bin<-> raw conversion there's nedcenc.exe As you can see raw dotcodes can already be generated, the process is not as difficult. With a couple batch files it's a matter of drag and drop (compress vpk -> convert to bin -> load in vba to save as raw)
2. Yeah, sorry. I thought it was like the Eon Ticket e-Card ect. were you get a Script. I didn't knew at the moment that it works different... suloku informed me about it already. Thx a bunch for your save files and all the stuff!
3. Well, if you could just transfer the Regi dolls to a different save. If I'm not mistaken, I was able to scan the cards into that save twice. I only scanned in each one, one time. It might be possible to scan in 2-3 Regi dolls of each if you want. I never tried. I'd be more than happy to share anything and everything I have. I just have absolutely no idea how I could possibly go about doing so. The Regi dolls are simple as can be. (If I'm not mistaken.) You scan them in. Hit A on the one you want to transfer. Then just hit A on the Ruby/Sapphire save and you game should receive them. Once again, I think the berry is the exact same way if I'm not mistaken. Scan the berry and hit A, then hit A on Ruby. That terrible video I showed before shows the video from the Ruby perspective (Slightly) and an HD view of the E-reader perspective.
4. That's really interesting. I still don't know how to create the scripts... but well, I'm only interested in modifying event scripts to re-create them if necessary, and making a give item, give egg and give pokemon scripts for wondercard usage (configurable in the editor). Morfeo's regi dolls script might be interesting too, since the decorations are stored elswere, but it's probably just the command used in-game to give decorations. Btw, I've went and added a decoration inventory editor to my tool since a-save didn't have one: http://puu.sh/oF3Bo/93e0c088c1.png Current status of editor: http://puu.sh/oF3CV/15c8fb860b.png There's an option to fix checksums and another one to enable mistery gift/event flags (for the lazy people). I'm gonna work on the .ect (e-Card Trainers) editor. It seems the berry one (.ecb for e-Card Berries) will need further investigation, trainer card is all documented so easy to code. EDIT: ect editor is progressing fine: http://puu.sh/oFk84/c2cd0ac038.png Implementing the easy chat system words was a pain.
5. @suloku That should work. Well, a while ago I made this. It's a script to reset the clock. Unfortunately it doesn't really do what I wanted. I just wanted to be able to change the current ingame time, but if you set the clock with this script (it was actually taken from the clock in the players room) you will start from day 0 again. This script is based on the e-Card script, so you have to talk to Norman. The first script is how it looked like in the ROM after compiling. The second script is how it should look like in the script region to actually work, you have to use virtual commands there instead of the regular ones. It seems these virtual commands are not even supported by script editors, so you have to compile with the regular commands first and exchange them manually afterwards. Here's a list of commands http://www.pokecommunity.com/showpost.php?p=7562756&postcount=24063 #org 0x874011E '----------------------------------- msgbox 0x8740136 ' It seems your clock ... callstd MSG_NOCLOSE ' Non-closing message call 0x874012E releaseall end #org 0x87412E '----------------------------------- fadescreen FADEOUT_BLACK special 0x9A waitspecial return #org 0x8740136 = It seems your clock is stopped...\nYou should reset it now! #org 0x61 '----------------------------------- setvirtualaddress 0x2000061 lock faceplayer virtualmsgbox 0x200007F waitmsg waitkeypress virtualcall 0x2000077 releaseall end #org 0x2000077 '----------------------------------- fadescreen FADEOUT_BLACK special 0x9A waitspecial return #org 0x200007F = It seems your clock is stopped...\nYou should reset it now! It can be injected into EU/US Ruby/Sapphire with this AR code. USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, this sets the day count back to 0!
6. But aren't there battle e-cards for Fire Red and Leaf Green? That would require mistery event, not mistery gift: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_Battle_e_FireRed_%26_LeafGreen
7. I think one of the goals is to release converted dot codes of the Japan-only cards for English, Spanish, French, German and Italian games that can be scanned on an English e-Reader.
8. Oh? Well there you go, right after I posted that. I'll give it a try. Nevermind, can't get the save file to work with sram-patched rom for some reason. Works fine with any other game or even other eReader saves (I did it with Eon Ticket a long time ago and it worked like a charm.) It works fine in emulator. What are we trying to do, anyway? What kind of info are we trying to gather? Wasn't it said earlier that the Regi doll e-card just added them directly to your inventory? So if we want to re-create that with this mystery gift tool, we can just have it add the dolls to your inventory directly and wouldn't it have the same effect?
9. Even though the e-Reader doesn't store the Regi Dolls into the save file, you can actually store them there by save hacking. Team Fail did this with his tool for e-Reader Trainers [GEN 3] e-Reader Event Injection Basically you have to decompress the raw e-Card and extract the VPK from it. Unfortunately his tool doesn't support multi-strip VPKs so it can't be used for the Regi-Dolls. I was able to do all that manually, I used his tool for checksum fixing though. I attached the Japanese Berryfix as well. Both tested and working!
10. Last screen tells you to connect both e-Reader and Ruby/Sapphire via link cable and then choose Mystery Events. Did you make sure to have Ruby as P1 and the eReader as P2? Or maybe that thread was wrong, and e-Reader needs to be P1 while Ruby has to be P2. If you can't upload a save file, then would you mind uploading the raw card? I asked for save file partially because I was too lazy to get the card myself and scan it in the emulator, but then it turns out I can't find the raw card either, lol. If you need to figure out the Mystery Gift flag for Japanese FR/LG, I can save before activating Mystery Gift, and then save after activating it, and upload both save files here so you can compare and maybe figure out the offsets. Here, if it can help. First is without Mystery Gift enabled, second is right afterwards, with Mystery Gift enabled.
11. I seem to be stuck with the regi dolls promotional card. I've tried using this emulator: https://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?42433-RELEASE-VBA-LINK-E-READER E-reader raw code reading works. Cable linking works. But I don't seem to be able to transfer anything to japanesse ruby. Here are some screenshots, if someone knows japanesse or can describe how to transfer the dolls: Message after scanning the card: http://puu.sh/oEJpA/44e54bb529.png After pressing A once: http://puu.sh/oEJq8/a857314ec3.png After pressing A again: http://puu.sh/oEJqA/a3312fef80.png I thought at the last screen I could connect trough mistery event (japanesse rom and save) to get the doll, but nothing happens. BTW, I think I should go step by step, since trainer seems to be easier than berry. I'd also like to auto-detect japanesse saves...but this might be difficult.
12. So guys, this is the exact data that gets injected into the save file by using the e-cards! I extracted them months ago. Berry e-Cards will additionally set variable 0x402D to 1 so you could get the Berry from Norman. The script for that is not included in the Berries, this is already in the ROM. Even though this script exists and is working in Emerald, I wasn't able to find where the Berry data should go. Save Offsets Berries Section 4 RS 0x2E0 E unknown Trainers Section 0 RS 0x498 E 0xBEC FRLG 0x4A0 RAM Offsets Berries EU/US RS 0x02028894 E unknown JP RS 0x020285F4 E unknwon Trainers EU/US RS 0x0202533C E 0x02025640 FRLG 0x02024A28 JP RS 0x0202509C E 0x020252E4 FRLG 0x02024988
13. We would like to create an Trainer Editor. So they could be pretty useful. Also we could make those Japanese exclusive e-Card Trainers available for the other languages.
14. I've found the file with the USA e-reader saves + the 4 japanese ones: http://filetrip.net/gba-downloads/game-saves/download-gba-e-reader-cards-for-pokemon-ruby-sapphire-1-0-f30353.html Also, from the looks of it, it seems the japanese e-cards dotcodes are dumped, I just can't find any file trough google: https://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?42433-RELEASE-VBA-LINK-E-READER Maybe the dolls and berry cards are there too. EDIT: there's a link here with the jap e-cards! https://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?46216-GEN-3-e-Reader-Event-Injection&p=205898&viewfull=1#post205898 They are all battle cards for the looks of it. No signs of berry cards or regi dolls cards. Was something else other than trainer e-cards released for the japanesse emerald/FRLG? EDIT 2: Google search "no-intro gba e-cards" led me to a file "Nintendo - Game Boy Advance (e-Cards).zip" with a compilation of all dumped e-cards, usa and jap. It holds the raw files for "08-O001" promotional card, which corresponds to the doll gift. Japanesse berries are probably also there too. Gonna see if I can scan them trough emulator, I'm not sure how that works (I guess the scan dotcode function to load the raw file is all that's needed).
15. Ah... really? OK sorry I didn't knew that. In this case it would be cool if we have a dump of the data from this e-Card. I have a bunch of e-Card (RAW) files but I think it's not in my collection, I would have noticed...
16. @HaxAras thank you very much for the saves! I've been thinking and I remembered that when a e-card is read, a program is stored in the e-reader, then you use that program to transfer the mistery event to the savefile. So, it would be far more interesting to have the saves from the e-reader that have scanned the cards (if you are willing to share them), as that would allows to use vba-link (or my boy in android) to actually enable the event. I've checked my files and I have a file with a collection of e-reader saves from the USA e-reader cards, including 48 numbered battle-e trainer cards + 6 more trainers , 6 berries (chilan, drash, eggant, nutpea, pumpkin and strib) and a lot of cards that I think had minigames for the e-reader (aquapolis, expedition and skyridge cards). It also has 4 japanesse trainer saves. I don't know if japanesse saves for e-reader are available (probably, but I can't find them); it would be very interesting to have the saves for at least the dolls and japanesse berries. EDIT: here are the USA e-reader saves, I don't know were the file I have with 4 japanese cards came from: http://ereader.kiczek.com/ The point is it seems the dolls don't have any script, the card just puts them in the inventory. Morfeo probably made a giveitem script that would check if the dolls were owned as a way to give them only a single time.
17. I don't know about the berries yet. I still haven't tested them. I could do it after work tomorrow but I don't have any more Ruby saves to mess with. If anybody has a Ruby save with the Mystery Gift activated, I could just write it to my Japanese cart and scan in the dolls and one of the berries. EDIT: I have all of these things. I'm a collector though. Maybe I'm a rare case here? A collector as well a seeker of knowledge. Though, I think it's safe to say. Unlike most collectors, I value knowledge FAR more that some BS trade value. You asked for it, here it is! http://www.mediafire.com/download/jnj32tps25oggtm/JapanesePokemonRubyNutpea.sav A Japanese Pokemon Ruby that has had the Nutpea Berry scanned in! You talk to Norman and he gives you the berry. As for a save before and after the Mystery Gift. You should be able to use the previous save I uploaded (with the Decoration Present) as the before file and this one as the after. I have every one of the English E-cards and a decent stack of the Japanese ones so if there's anything more I can do to help in any way, please let me know. I will do my best. http://i.imgur.com/PzCEFzS.png This is interesting. I've been wondering what would happen if you scanned in a Japan exclusive E-reader berry into a Japanese game and wrote the save to an English cart. Apparently this happens. Nutpea isn't Japan exclusive but this is still interesting to me. I just loaded up the Japanese save in VBA to make sure it was the right save and I'm incredibly glad I did.
18. Edit: I was viewing this video: It is obviously a wc hack (even though he claims it is from a legit nintenso event...) that uses the givepkm script command. What bothers me is that the card is sent by another trainer, but the received card can't be sent. I wonder if there is some kind of share counter byte or it's simply a part of the video. A wc that can be shared only on original device would be great for distribution to other gba trough wireless adapter. EDIT2: I've found it: adding 0x40 instead of 0x80 to the color/distribution byte makes it shareable, but receivers can't share the WC. Also, I've been wondering how the wc that give pokemon get marked as used, since the ticket ones check for the item and event flag for that.k Wonder card news editor is already coded and fully working. It was almost the same code as the normal wc editor, so I thought I might put it already in the editor. I guess next comes mistery event for rs/e, would be interesting to see what happens on non-jap emerald when script from r/s is injected (probably nothing as flags are probably different) That would be the source of the mistik ticket hack probably? UPDATE: I've been playing a little with WC news and comparing the save before and after sending the news. Some data was written to the 4 bytes that go after the mistery gift survey words (which is stored 0x28 bytes after wc data). I haven't checked this region after sending wondercards, but seems related to this in some way. Maybe it's just some kind of statistics of how many trainers you have connected to.
19. I made the tough decision to exclude the checkmark for the German Eon Ticket from the list today. The reason for this is that I'm 100% sure that the data we have is not identical to the one that was distributed in Europe. And since we want to have only real distributed Events I think it doesn't makes sense to have it in the list. However since it's a working Script we could still use it in some way in the Tool. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and that I had to make this choice. Also I made changes when it comes to the English Eon Ticket, which I now have separated into 3 versions. The Eon Ticket that was distributed in America, the e-Card Eon Ticket Version and the Eon Ticket that was distributed in Europe. In this case however we still have the e-Card version... Which would count as an official Event and would be "legit" in all English game versions.
20. You really want to do it? Cool. You could also wait if there are more people who would work together and send you their cartridges... Well let's see what we need... Eon Ticket RS: French, Italian, Spanish Aurora Ticket FRLG: English Emerald: French, German, Italian, Spanish Not necessary but if your friend has an English Ruby or Sapphire Game it would be cool if that could be send as well. Because we have an English Eon Ticket, but just the e-Card Version. I would like to see if the one from the distribution device is identical. For the Emerald Aurora Ticket. I think this is the most tough one... 4 games... The most important is actually the Spanish one again. If we're lucky I might be able to reconstruct the other ones. Would be cool to get all of them tho', since that's the only way we could ensure 100% that they're legit.
21. Oh my bad. User that found EON TICKET thought it was Italian, but it was from US e-Card.
22. I don't know the reason. I just read that somewhere, but I can't recall where that was. I'll search it. Maybe .ect for e-Card Trainers and .ecb for e-Card Berries? Or since they are Mystery Events .met and meb? By the way, I already dumped all the data for Trainers and Berries from the saves. They currently have the .bin extension, but once you decided for an extension I can rename and upload them.
23. You want the editor to recreate the missing WCs, that's something that can be done with an hex editor (there are not that many missing WCs) using another WC from the same region, and of course we would have to think something that identifies them as recreated (probably changing the ID/background color is more than enough). Recreating the official cards via hex editing is way quicker than a full editor, and with full editor I mean something that can give you any item, any pokemon, trainer card, berries... etc. That's why my priority would be a way to dump/inject and preserve official events, then comes all the non-released stuff imho. Also, I don't know java (which would be great do to multi-platform), so an editor would be done in c#. In fact, since BlackShark already posted the offsets, the dumper/injector is trivial. I'll add support for all those. WC3 file structure will be WC+Deliverymanscript (.wc3) mistery event structure will be script+item (.me3) wc news (.wcn) still thinking extensions for e-trainer card and e-berry. EDIT: @BlackShark, Mistery event script in emerald is bigger (84 bytes), any reason for that or just nintendo things? I'm still reading the thread.
24. I will send these later to you. But the problem is that we might never be able to collect all of them and with those I dumped alone we're not able to support all of the game versions. And even if we have all of them, we couldn't support all of the games. That's why the scripts I posted are so important. So I think an Wonder Card Editor should be on top of the list... I can give you the alpha version of lostaddicts's tool if needed. It's not working yet and just UI, but it can give you a feeling about what we would like to have for a Tool. You can also see pictures of it in the Thread... The official Wonder Cards we already have you can see on the list in the first post... A lot of them are still missing like the UK, the French and the Spanish Aurora Tickets for example. We have an UK one that was downloaded by gldsun on Emerald but the FireRed one would have been more important so it's a pity we don't have this one... Btw. one thing I always forgot to ask you guys... I think there's a chance that we might be able to get the french Aurora Ticket. As you can see in this video, he has one downloaded on his french LeafGreen version. It would be cool if someone could ask gldsun if he could dump a save file for us. In Ruby & Sapphire the very first receiver (who received it at an Event or via e-Card Reader) gets the Ticket from the father in Petalburg City. Just like BlackShark already mentioned the Scripts gets terminated by a killscript command at the end of the Script when the text ends. So after saving the game 2 times the Script is lost forever... The "Mixing Record"-feature works differently, there's a counter for it and everyone you mix records with (when you're the 1st Player) receives one after mixing records. This works as long as the counter falls to 0.
25. @suloku These are all the offsets used by the Mystery Gift and Mystery Event features.
