Right. That works better. But if they're using like, Pinsir, don't say use Scizor instead? Or get rid of Sandslash use Excadrill. (like everyone telling me to get rid of Braviary or Ninetales) Get my drift? But suggesting something that can aid a team is no problem. But again, this whole "metagame" thing is subjective. Half the time I remember in Wifi I'd see Luxrays everywhere, you know? Simulator metagame =/= what regular people use.

OUing the place up? Don't even think about it. Remember, if they are adamant about their personal favourites, look for its strengths, not who outclasses it or does the job better. Unless, of course, they're using banned Pokemon like Unown or Magikarp or Weedle and the likes, you know?

Remember, simulator metagame isn't always the same as what others play in. If they're around a circle of friends or just random casual players, there are all sorts of different Pokemon used. Going for the absolute best or giving every team Excadrill just kills the game. But you do know what can be viable threats; you can address them.

They're pretty chill in general. Like the in-between people (like you). At least that's what I've been observing.

In here you find people too high up (not giving names) and the commoners (too many to mention). It's scattered all over the place.

Not to say that place doesn't have that too, but here I find the division more noticeable.

Isn't that the community with the stupid NO NECROPOSTING? Oh wait no that's PC (read: Politically Correct)

Ugh. My house had a brief blackout so everything went BOOM. Now I'm back. But I spent the day outside since the weather actually turned bright and sunny and stuff.

(Found this pic online... kinda cute rendition of the monkeys... and I don't really like them much. Simisage is the coolest IMO, Simisage is like the fun dude, and Simipour is a transvestite or something... possibly metro like that Cress dude)

Yeah IRC bot is like that. If you write ...................... or ?????????????????? or stuff like that (well those do get annoying but sometimes people do it) it auto kicks you. It had nothing to do with the B/White thingy. I feel there needs to be a specification on that or whatnot otherwise it promotes unnecessary ire. I remember I can sometimes ".............." and it kicks me for some dumb reason. Whatever tl;dr: Bot's a noob Closing this since question answered

Don't run Naive. Period. You're KOing your intended targets, but to trade 1 tyrant 500 miles away for 500 tyrants 1 mile away... whoops wrong line. Er, to trade the power against your other opponents for one guy isn't worth doing. Also, that calculation was from a TIMID Hydreigon, you'd NEVER beat it in speed and lose out on your + Atk nature, meaning you'd do EVEN LESS DAMAGE ANYWAYS. Just get a generic Hydreigon check and you're set.

Currently making a mean Lilligant set.

but...

Life Orb 252 SpA Surf Timid Hydreigon vs your Arcanine: 95.4% - 112.7%

LO 252 SpA Draco Meteor vs your Arcanine: 105.1% - 123.8%

Without LO:

80.8% - 95.4% from Draco Meteor

73.7% - 86.7% from Surf

Don't fight Hydreigons unless they are considerably weakened @_@

I do calcs too just to make sure.

Don't use HP. They're really weak and only for intended W4 targets. Arcanine is normally with LO to ensure the KOs on stuff, but I always put bulk in it. I usually sacrifice speed, however. But the Arcanine you're using works well, only because it is KOing its INTENDED targets and will switch out to ones it cannot deal with.

I will say though beware of Surfing Jellicents, especially when you have prior damage.

About Infernape, only reason why it's taking "little" is because of the lack of 2x modifiers. All the other Pokemon are weak to something, but still survive it. They're more bulkier though, and if they were not weak to it, they'd take something like what Milotic takes from CC and stuff.

Overall, what I have to say is, Arcanine was never what you call frail. It gets 2HKOd by some STAB Super Effective moves (don't expect a 3HKO unless it's Gyarados or something with low powered STAB moves), but dealing with its so-called counters was always its forte. Just watch out though, you're not OHKOing stuff without a 4x effectiveness on anything.

In the end, it matters who became Intimidated or who didn't.

Scald vs Arcanine: 63.4% - 74.8%

Close Combat vs 248/212 Def Relaxed Swampert: 21.3% - 25.3%

Flare Blitz vs Swampert: 15.9% - 18.9%

Wild Charge vs Swampert: 0%

Surf from that same Swampert: 65% - 77%

Earthquake from that Swampert: 72.1% - 85.1%

After Intimidate: 47.7% - 56.9%

Both carry Leftovers. I guess we do have some hard counters.

After Intimidate: 68.8% - 81.8%

Mind you, this is JOLLY, not Adamant. I imagine Adamant will be even scarier. Since EQ is not STAB, it will be 66% as effective.

Scald from Jellicent: 65% - 77%

A Surf would probably OHKO with Rocks... but this 72 SpA Modest (my Jellicent). But since that's not everyone else, you're golden.

Though, mind you this is the one with some investment. I didn't do the 252 HP/252 SpDef ones because that's retarded, but I imagine that's going down.

63.2% - 74.9% with Close Combat vs 4 HP Heatran. No I didn't think that'd OHKO

Earth Power from Heatran: 71.5% - 84.6%

After the Close Combat drops: 107.3% - 126.3%

46.1% - 55.3% from - 1 (Intimidate). Awesome!

95.1% - 112.4% with Wild Charge, nearly guaranteed.

52 Atk OHKOs? I'm in doubt here unless you're switching in and all. 192 HP EVs are mentioned everywhere else for some reason, though these people put 252 Atk in and the rest in speed. Of course, I don't know anything else about it. I'm going to do some checking, hang on.

I should tell you that Arcanine never really died in a flick of a finger. It was always somewhat bulky in my opinion, especially with Intimidate.

However, you didn't say OHKO on some of them, but rather "I can deal with them" kinda thing. Well, I'm going to see.
