<p><p><p><p><p><p>The reader is actually supposed to gain something from it. It's not meant to answer everything, but rather ask questions, which I think stories should do. The reader, who probably hates crows because they're "savages" would grow to respect them because they're intelligent and, if they weren't around (like other carrion eaters like vultures and crocodiles) the disease spread rate would be doubled or even tripled. By the end, the reader probably has to think about the consequences of rebellion, since rebellion is usually portrayed in a positive light. Themes are roles (society), rebellion, morality, etc.</p></p></p></p></p></p>
