I have the same problem as two posters above with Yungoos caught in Inlet Grotto showing up as unable to match encounter from origin game. My game version is Violet. Changing it to level 3 legalizes it, so it might be a problem with level 2 spawns. Paldea Tauros with an Intense Mark caught in "East Province (Area One) (1)" and Rolycoly with an Uncommon Mark caught in East Province (Area Three) showing up as invalid marks. It seems like Rolycoly might be getting indexed to East Province (Area Two) which doesn't look like a correct spawn location according to Serebii. 837 - Rolycoly - AA229A47E212.pk9128-01 - Tauros - 3718DE9671EE.pk9

looking for: Gen 4 event daisuki club shinx gts
ICanSnake replied to shinx_love's topic in Saves - Research
Shin Shinx and the rest of the Shinx were distributed between March 28 to April 3, 2009 as said on Bulbapedia. The met date on the Shinx are all March 17, 2009 because they were all prepared beforehand. One of my focuses for research are the GTS 2009 events, more information on my research is helped by a friend and posted as an article on his site. https://www.pokemonhistorian.com/daisukigts/daisuki-goes-platinum/ -
Yep, that is the cloning method I use for BDSP and it works perfectly. The only requirement for banning clones is that it needs to be the only one in your game at the time. If you trade, you don't have it anymore, but you can reload a backup save where you still have it and the backup save hasn't realized it's been traded yet and it's still tradeable. It does count as cloning, but since it's tradeable many people wouldn't know it's cloned.

Incorrectly transfered from previous generation
ICanSnake replied to LeCaillouBleu's topic in Pokémon Legality
Here are many Cacturnes I donated thanks to the help of one of my contacts. https://github.com/projectpokemon/EventsGallery/tree/master/Released/Gen 3/ENG/Pokémon Center New York/Monster Week In the folder labeled "Post-event redemptions" are Cacturnes that were generated from the official hardware but did not come from the event location/years. -
Incorrectly transfered from previous generation
ICanSnake replied to LeCaillouBleu's topic in Pokémon Legality
If you're trying to recreate a PCNY event, please don't. Just use the public ones that are hosted on the event gallery. Normally, to fix incorrectly transferred from previous generation errors, you would click on the Latest (not OT) Handler box to make it green, but it shows you did that in the OP. Remember that anything transferred through Home into gen 8 must have a Home Tracker value, that could be an issue. But from the pictures we can't see if this specific Cacturne has an illegal flag or not, so it could be simply a matter of setting it back into the box. -
The second pa8 shows an error flag, you might not have seen it normally but to see this hold Control and Right Click on the Cleffa to see what is causing the error. The normal way of checking the error flag won't work because PKHeX autofixes minor details before determining legality, but Control + Right Click bypasses the autofix. In this case it says the Height and Weight values don't match, so you should just be able to Set it again and resave the pa8 to trade to the bot.

I haven't seen this thread before, but I have a question. All the uploads in the OP have a friendship value of 0... Isn't that concerning? Despite the suspicious maximum contest stats in each field for every upload as well, I'm pretty sure all Pokemon are supposed to be caught with their default base happiness/friendship value. I have a feeling these were all modified...

Is there any way to recover this old Platinum save?
ICanSnake replied to captaingrovyle's topic in Saves - Editing Help
This isn't a valid save file. The file size should be 512 KB, not 512 bytes. I'm not sure what went wrong with the way you extracted it, but are you able to try a different method? Personally I use TWL Save Tool to extract gen 4 saves. If you find your correct 512 KB size save file and it still doesn't load into PKHeX, I recommend opening them up in a hex editor and finding your main save file (between 0x000000 and 0x00E000) or your backup save file (between 0x00E000 and 0x01C000) and either switching them around or copying them into a known working save file. This will allow you to see if the backup save still works in your current save file, or if you place them into a new save file you can see if either of your saves work. -
I downloaded your pk8 and changed the game versions between Sword and Shield. Both are legal. Is your PKHeX up to date? Make sure you're not touching the Battle Version dropdown.

Most likely before the waterfall, as I assume it's a spawn delay from Route 223. Same thing happened with wild area strong encounters.

Mantyke caught with met location Pokemon League showing as illegal. No modifications, I exported my save file and saw this error. I caught it fully stock. Odd because not even Serebii says this is a valid met location. 458 - Mantyke - 43D4FB6D272D.pb8

Right, but I mean I was trying to say the OP's Rayquaza is also illegal for a different reason too. The Home OT changed in gen 8, but the gen 7 version is modified from the original illegal version. Does that make sense? It was not proofed for me, it was proofed for someone I know (broccoliYT -> Flareblitz13, Flare is the person I know). I asked her how her Rayquaza looked like since she was given it straight from the redeemer, but IIRC her's also has the error flag (I asked in 2017 when I traded for this from someone else, I might be misremembering). I do believe the proof is fake as well, the redeemer took pictures of these redemptions but traded Flare a genned Rayquaza that looks similar to the one in the pictures. So it may be what you said, but it applies to her. Is that correct? Let me know if I am misguided or if I should take this to a different thread, I have questioned both versions of this Rayquaza for years and my result was that they were both faked.

I have the same Rayquaza, and it was redeemed in KOR language. But I have a question about this specific Rayquaza too. I traded for this Rayquaza on February 17, 2017 (the date my file says it was created). My version of this Rayquaza has an invalid OT memory flag, which to my understanding shouldn't happen, and from what I have researched tells me that the Rayquaza was genned in a gen 6 save file. The person who redeemed this Rayquaza has a history of genning other events, and they were banned by /r/pokemontrades for trading self-obtained hacks. The problem, is this Rayquaza has full picture redemption proof and it was redeemed for someone I know. I have always assumed that the legal versions of this Rayquaza were fixed from the illegal ones (illegal original, legal modified), because it would make less sense if it was the other way around. This is not the first time I have seen the same event have both legal and illegal versions solely due to OT memory errors. Is it possible for you to give your own opinion? Thanks. Here are the proof pictures that belong to this Rayquaza: https://imgur.com/a/yvII5 Back in 2017, I asked the person it was proofed for (Flare) about this Rayquaza, and she couldn't comment on it either. I think she had the same error one I have, but I have seen the legal one the OP shows too. They are the exact same except for this error.

Remember to have Dynamax Level = 8 or higher, it's illegal if it's anything lower. I imagine that small detail would trip a lot of people up.
-
Yes, ROC's Shiny Melmetal is illegal too. Just keep in mind, Shiny Meltan has had 3 different distribution times in Go, and none have happened in 2018.
-
The problem is in your stats tab. Every dynamax legendary has a specific value for its dynamax level. If you have another Pokemon from the max lair you can check this value. Be sure to update your height/weight values and your Encryption Constant value as well before you finish.

Shiny Celebi PID reroll problem (Card # 0108 - Mystery Gift)
ICanSnake replied to alanrius's topic in Pokémon Legality
Yes, Celebi does have a fixed PID, as do other shiny gen 8 events (Korean Amoonguss). The only way it's legal is to have that fixed PID, earlier versions of PKHeX didn't account for this. What do you need a rerolled PID for?- 3 replies

It is currently trade locked, so as of right now it can only be traded between LGPE, You can send it though to your own Home and to your own SwSh game, but you can't trade it to anyone else. We don't know if the trade lock will be released or not.

Did you check any other tabs? Such as say, the SAV tab?

You can't access Newmoon Island in Diamond. Change it to Platinum.

Gen 4 Jun Psyduck REPLICA (not legit)

IVs are 3 random max. The wondercard information hosted here does list IV data, the 3 random scrolling markings are used to note it.

You know it's a TR so you got it half right, your next step is to fill out the TR section. You currently have it as if Celebi learns Nasty Plot through level up or TM, which is only an event exclusive move. Remember TMs are different than TRs, so they have different properties. I'm sure you saw the Technical Records button below the egg moves, right?
