You're probably better off using a tailor-made Action Replay/Game Shark code to make your current HP 1 at the beginning of each battle (maybe with a key combination to trigger it, or something). I can't make you one myself, but there should be people around here with the skills to do so.

Thanks. What I want is to obtain the event pokemon to transfer them to bank, and then to home. It sounds like the end result is exactly the same for whichever way I do it.
Then you should go the gift route. Individual .pkm files are the same every time, while an in-game gift is generated when you redeem it, and is, as such, 100% the same as a legitimate Pokémon, provided you had received the Wonder Card back then and forgotten about it for years.

Every Shadow Pokémon is obtainable again, including the first starter. If that's your concern, delete the generated Croconaw. The game will also obviously not account for anything generated, since the flags are stored elsewhere.

I'd hazard a guess that WISHMKR Jirachi is probably in PKHeX's event database, it's probably easier if you just use that one. If you want to make it shiny, you'll need to look up PID/IV tables

EDIT: Ninja'd with the download links, sorry

@theSLAYER @Kaphotics as pointed out in another topic by @dji, this also affects the GameCube games, at least Colosseum, and I ran into the same issue today.

I ran into the money issue today too! I've just started a Colosseum playthrough on my phone, and when I edited the save to give myself some items, my cash went down to 0. No big deal, since, well, I gave myself the items, but there's something wrong, and I hope nothing else is corrupted.

Hi! I've been using PKHeX for years, and I believe this is a newly introduced bug. I have a European 3DS, and all my extracted gamesaves and Pokémon now say "Americas (NA/SA)" in the region field. If I manually change it to Europe, the Pokémon then throw an error saying "Country is not in region" (and Portugal is, in fact, in Europe ).

Just to add to what @theSLAYER said: this works for transfers that would legitimately be allowed in the real games. That is:
- back and forth between Gen 1 and 2 (for Gen 1 Pokémon)
- Gen 3 to Gen 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8
- Gen 4 to Gen 5, 6, 7 or 8
- Gen 5 to Gen 6, 7 or 8
- Gen 1, 2 or 6 to Gen 7 or 8
- Gen 7 to Gen 8
- Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee to Gen 8
This always assumes a non-dexited Pokémon if going into Gen 8, of course, and any transfer to Gen 8 will technically be illegal without a HOME tracker.

Maybe post this here:

Glad to hear it's working. Just a heads-up: most of your Pokémon are corrupted. I've seen, for example, an Ivysaur nicknamed GYARADOS with moves that actually matched a Gyarados. So it'll probably be a while before you have everything back up and running
-
If @SkyLink98's file loads up well in PKHeX, I might be able to get it to proper working condition. I'll try and let you know. As for my file running normally: yeah, in mGBA it did, despite most Pokémon having garbage names.
-
As far as I can see, the best course of action would be to extract all those Pokémon to .pk2 files. Afterwards, create a new Pokémon Crystal save, edit it in PKHeX so that your name and ID match, insert all those Pokémon with PKHeX, then play through the game again to have a finished save. Or just download a finished save and edit the info to match yours. Both would work. I'll play around with your file anyway and see if I can get it to run.
EDIT: I managed to make it run and save in mGBA. You still have a lot of corrupted Pokémon, and the save file won't open in PKHeX so that we can batch export/import Pokémon (and PikaSav's .pkm files won't load in PKHeX), but at least it's playable. If I find any other solution, I'll let you know.

Yeah the whole met level 100 having a set nature thing would be an issue, but that isn't the issue discussed by the OP at all.
Since you've identified that as an issue, raise the issue for it on PKHeX's Github, thanks :3Just tested this out myself before posting. Working as intended. OP was just extremely lucky that a clean Level 5 and a Level 100 one would have the same Nature. My bad.

Yes, it's working as intended.
On the PK7, the Met level of any VC mon, is dependent on the level it was transferred as.
So if you transferred the Mew at lv 100, the met level on the pk7 is lv 100.
It only becomes an issue if the met level is below the level the event was distributed at. (tho in that case PKHeX flags it, so also working as intended).I believe there is an error, though: if Met Level is 100, the Nature should always be the same (since it's based on current EXP and there's only one possible value for EXP at Level 100 for each species). PKHeX doesn't seem to be checking for this edge case.

So, if someone flags a VC Pokemon as shiny in PkHeX or something and then transfers it, it's not possible to make out that it was edited, like you could with seeing seed and SID correlation in old games, for example?
It's very hard to tell, especially if it was made shiny in the VC save before going into Transporter in the first place. Most Gen 1 Wild Pokémon can't be shiny, but since the game doesn't record a lot of data and Transporter sets the origin game to whatever VC game it was in right before Transporting, most could technically pass off as Gen-2-bred shinies. There's pretty much always an edge case that makes them technically possible.

The transfer also cuts the XP down to the start of the current level. So it can still look untouched but be a different nature. I've done that by taking a Pokemon and adjusting the nature using steps in the daycare. Then after the transfer I had the desired nature and the XP gain was lost and it still looked untouched.
Now that's something I hadn't thought of. I spent hours fighting weak Pokémon with a Mew that could've been avoided
-
There are some things that are fixed. Assuming it's treated the same way as Mew, it should have 5 perfect IVs. If it's treated like regular Pokémon, it'll have 3. If it's untouched (no battle experience), the Nature should always be the same (because it's determined by the experience it has in the original VC game at the time of transfer). PID/EC, as far as we know, is untraceable.

I'll usually catch some I already have if they show up during the main story and I want to use them. However, I tend not to be too thorough, as I know I'll be bringing everything over once I can.

I play on Drastic DS emulator and AR codes work spectacularly
They do work. However, they have major limitations. If you're playing on an emulator, then it's even easier: just send your save file to your PC and edit it directly with PKHeX. If you're bent on using AR codes, you have to download an older program (PokéGen) and get the old .pkm files for these events. PokéGen can then generate AR codes. However, the hassle is a lot bigger than just editing your emulator save file in PKHeX.
-
Codes are not the ideal way to do so nowadays. If you can extract your save, just use PKHeX to inject the .pk4 files from the event gallery on this very site.
-
.pkX files are individual Pokémon files, extracted from your save with save editors such as this own website's PKHeX. The X in the name represents the generation format, and you can import them in any way you would in a main game title. For example: a Gen 5 game can import pk3/ck3/xk3, pk4 and pk5 files, while a Gen 7 game can import everything below pk7 (with the exception of pk1/pk2 files containing event Pokémon unobtainable in the Virtual Console versions).
If you have a way of extracting the save from your DS Game Card (for example, a hacked 3DS), you can then use PKHeX to edit your save at will, including obviously the extraction of pk4 files and injection of pk3 and pk4 files, in the case of a Gen 4 game.
