    if you are using an action replay the game freezes at certain points throughout the game, i know this because i was climbing the shaymin mountain and the game froze on me every time then i took out the ar and it worked

    it is completely normal for 3rd gen hatched pokes to come up as unknown gba and yes, your assumption is part right, it also happens in hg/ss
