    i have had this problem too, click so that the blinking line deal shows up to enter your name but before entering your name push backspace about 20 times, i suggest doing this on the main screen so all you have to do when editing a poke is hit same trainer (or whatever button sets that as the pokes trainer

    you can use rudolphs backup tool (its free) to transfer saves to the cart and id imagine theres a save manager to use saves with the digital copy

    just so you know you should use the edit post button i just did that and got the same thing in my game, makes me wonder if he didnt get his sid correctly

    i just got that to see how it would work with my game. it doesnt appear to have any options to edit the pokedex so the only thing you can do to get the data is use the extended mew trick to get all the pokemon you create into the pokedex

    if you are playing a cartridge game you can buy a monster brain. they are kind of like a pokesav for gen 1 and 2. they let you edit what pokemin are in your party, what items are in your bag, yours and your rivals names, money, what pokemon youve caught/seen, and i think a couple of other things.

    i believe the red gyarados is supposed to be chained shiny in hg/ss, did you set the hidden values and leave the place met set to faraway place, other than that i have no idea. maybe you should upload the file so someone can look at it
