  1. Not to mention having access to DS distro ROMs to modify hasn't hurt that market in the slightest. And would have seen that affected YEARS ago, since the first DS distro to get dumped was the US GameStop Deoxys cart, in 2008.
  2. Ok, so they did use different carts at the Bryant Park event. Hopefully the different OT wouldn't change the generation algorithm too much.
  3. I'd assume those are from the same carts at the Journey Across America, considering they have the 10 ANIV OT. EDIT: I just now realized that 10ANNIV = UK and 10 ANIV = US.
  4. Good to know. Did you run through the other 10ANIV Pokemon on that save to see how their trash bytes matched up?
  5. Here's a threat on Digiex that has saves with at least one ROCKS Metang (and a bunch of other events, including various 10ANIV ones) that HaxAras has been helping with: http://digiex.net/downloads/download-center-2-0/nintendo-game-boy-content-gb-gbc-gba/save-games/14690-pokemon-gen3-legit-event-pokemon-save-ruby-sapphire-emerald-firered-leafgreen.html Direct Link to Latest Saves: http://digiex.net/attachments/downloads/download-center-2-0/nintendo-game-boy-content-gb-gbc-gba/save-games/15053d1479696106-pokemon-gen3-legit-event-pokemon-save-ruby-sapphire-emerald-firered-leafgreen-pokemon-fire-red-gen3-legit-event-pokemon-20-11-16.zip
  6. So all we need is a custom GBA or GameCube/Wii program that sends a multiboot ROM with the generation algorithm and everything else the games need to create the Pokemon and place it in your party. That should be doable, right? *lightbulb* I know it wasn't a 10ANIV event, but maybe we can also figure out how the ROCKS Refresh Metang was generated as well.
  7. If it can't be done, then there's always adapting the generation algorithm to a homebrew DS or Wii/GameCube tool. I'd be fine with either, honestly. Though if all three can be done, even better!
  8. I want what preserves these events in the best way for both sides. I mean, I get the whole "rare collectible" aspect behind the actual distro cart, but I don't feel that alone should keep the people wanting uncloned legal versions of these Event Pokemon from getting them. Now don't get me wrong, having access to the actual distro ROM would be amazing, but I'd be perfectly fine with a custom distro program that generates these events in the exact same way the official distro cart does (same generation algorithm and same method of sending data to the games, which I believe was the Multiboot method). Naturally other methods would be cool too (DS and/or GameCube/Wii homebrew, like what suloku developed for the Gen 3 ticket events). Of course, the distro ROM I'd really love access to is a Gen 3 Wonder Card one. It wouldn't matter if it was the official or a reverse engineered one, having a way to distribute Gen 3 Wonder Cards the exact way done in the original events (instead of the "share Wonder Cards using the With Friends option" method we have to make do with) is something I've wanted to be able to do ever since the DS Deoxys distro ROM got dumped and modified back in 2008.
  9. That would leave the possibility of someone being able to use that modified ROM or the generation algorithm to make custom distro ROMs that function exactly the same as the real ROM, which is the part everyone here cares about. Brilliant idea!
  10. That would be the holy grail. That and a Wonder Card distro ROM. EDIT: Topic was started when theSLAYER moved posts discussing 10 ANIV carts after a couple members mentioned they had some and would be willing to share the generation algorithm (the thing a lot of people here actually want, myself included) but not the actual ROMs. EDIT 2: Considering the scope of this topic has expanded beyond 10ANNIV/10 ANIV research, I decided to rename it.
  11. Hopefully it won't be long before Sabresite pops in. I believe he still has Twig's saves so he could compare if he does (and maybe fill in the gaps while he's at it). Also, you won't be able to stop people from injecting the savs into retail carts and selling them. On the bright side, it seems like everyone gave up on selling Mew carts through eBay. I just did a quick search and didn't find any listings. Also, if you have any Gen 3 Egg Wonder Card saves, shoot 'em over to ajxpk. He's been researching Gen 3 Wonder Cards for over a year now (if not longer, last year was just when he made his thread). With help from various people here (and Nintendo Italy, funny enough), all of the Ticket events have been collected. He's just looking for Wonder Cards for the US Wish Eggs and the Japanese PokePark Eggs.
  12. *checks them out in Trigger's PC* If these are legit saves...
  13. Ah, right. Also, I always figured the "man in green" bit was either laziness or they just didn't wanna bother having two sets of Wonder Cards, even though they did anyway, as we discovered during this whole process.
  14. Hopefully someone will come forward with an official Egg Wonder Card so we know for sure if they just used the in-game script. All we have now is an assumption. It's a very solid assumption considering the script is in the game, but it's still an assumption nonetheless. Speaking of the tool, did you ever look into that bug with Wonder News not injecting into English FRLG saves?
  15. Blame the limit of one Wonder Card in Gen 3. Sounds like for the Eggs, we'll have to settle for recreations (which should be legal due to the official cards using the in-game Egg Gift scripts).
  16. I know it's a shot in the dark, but have any uncollected events surfaced?
  17. That's a very good point. Plus I've always been about preserving and sharing these events, no matter how "rare" they may be. That said, here are the Mews Sabresite previously uploaded. Gen 4 PKM format, untouched from the original download. MYSTERY Mews (Gen 4 PKM).zip
  18. I still have the Gen 4 .pkm set if anyone wants them.
  19. There's also the bug with Wonder News not injecting. Though I only tried it on English FRLG.
  20. Yes they are. Just like the FRLG cards are all for Trainer Tower. I wonder if it'd be possible to make an e-Reader dot code (or two if needed) that can send the Eon Ticket to all versions of R/S. Only reason I mention it is Prof.9 made custom dot codes for Mega Man Battle Network 4 through 6 that send data to both the Japanese AND English versions of those games (though his BN6 dot codes only work for the Japanese version due to how much Capcom stripped out of the English version). Also worth noting is his custom dot codes are only scannable on English e-Readers.
  21. The Emerald one wouldn't work because of Trainer Hill has a set amount of trainers. As for the R/S trainers, you'd need to inject them another way because Japanese Emerald's Mystery Events won't recognize the R/S cards. That's something I also tried using a printed dot code.
  22. Bummer about the Wonder Card trainers. Oh well, it'll be one more reason to keep Ruby/Sapphire around. As for the Eon Ticket in non-Japanese Emerald, just have the tool inject a non-sharable one directly into the Key Items pocket and enable the event, as if it was obtained from by Mixing Records.
  23. I wasn't denying the existence of the PokePark eggs, I was saying that the only PokePark egg Wonder Cards in circulation are the ones Taka hacked.
  24. I see two more problems with these Egg cards: 1. The only PokéPark Wonder Cards available are the ones Taka hacked (at least he got the Ticket events legit). 2. I don't remember seeing if the Wish Eggs were from Wonder Cards or just placed in the player's party like most of the other events. But yeah, the one Wonder Card limit in Gen III is very annoying.
