  1. Calibrating whatever you are doing for wild Pokemon isn't reliable at all, because Gen 3 games have a method of PID generation that can cause erratic frame results.

Method H1/H2/H3 is still not programmed into RNG Reporter.

I suggest you backtrack to see what nature frame you actually hit, it's somewhat complex but will allow you to calibrate 100%.

Smogon's RNG Research thread (pages 30+) has the information.

  2. There's active trainers and inactive trainers.

10 slots for active, 12? slots for inactive.

There's some problems with 00 being the trainer value loaded (Leo), as his "Talked To" hex is 00. Which means there's no trainer there. (You probably already know this)

I'll look at it more in depth tonight, thanks for making this!

    It's a ccitt-16 checksum by the way.

  3. Nah I haven't been looking at Battle Videos, trying to finish up on some RNG things for the Smogon Community :)

BGM = background music? If you could go a little more in depth with what you've found / how to abuse it, we might start to get some Video modding codes like in the HGSS era of display modding.

I will shift my focus back to this after that is done, thanks for your interest/help!

  4. No, there won't be any problems with your save if you actually receive a Pokemon.

Just be sure you got your intended Pokemon before saving.

(Of course the game never recognizes you receiving that Pokemon from someone else/yourself, but nobody ever checks/cares about that. Not even TPCi! I had 6 foreign Pokemon while only link/GTS trading 0 times on my save file. This was at the VGC stop in SJ).
