    Ok, I just tested it on my Japanese retail cart and it didn't work. Which is weird because it has worked for me on VBA (American save on a Japanese game). Edit: Correction: What worked for me was a Japanese save on an American game, sorry. Edit 2: Yep. An American game is able to use Japanese saves. Just tested this on my retail Sapphire cart.

    Oh, I had misread what you wrote. I'll take a look at it. Is there anything else than I can look at that could possibly indicate a lack of legitimacy? I know I have to check the ID and SID as well as the OT. Edit: Well, it looks like it's fake. It asks you to start the distribution by pressing A. I doubt European distribution carts are different.

    I'm sure there is one that only has Celebi, which is the one I got. I'm only worried about the legitimacy of the Wondercard since I don't want to "stain" my Diamond cart with a fake one.

    I'm pretty sure I got it to work with my Japanese LeafGreen once. I'll test it later.

    Actually, they do work. They just won't be able to display the whole name if it exceeds 5 characters.

    I wish I had access to the Bonus Disc, because I actually own a Japanese LeafGreen cart and would be able to test this =(

    Thanks for clearing that up. Also, do Pokémon traded from a US GBA game to a Japanese GBA game and then Pal Parked to a Japanese DS game have invalid trash bytes? I posted about it HERE.

    Hey, is the Pokémon Ranch Hypnosis Mew recognized by Legality Checker? Because I have a friend who has a flash card and when I traded her a Ranch Mew, she said she got a message that said "unknown or hacked pokemon".

    Oh, thank GOD. I was freaking out when a Smogonite told me my legitly-bred and tutored Emerald Counter Ampharos showed up as having invalid trash bytes. I use a US Emerald to breed and abuse the RNG, and then I trade with my Japanese LeafGreen so I can Pal Park to my legit Japanese SoulSilver. Would that also affect the trash bytes?
