Stats are recalculated after various interactions. Another thing to keep in mind is that the vast majority of games don't store stats when the pkm is in the box.

PKHeX is a save editor for core-series Pokémon games. With it, users can manipulate various save files including: .sav, .dsv, .dat, .gci, .raw, and .bin types.
