PKM Files Survey

I am curious about your answers to the above question. Please feel free to go into more detail in a post, and if you voted "I get PKM files, but not in any of the ways listed above." please explain how.

I get my PKM via Flashcart... and open up a RAW SAV file via Pokesav and end up exporting PKM files from it. It seems pretty simple enough.

There is a special hardware for accessing a cartridge's save file directly? Sounds intriguing... I will look into that.

I use a flashcard to obtain the SAV from my retail games. However having over 1500 pokemon makes it dificult. Perhaps u should consider getting a hardware device for this reason and to better help our community.

Well, I'm doing things a slight bit different.

I do EVERYTHING on my legit cartridge. To obtain/manipulate Pokemon, I trade them onto my flashcart and then back again, but my flashcart version isn't anything serious, really only made for pkm extractions.

Also, it's really just me and my two DS, so it's not exactly trading to someone else.

My methods are similar to CuleX's. Both of my actual game paks (Diamond and Platinum) are untouched by Pokesav/AR/etc. I keep modified *.sav files (with maxed out items, etc) of both on my flashcart, and that's what I'll use if I want to edit a Pokemon I've caught. If I have a Pokemon in Platinum I"ll trade it to Diamond on my flashcart (or vice versa), edit it and then trade it back to the real cart.

Well I play on my Japanese Platinum cart and then export it to my flashcart for pokesav edits. The only time I really use my flashcart is for ROM edits and homebrew.

I use my Supercard to play my Platinum rom and edit the .sav file directly off the microTF card using the obvious Pokésav.
