TheBeunhaas
The list has been completed. Special thanks to Kaarosu, who translated some yet untranslated names for me. It seems that HG/SS start at 7E. 7D is Rock Peak Runes, a Platinum location. EB and onwards are all Mystery Zone, thus there ends the list. Please note that this is the value the 46h byte should be. The 47h byte has to be 00 if you use any of these locations and the location met should be FarAwayPlace (3002) 7E - New Bark Town 7F - Cherrygrove City 80 - Violet City 81 - Azelia Town 82 - Cianwood City 83 - Goldenrod City 84 - Olivine City 85 - Ecruteak City 86 - Mahogany Town 87 - Lake of Rage 88 - Blackthorn City 89 - Silver Cave 8A - Pallet Town 8B - Viridian City 8C - Pewter City 8D - Cerulean City 8E - Lavender Town 8F - Vermillion City 90 - Celadon City 91 - Fuchsia City 92 - Cinnabar Island 93 - Indigo Plateau 94 - Saffron City 95 - Route 1 96 - Route 2 97 - Route 3 98 - Route 4 99 - Route 5 9A - Route 6 9B - Route 7 9C - Route 8 9D - Route 9 9E - Route 10 9F - Route 11 A0 - Route 12 A1 - Route 13 A2 - Route 14 A3 - Route 15 A4 - Route 16 A5 - Route 17 A6 - Route 18 A7 - Route 19 A8 - Route 20 A9 - Route 21 AA - Route 22 AB - Route 23 AC - Route 24 AD - Route 25 AE - Route 26 AF - Route 27 B0 - Route 28 B1 - Route 29 B2 - Route 30 B3 - Route 31 B4 - Route 32 B5 - Route 33 B6 - Route 34 B7 - Route 35 B8 - Route 36 B9 - Route 37 BA - Route 38 BB - Route 39 BC - Route 40 BD - Route 41 BE - Route 42 BF - Route 43 C0 - Route 44 C1 - Route 45 C2 - Route 46 C3 - Route 47 C4 - Route 48 C5 - Diglett Cave C6 - Mt. Bert
-Tin Tower is CD, both Ho-oH and normal. -Ice Path is D9 -Ruins of Alph is D1 -Shinto Ruins is E7 -Union Cave is D2 -Dark Cave is DC -Ilex Forest is D6 Those are all I have which you haven't already listed. Thanks a bunch for this btw, this is exactly what many people needed and I've spent ages looking for some of these on the web! This should be added to the hex values guide. TheBeunhaas
Thanks. I added those and all other values as well. I created some 70 pokemon on pokesav and then checked the locations it gave in-game. Now I only need somebody who can translate the values near the end of the list, but I doubt they're interesting, as the translator of my rom hasn't translated them either. By the way, could somebody double check if value EB is indeed mystery zone? I can't read Japanese at all, so it's best to know for sure. EB, EC and ED are all the same. arsyniiC
So I opened a .sav file in pokesav and I realized that in the trashbyte 86h, there was a 04 as the value. Does anyone know what this does?
Ronin
So I opened a .sav file in pokesav and I realized that in the trashbyte 86h, there was a 04 as the value.Does anyone know what this does? It means that Pokemon was either caught with Poke Ball or was hatched--meaning the default ball would have also been Poke Ball. Check out the reference in the hex value guide. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?218-%7EGuide-to-44h-45h-46h-47h-and-85h-Values%7E

arsyniiC
Thanks. Would you happen to know the Hex Value for Mr.Pokemon? I tried putting 3002 for the area hatched, then the Hex for Route 29 but it still came up as Faraway Place.
Shiranui
So, for clarification, this all applies to the English HG/SS PokéSAV? I've been out of the circle for a little while ;-; Also, why FarawayPlace and not Johto? o3o
Ronin
why FarawayPlace and not Johto? o3oBecause the programmers decide they don't deserve wasting their time updating the current HGSS PokeSav and think we could just type in the hex value manually instead. Right now what we are doing is trying to find all of the location in HGSS by inputing each and every hex values. Or at least to the amount that we think should get all of the location in HGSS. Either that or the programmers were waiting for us to do the work for them to gather all the hex values at once before they do a huge update. Schyzm
So what location would you use if you traded a pokemon from Platinum to HGSS? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ronin
So what location would you use if you traded a pokemon from Platinum to HGSS? Any help would be greatly appreciated. You would still use the location found in Sinnoh region. The name of locations such as the "Oreburgh Mine", "Route 203", "Valley Windworks", and etc. would still appear in HGSS. It's only when you traded Pokemon from HGSS over to DPPt that the location becomes "Far Away Place." Try trading over Pokemon from DDPt over to HGSS and you should get the same result.
