wraith89
Take note members: Recently, there has been an influx of inappropriate topics created by certain bots with very nasty and vulgar content in it. Not only has it been disturbing me because I do the clean up job but I'll bet those who have seen it were disturbed too. So whenever you see topics with names like (pardon my French), "How a Penis Gets an Erection" or "How to Maximize your Ejaculation Experience" posted in strange locations, PLEASE DO NOT CLICK ON THEM!!!. Rather, please report them to a mod/admin, which means either me or anyone else with Blue, Teal, or Red names by sending them a visitor message or a private message. Anyhow, thank you for your time and I apologize to anyone who had to take the luxury of viewing such topics. Gin
...There are other off topic messages, as well, advertisements, book reviews, and the like.
wraith89
I know, but those that you have mentioned are relatively safe to get in and push the report button. Those that I have just mentioned are NOT safe to go in... and it fills the reported post section with gruesome images too.
HottSushiz
Man the person who devised such software much be creepy, but the titles are lol.

Mewtwo Ex
I think it is dark purple or just plain purple. Thank you Wraith. I will keep an eye for these threads.
evandixon
We've had some trouble similer to this over at FlashCartReviews.com, bots posting Spam in the News or Rules forum (my favorite is a new credit card offer). Why do they have to do that, anyway? *sigh*
FLOOTENKERP
Wow... bots? I never saw that happening here. Will keep an eye out for mysterious threads or posts, it's probably just some Pokemon haters anyway.
Okami
It sounds like some people are having too much fun in the shower. *cough* That being said, my eyes are watchful to these things.
evandixon
it's probably just some Pokemon haters anyway. Don't assume that. At FCR, I saw a new credit card offer that ended in a message that said that you should e-mail some e-mail address with "NO ADS" as the title to stop forum ads. Definately a bot. If it can happen in Simple Machines, it can probebly happen in vBulletin.

SCV
Will registration CAPCHAs do the job? We have had reCAPCHA activated since we opened. Apparently there are people who dedicate themselves to typing in CAPCHAs and then let bots take over.

Narwhal
How about more than one reCAPCHA when registering? Can't you also delete members? Delete bots and have more than one of the reCAPCHAs on the register page, since we don't have to register more than once.

randomspot555
a random attack by an enemy site, i think? There are too many dumb posts like this in the thread. It's barely on the second page. Everything you need to know is on the first page. Any more "TLDR" comments like that will get infracted.

That is a somewhat good idea. However if the administrators/moderators would have approve every member member would be too much of a hassle. I recommend that an email should be imputed before completing one's registration...

jesu
Just make it so new members cannot register until the warning is over. Simple as that.
FLOOTENKERP
Um.... the warning will be on forever. It's just us being on the lookout for bots. If we disable new registries, then re-enable them, people out there will still make bots.
