Is it possible to convert the event Pokemon files to a Pkhex-friendly format? I tried opening one, but neither of the formats in the zip were recognized.

What were they specifically? Wc6 files can be opened in the Wondercard option in PKHex. PCD, PGT, PGF files can be opened with Pokegen's Mystery Gift editor. Only there can you turn them into pkm files, injecting them into a Gen IV/V game, claiming it in game, then back up game and export the event pokemon as .pkm.

Gen iv files for the Osaka Meowth.PCD and PGT. Guess I'm in trouble then unless I can get my action replay program to work and locate the cable.

If you actually own the game, just download an emulator and ROM - they support Action Replay codes, and I believe there are methods to extract pkm files from ROM saves. So use the AR code in the ROM, collect the Pokemon in-game, save, extract pkm file, and open in PkHex.

Where can I get a safe emulator? I tried to DL I think Visualboy and got a virus from it. IDK where to go that's safe.

You'd need a DS emulator for Gen 4, no? VisualBoyAdvance won't do it - try DeSmuME.

But Desmume faq says they wont support the games.

DeSmuME plays gen4/gen5 games.

PKHeX does not support loading of past gen gift files, as they are not convertible. Gift files (wondercards / pgf/pgt) are templates which the game has to generate itself.
