listenhard Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I'm trying to make a Rayquaza and I keep getting "invalid Pal Park trash bytes." And also "PID doesn't match nature." I've tried everything to fix this. If someone could help I'd REALLY appreciate it!
Kaphotics Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 those problems won't matter for battling with friends; if you use the 'tools' and check it against nintendo's checks it'll pass
listenhard Posted July 22, 2013 Author Posted July 22, 2013 I don't see anything under Tools about Nintendo checks... I'm fine with all of that though I am just a perfectionist and I wanna have a shiny flawless LEGAL Rayquaza
theSLAYER Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I don't see anything under Tools about Nintendo checks...I'm fine with all of that though I am just a perfectionist and I wanna have a shiny flawless LEGAL Rayquaza My advice: 1. Copy the full name of a Rayquaza with proper pal park trash bytes (another Rayquaza that came from gen iii, you can search pokecheck ) 2. In Gen III, for encountered pkm, pid matches iv and nature. if you can't get the pid and iv and nature AND being shiny to generate, change your ID and SID. You can use pokegen to generate the PID. A In this forum, there used to be a program that generates PID/IV and shows shiny ID and SID, search it up.
listenhard Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 (edited) So it looks like this guy did exactly what I did and his worked... https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=4917403 And here's mine: https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=5349841 Edited July 23, 2013 by listenhard
listenhard Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 I'm searching but I don't see anything... I'm not really sure what I'm looking for haha...
listenhard Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 Ok so I see a button in Pokegen that says "generate shiny ID" but its greyed out... Also, I tried just making him non-shiny and still had the same problem. Also tried copying and pasting ID's and PID's and all kinds of different stuff from different ones on Pokecheck to no avail. What gives??

There will be a button that pops up a window. At the windows, select all ivs 31, and set the symbols to "=". Set the nature and hit generate. (It's okay if its not shiny) after you get the desired pid, go time the last tab and generate shiny id

Now I just have to figure out how to get the "Invalid Pal Park trash bytes" to go away... Any ideas?
listenhard Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 Okay so I just accidentally discovered something strange... When I make the Rayquaza with 7 characters in the OT name field it works! But any other amount gives the "Invalid Pal Park trash bytes" error. Frickin' weird... Any idea why this would be? I'd like to have my actual name on there if possible.
Kaphotics Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 trash bytes don't matter for playing against friends; your initial links pass nintendo's checks
listenhard Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 trash bytes don't matter for playing against friends; your initial links pass nintendo's checks Oh I know I just want it to be completely legit looking
Guested Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 It will LOOK just fine. Trashbytes are not visible.
listenhard Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 It will LOOK just fine. Trashbytes are not visible. It doesn't look fine on Pokecheck though. It says "Invalid Pal Park trash bytes" in red under OT
Guested Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Won't the only one looking at it on pokecheck be you??? Unless you are trying to fool someone with this Pokemon...
evandixon Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Trash bytes are just the game's shortcut to making as few writes as possible. They can be analyzed to determine if something's hacked, but that only applies online.

listenhard Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 Okay so now I'm trying to make a shiny Mew and I keep getting "Unknown GBA PID." Any ideas on how to fix this?
Kaphotics Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 PIDs and Trash bytes do not matter when you are battling with friends. https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=toolbox Check Pokémon against Nintendo hack checks: Pokécheck ID of Pokémon to test: 5363032 Result: Pokémon passed Nintendo checks. uploader mgrant09 Your upload is fine to use locally/online against friends; pursuing it any further to trick other players is against PP's and Pokecheck's rules.
