edes Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 How about finding a way to dump the .pkm files to the game, you can probably send them with a cell phone
Fallen Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Lame. DSi exclusivity. I'd rather stick with my DS lite and AR than go to the DSi for this feature and have no AR.
fenzo666 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Lame. DSi exclusivity. I'd rather stick with my DS lite and AR than go to the DSi for this feature and have no AR. Why are all of you assuming there is DSi exclusivity?
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I'm with you The Fallen. This thing will totally suck if it is only for the DSi.
InuYouki Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 ..... um did you all miss the post about the IR thing in the CART? Anyway, great new info! I can't wait.
ZMaster Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 That IR thing seems to be rather annoying =/ Ah well, I probably won't use any IR thing anyhow, since I usually don't get any extra accessories.
Fallen Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Why are all of you assuming there is DSi exclusivity? It's more of an assumption more than anything. Logical at that. Lets face it, HGSS will not be DSi exclusive; no way. But, we know that some function is going to be exclusive to the DSi. I doubt it'll be something major to the game, so why not this dismal add-on. And if I may add, this thing looks cheaper than pleather. If you drop it once it'll probably break into a million peaces.
Guested Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Pretty sure fenzo said it was IR on the cartridge... Anyway, one thing that's interesting to note is this: The sprite for Pikachu is the one from Diamond and Pearl. What does this mean? Or does it mean nothing at all? It could mean: It's an early prototype and will include HGSS sprites in the final. The PokeWalker having DP sprites means that HGSS will also. or The PokeWalker has DP sprites, but HGSS will have new sprites. So.... who knows...... ha
InuYouki Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Yeah, I noticed that too guested. Wonder why. Maybe all the sprites for HGSS haven't been made yet or , like you said, maybe HGSS is using DP sprites. And Fallen, if it has already been said at least two or three times, that the IR is on the cartridge why would you or anyone else still assume it is a DSi exclusive? What is it with everyone and this OMG BETTER NOT BE DSI EXCLUSIVE bandwagon?
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I hope they are not using the same artwork. I like new artwork, it's much better. Also, in the original game Gold had different sprites then Silver, so maybe one of these games is using new sprites, and the other is using the old ones?
InuYouki Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Good point Floot! It would be awesome to see that carry over into the remakes. Maybe that's why the PokeWalker has the DP sprite.
NTR-AAQE-USA Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 This IR thing will work on EVERY device, that can use DS-Carts...
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 That's good to hear. I just hope this thing can do much more then gain experience and give you items.
captaincurran Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Is it just me or does this new toy remind anyone else of the Pokemon Pikachu and Pokemon Pikachu 2 from back in the day of the GBC era games?
Guested Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Is it just me or does this new toy remind anyone else of the Pokemon Pikachu and Pokemon Pikachu 2 from back in the day of the GBC era games? Yeah, we've actually been talking about that... but maybe it was in the other thread about this thing.
kris12k4 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 so wait is the game coming out for both dsi and dsl???
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 This thing even uses watts like the Pikachu GS system.
Guested Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 so wait is the game coming out for both dsi and dsl??? The DSi and the DSLite are both DS. So, yes. The only games that will ever only come out on one would be downloadable games for the DSi. This is obviously not a downloadable game, so it will be playable on both systems. I don't know why people keep thinking there's going to be exclusives for one or the other.
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Yeah that does get annoying, but there are exclusive features, I guess that confuses people. Anyways, I can't wait for this to be released.
edes Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Pretty sure fenzo said it was IR on the cartridge...Anyway, one thing that's interesting to note is this: The sprite for Pikachu is the one from Diamond and Pearl. So.... who knows...... ha Those would be the only possible answers, Nintendo has never released a Pokemon game with different sprites. Even Green, red and blue had different sprites.
codemonkey85 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 The only games that will ever only come out on one would be downloadable games for the DSi. This is obviously not a downloadable game, so it will be playable on both systems.I don't know why people keep thinking there's going to be exclusives for one or the other. Probably articles like this. [Masato] Kuwahara also hinted at games that were designed specifically the Nintendo DSi, indicating that they would not be playable on the original Nintendo DS or DS Lite.
InuYouki Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Those would be the only possible answers, Nintendo has never released a Pokemon game with different sprites. Even Green, red and blue had different sprites. Your sentences confuse me. First you say Nintendo never made different sprites, then in the next you say they did.... What is your point? If you are saying no, they never had different sprites, you are wrong. G/S both had different sprite sets. DP have different from Platinum *mostly*
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 It was probably a mistype. I think he is trying to say that Nintendo has never released a game with the same sprites, even Red Green and Blue had different sprites. But either way, maybe Pokéwalker will use the same sprites as DP, but not the same as HG and SS.
edes Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Your sentences confuse me. First you say Nintendo never made different sprites, then in the next you say they did.... What is your point? If you are saying no, they never had different sprites, you are wrong. G/S both had different sprite sets. DP have different from Platinum *mostly* Meant their games have always different sprites. English is not my first language :\
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Well you did a good job and brought up a very good point. The older games didn't use the same sprites in the two different versions. Even the third version had different sprites. Maybe Pokéwalker has different sprites then both of the games, just using the DP sprites.
