Ahito95 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 The Italian Shiny Palkia and Giratina from the GameStop distribution aren't recognized as event Pokémon, but Dialga is ok! Palkia: https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=8941212 Giratina: https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=8941213
Yavos Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 I just checked the German versions of Dialga, Palkia and Giratina distributed by local stores and during Pokemon Day 2013. Dialga worked. Palkia (WC #149) and Giratina (WC #150) didn't. Both wondercards can be found here.
Hozu Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 (edited) https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=9034285 This has a valid encounter (modest sync required) yet is showing as not. If it was deleted... From Pt - Route 208 Ralts (encounter slot 4, with slots being numbered 1-12) is possible with PID 0x1C63E51D and IVs of 23/13/25/27/1/29. Edited March 6, 2014 by Hozu
Cassandra Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Hello. Sorry if this is the wrong thread (since it says Gen5 now)...but is there any way to update the database so that any Pokemon caught from the Sinjoh Ruins does not come up with an error like this: "PALKIA\xFFFF\xFFFF\xFFFF\xFFFF\x0000 Does not match any region's character map."
natnew Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=7666261 "Default strain (might be from hacked pokérus)." I know is says "MIGHT", and it did not have pokerus when caught (was spread) (no duh a shiny with pokerus is next to impossible), and it is cured, but it is legit. also... it does not appear 2 times in the database (I checked)
Unowninator Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=9479869 Origin is White, hatched in Black City.
Hozu Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=search&tid=Debug-G¬pub=1 That's the default OT name given to Pokémon created by the Pokémon Ruby German debug ROM. It might be a good idea to flag that as orange or something (who the hell would name themselves "Debug-G"?). http://tcrf.net/Pok%C3%A9mon_Ruby_%28Debug_Version%29/Debug_Menu#Create_PkMn
ghost512 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=9502607 Says the combination of these egg moves are illegal. I don't know what to say, but those are what were spit out when I bred my Larvitars.

I don't know what to say, but those are what were spit out when I bred my Larvitars. Where did you get the parents from? If you got the male from Pokécheck, it would have said it had an illegal egg move combination as well.
LEGOanimal22 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=9479869Origin is White, hatched in Black City. Could have been obtained in White and traded over to Black.
Hozu Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Could have been obtained in White and traded over to Black. No.
Agonist Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 This has a completely illegal encounter type, and yet...
Admiral Curtiss Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 The checker seems to have issues with spaces in nicknames and trainer names. https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=9371162 https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=9372538 I don't recall exactly but I think these were caught on German Gen 3, traded to Japanese Gen 3, Pal Park'd from that to Japanese Gen 4, later traded to English Gen 4 and transferred from that to English Gen 5.
Luminaut Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Possible method J/K slots don't match encounter. ^ Legit Nincada named Viper is showing this message for Locations. It was caught in HG next to that kid you fight north of Goldenrod who has a Venomoth.

It was caught in HG next to that kid you fight north of Goldenrod who has a Venomoth. Always link to the upload in question. https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=9866497 Was captured on a Saturday in a Sport Ball -- Bug Catching Contest ESV Slot 1: 20 - 39 72100276 seed (frame 474); doesn't have this ESV (only 2,7,2), which is why it is flagged. BCC encounter slots have never been 100% documented (RNG Reporter notifies users of this) so you can assume it's legal if you captured it. It's just not big enough of a deal for a thorough investigation/fix... BCC errors might be changed to a non-red message in the future.
VeganButcher1 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Adding some more foreign language wonder card events to the database would help tremendously. So far I've found: -Italian Team Rocket Meowth (missing; reads as invalid event pkm despite the japanese team rocket meowth reading as valid) -Italian World Championships 2013 Smeargle (missing; reads invalid despite alternate language for same event reading valid) -Italian Summer 2012 Pikachu (valid event pkm; haven't checked pokebank for false positive yet though)

Hozu Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 [17:22:09] TheSonAlsoRises quick question regarding the legality analysis:[17:22:15] TheSonAlsoRises https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=10486260 [17:22:24] TheSonAlsoRises this gen4 check shows up as legal [17:22:39] TheSonAlsoRises a different poke with the same TID: https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=10486785 [17:22:56] TheSonAlsoRises this one was transferred to gen5 using Pokécheck, TID is supposedly hacked [17:23:00] Hozu That's strange... [17:23:18] TheSonAlsoRises yet the same TID/SID also shows up as legal: https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=4865875 Basically two mons with the exact same OT and game version have a different message when it comes to the TID/SID combination
based overlord Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 This Dialga I RNGed at the Sinjoh Ruins is showing up as having a hacked PID even though the valid spread listed is its actual spread. https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=10627869

Method 1 gift type Pokémon are mistakenly using Method J/K. J/K (and H) are subsets of Method 1, but not all of the Method 1 spreads are in J/K/H. That spread happens to be one of them, so it is erroneously flagged as illegal.

Thanks for the quick response and all the support on this in general! Missed most of the 4th and 5th generation during college, and my ability to catch up and fully enjoy these games would have been seriously diminished without Pokecheck.
