Yes, it is long but I assure you it works. I have only tested it on the latest DeSmuME so I suggest saving your game before putting the code into the AR just in case.

I am not sure about this but if you have a shiny modifer code on won't it make the Pokémon hatch shiny?

The shiny code only makes wild encounters and most legendary encounters shiny, it doesn't affect gifts and eggs

It's because the game creates the PIDs differently for eggs. Same deal for gifts.

And since you are modding the PID, any shiny code will lose its ties to any nature it had (which can be detected later).

The other legendary encounters use different methods to compute the PID.

Actually, it does work on Legendary Pokemon such as Zekrom, Reshiram, Kyuremu, ect, ect. The only Legendary Pokemon that it doesn't work on is Victini.
