randomspot555 Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 And hopefully the site will continue to succeed and grow.
Torte de Lini Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Well, to be fair, we brought alot of people from the old site. Some other sites did not have that luxury. Basically this. Although a nice feat to show, it's not at all surprising.
Fandalou Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 From what I observed, the number of registers in the old forum was 18.4 per day from 08/06/2008 to 10/22/2008. The number surged on 09/15/2008 to 33 that day. Amazingly, on 03/22/09, there were 266 new numbers registered because of the platinum.
pokemonfan Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Interesting. Not only the numbers, but the fact that you monitored them.
coolbho3000 Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Hooray! I'm astounded by the growth as well. I definitely that this site can possibly become bigger then the current top fan sites. That's definitely what we're aiming for.
Poryhack Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 We should also keep in mind how many people register but never post. The stats for people who've actually posted at least once are new site 605 vs old site 2089. But honestly, the only thing usercount demonstrates a significant relationship with is time. I personally like vB's "active users" feature, which displays on the main forum page how many registered users have logged in within the last 2 weeks; that gives us a better idea of how the community is really growing.
deezenuts Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 What's the point of having more members? Bragging rights?
Greencat Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 More Members = Bigger Community = Well Known In Pokemon = Making A Difference and Influencing Pokemon Users
empoleonmikel Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 What's the point of having more members? Bragging rights? more members = more ideas from different aspects and point of views :kikkoman:
HottSushiz Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I remember when we were targeted by Nintendo, (or was that a joke?) it was a positive and negative thing, negative that they're willing to close us down, but positive that Pokesav was getting well known around the world.
Poryhack Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 It was a joke. As you can plainly see, we're not closed.
Neo Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 There were alot of people who thought Pokesav.org was going to get shut down But as you can all see its still here with a shiny new site and an ever growing community
SCV Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 There were alot of people who thought Pokesav.org was going to get shut down But as you can all see its still here with a shiny new site and an ever growing community Pokesav.org did get shutdown and its not here. Pokesav.org was shut down by us in favor of building Project Pokemon.
xeomyr Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 We should also keep in mind how many people register but never post. just like me ... in the old forum .. you could say that .. I was only being a watcher there ... watching how to edit savefile using pokesav ... but somehow .. after the old forum gone , and the new one , PP, was born .. i feel kinda boring to be a "watcher" .. and then i decided do somethin different by posting in the savedata/hacking forum .. and it really2 improves my knowledge quickly by asking, answering post , ect ... well .. the main point is that .. this forum is awesome .. Project Pokemon rocks :grog:
